So, I haven't been very active on FA recently. Heck, active in anything furry related. I've been busy trying to find a place of employment for some steady income.

I hope to get some more commissions soon and then jumpstart this again. It's just tough trying to do so many things at once. I'm sure once I'm able to get my life back in order, things will settle. I just need a job first.

A new year means the start of the second semester. I went back to work today, but we don't have kiddos until tomorrow.

Can't wait to start new music tomorrow!

Back in October, I was in a wreck with a semi. Needless to say, it's been an ordeal. Of course, my little 2015 Chevy Sonic was totaled, but luckily insurance and my GAP insurance covered it.

Well, I got myself a new (to me) car. A little 2011 Honda CR-Z Hybrid. It is tiny, but I like it. I've had it for about a month, and on Saturday, one of my students (I teach band) noticed a strong gas smell coming from my car. Now, I've been sick with a sinus infection and walking pneumonia, so I could only make out small hints of gas. I decided to get it looked at.

Apparently a rodent got up underneath and chewed a sizable hole in the gas tank. The car dealer I bought it from said they could find a used tank and get it back up and going for me.

Fast forward to today. I get a call with bad news. The used tanks were damaged, so they weren't safe to put on my car. New fuel tanks are on backorder through Honda until March. Crap. I can't be without a car for 3 months.

They said that if I could find one, they would knock off some labor install pricing since I did part of the work, so I started looking. All auto salvage places in NE OK didn't have it. I called a Honda dealer. No luck.

I was pissed off, so I broke down and called the sales department of my original dealer to see what my options were. Nothing without negative equity. S*. I just purchased this car a month and a half ago, and now I was losing a big deal of money on it and left without a car. I was really pissed off now.

I went digging on good ole Google and after a couple pages, I got a hit. I found the part! It's in LA and used, but if it doesn't pass inspection (rigorous safety checks for liability sake on the dealer's part) I can get 100% refund. And the shipping and price are cheaper than the original quote to fix my car in the first place.

Hello!

So AC has been over for awhile now and I find myself hoping I have the money to go next year and possibly bring my little sister. I think she is a furry, but not as confident about it as I am.

Any rate, I had a blast. I got to suit in Azure, and I got to observe other suits so Azure's next head will be much better. Many said I had a knack for suit building, so after I get more confident in my abilities and style, I could possibly offer commissions. School is about to start, so I will be busy teaching and won't have much time to work on suits. Marching band takes a lot of time during the fall.

I also picked up my new suit of my new character by  mintpickles and  victoria10717. His name is Archer.

I liked his head so much that I did the fursuit parade in him. Plus on Thursday, it rained, so Azure's feetpaws got soaked and effectively ruined. I have a much better plan for her next set. Her paw pads became very slippery in the rain and I slipped 2 times on the way to the con center.

I made a quick detour in KY on the way home and got to see family. I love KY and will live there someday.

I came home with several pieces of art, lots of European candy and pop, 2K miles on my car, and lots of memories. I hope to make Oklacon in October, but I am having furry friend withdrawals. Hoping to find some Miami, OK, Tulsa, OK, or Joplin, MO furs to hang with.

Just in time for AC, I completed my full suit of my fursona Azure. I will be posting pictures soon. I'm glad to be done. The amount of loose fur flying around my house was ridiculous.

I also have a partial of my new character Archer waiting for me when I get to AC. More info on that later.

i have furred the head mostly. i still have the ears and the back to do, but I'm waiting on more fur. The nose hasn't been secured yet, and eyebrows are being debated.

I still have to do lips although I should have done them earlier. Oh well, I am learning.

feetpaws are mostly done. i have feetpads to put on as well as the hand paws.

The bodysuit is a little difficult, but it is getting there.

There is a lot left to do, but it is getting closer!

The fur arrived a couple days ago! It is so soft, but sheds! I also got a new sewing machine, so I have some updates.

I went ahead and did the handpaws. I am semi-happy with them as I had to shave them down some and it isn't quite even. 3.5 pile fur on your hands is quite bulky.
Feetpaws have been sculpted and attached to my shoes. I am in the process of furring them. I don't really want to buy a whole set of puzzle or gym mats for the soles, so I am still searching for individual squares.
I cut and stuffed the tail. I'm not very happy with the shape, so if I have enough material when I am done, I am making another tail. It's not bad for my first project with a sewing machine, but definitely amateur-looking.

Got the silicon nose from StuffedPandaStudios today. I tried to hollow it out as best as I could (that thing is one hunk of silicon!) and put it in the nose position on the resin mask.

I haven't secured it yet as I just got the nose today and didn't have much time to get it in there.
