like that journal says, nobody should feel obligated to watch me there. i have some stuff to post, but i'm at my mom's house in chicago at the moment and am away from my scanner. back home to omaha soon, though, & i'll scan a few things to toss up there. i wanna try to draw more; it's not like i have anything else to occupy my time with other than house cleaning stuff & chores. my boyfriend is still mostly bed-ridden (i'm in chicago because he sent me here, he's miserable and didn't want to snap at me or say anything stupid that he'd regret later on, you know?) so I spend most of my time just being a homemaker. except for the whole cooking thing, which i don't think i will ever get right.

Posted 15 years agoOn september 1st I'm moving with my boyfriend Mickey to Nebraska. Omaha, specifically. It's gonna be a very welcome difference from having lived in NYC my entire life, let me tell you. We chose NE specifically because his brother lives there with his wife & 3 children, and schooling is incredibly cheap there. Buuuut his brother pulled a dick move that lead to Mickey changing his phone number without telling him, and he doesn't intend ever to speak to him again. That was unexpected. We're going ahead with the move just for ourselves now. It's gonna be fucking great, the cost of living is phenomenally lower in NE than in NYC. Mickey pays over $1000 a month for a small 1br apartment in Astoria, Queens. We're going to spend $600 a month, maximum, for a nice-sized 1br apartment in Omaha. Like downtown, right in the city. And it'll be split between us, so $300. Ridiculous! Awesome!
We're going to be going to school there. He's gonna learn welding while I get an associate degree in bio. He did. But I was thinking it before he said it. i refused to say it first, though, out of self-preservation. i don't know how long he waited to say it after he realized he thought it. It was one night during our San Francisco trip back in January 01/?/10 and we were in a bar called Moby Dick. He was sober, I was on my first or second white russian. augh god i was so happy.

Neither of us. We fucking despise it.

I don't know, it depends on the style of vocals really. cos for simple melodic singing i'm better, maybe. but hardcore and punk and oi type of stuff, fuck i would suck at that. i hate girly hardcore/punk/oi vocals.

Him by 8 years.

He has much more street-smarts [it's true] than I do. He's cunning and intelligent in a sort of survivalist way, or like some kind of ...hawk, or something. i'm high. but i know a little more about anal details, like particulars of proper speech and punctuation and spelling, even if i rarely ever write 100% proper. he knows MUCH more about history than i ever will, but i know equally as much more about biological things and animals.

Well, originally he asked me out [i'm the first girl he's ever asked out!!! that made me proud to find out, because he's been in a few relationships before us] but i wasn't single, so i told him right away that i wasn't... my current relationship was stressing me out for longer than i think i realized, and i was having a fucking ton of internal struggle in deciding what to do, because i still loved the person i was with. so mickey and i hung out a few times as friends. when i broke up with skye, i thought about where i was in the world and what i wanted, and all that... but i realized i also had feelings for him. so after a little while of NNDGSGRHGGHHHNN NNHGGG UGH FUCK i confessed how i felt about him and then whittled him down like how a lion clings onto its prey until it is slowly sapped of energy. and he was like yes ok that would be nice. and he put a chain collar with a lock around my neck that night and oh my god i was fucking ecstatic.

uhhhh... i don't know if we really had one. i came over and sat in the couch wit him at his apartment when i got out of work and we talked for maybe 2 hours [just talked] and he gave me a pocket-blade for self defense that very night, which i still carry all the time.

Posted 15 years agoI have no time for FA any more. I have no time for the internet or for the computer in general, not these days. I work a decent amount [bout 28 hours a week] and most of the rest of the time is spent with my boyfriend, I sleep at his apartment more often than I do my own. I see his cat more often than I see my own poor babies [I live with my Dad, they're cared-for]. And I do want to try and look at all the gorgeous art you guys have been posting, but I pretty much nuked the journals, so if I missed anything important that you want me to know about, send me a note.
ALSOOO, IF YOU'RE WAITING ON ART I OWE YOU:
please send me a note as to what you want me to do. I can either refund you and show you what [if anything] i've done on your commission so far [since I have actually started most of them]... OR you can just continue to be as amazingly patient as you have been, and I -will- try to get it done within the next month or so. The hardest part of all this is that the commissions I owe are in digital format, or are supposed to be. If I hadn't been so dumb and taken digitals, I could probably get things done quicker. I'd print out references and draw shit by hand. Oh well, I guess this is a lesson learned 8T

Posted 16 years agoOk so I am unfortunately coming along very slowly with the icon commissions I took... they are all drawn and inked and scanned, except for a couple that were ordered a bit later than the first few.
My bebby cryth came and visited and it was amazing and too short as always...
And tomorrow [oh my god tomorrow] i will go fetch a caishide from laguardia and we'll shriek all the way back to my house. and then friday she and i will be going to CT to Jolyn's house and then leaving for fuckin FURFRIGHT! This is my first-ever furry convention! I will be mainly seen around the following furfaggots:

grausigkeit, and Jolyn's boyfriend Angel [who doesn't quite count as a furfaggot but is more a furry/convention virgin like me]. I will probably meet a ton of new people, which will be exciting! Trebuchet is in the repair shopppp but will hopefully be returned to me and able to run silently and not OVERHEAT LIKE A MOTHER and i don't know what all they'll have to do to it, but whatever i don't care i have all my data and stuff. but the boredom, i swear to god i'll probably go [a little more] insane before i get it back. anyhow i just wanted to let anyone know who gives a damn, and to say i will probably nuke all journal entries because really, you guys. I just talked to caishide on the phone for a little over an hour!!! This is a big accomplishment for both of us, because we're equally retardedly shy about phones. ...we found out that we've both independently planned to hoard each other's favourite crazy cores skittles colour and mail them to each other. i mean seriously. i am [if you couldn't figure it out from my gallery] obsessed with drawing humanoid figures, especially male. i LOVE anatomy but i've never had any formal education in the area of anatomy & physiology. i don't have any books to study from either, really, aside from a giant medical encyclopedia [that covers everything from anaphylaxis to z...ygotes] and an old eyewitness type book on the human body. i've got plenty of animal books but none on figure drawing or whatever. and i hadn't really even bothered looking around online to see what i could find. but Ary wrote a journal entry asking for resources and i saw in the comments that somebody linked posemaniacs, and i was like oo what dat. a couple of hours and 4 different drawings later i've already learned SO much. totally bookmarked the site and will be drawing even more naked people than i already do. :DDDD
...people look so much cooler without any skin. GOD though, that site. i'm so in love. if you've never heard of it and you recognize the fact that every artist in the whole world has the capacity for improvement no matter how talented or skilled, click that shit. for the love of god, click it.
i'm not so great at drawing female bodies [drawing girls often bores me; men are so beautiful oh my god], but maybe having this resource will make me do it more. ...maybe not. i don't care oh my god MUSCLES EVERYWHERE. 1. My first-ever screenname was Cheeky87. my dad made it for me and i was like LOL K COOL!!! i don't know how old i was, but i've been using computers [always mac] for like forever. god, AOL. i don't miss it.
2. yeah i used to draw a lot more back before i was at all decent at it. i'm not saying i'm some Dürer or anything but i have gotten a LOT better than i was in like 9th grade. but now i don't draw as much. it used to be MY LIFFFEEE. now it is notsomuch. :|

I think the last question is the one i'm most interested in getting some answers to. I realize that probably everyone says to themselves "jeez, azzua NEVER finishes anything." and that is true. i'm the happiest just scribbling messily with pencils in my sketchbooks. I WAS NEVER MEANT TO DO CLEAN, PRESENTABLE ART *runs off into the hills crying* no, but. i don't really think i'll ever be the kind of artist who can do very elaborate, detailed pieces with complete backgrounds and shading. i'm not really even interested in being able to do that. i know i don't have the patience, attention span, or motivation to be that kind of artist. art is not going to be a career for me [except for maybe photography aspects]. i don't make money off my art really, and i don't even draw on a daily basis any more. but i do love love love art. i love drawing, i love using messy supplies like inks and paint, and i love throwing every medium i can think of into one picture [though i don't do that very often]. so art is definitely a part of what makes me ME. i'll never stop drawing. i've been drawing all my life!

so i got to meet caishide and James!!! Seriously two of the GREATEST people I have ever met. I can't wait to see them again, I was so sad I had to leave today but I had work tonight. Ohh man, I think I waited too long to try and write anything about the past few days and now I don't think I CAN. Suffice to say that the 3 people already linked plus silverwing are all amazing friends and I'm soooo so glad I was able to hang out up in CT at Jolyn's house with them for a couple of days! I totally would have stayed longer if not for work, but hey, it's great to have a job again!!!

She lives in Florida and I in NY, so any time we can get together is very valuable. I'll miss out on meeting lots of new people probably, and tons of shenanigans, so I'm a little sorry but. I mean hell, bebbytime is so, so good. So I'll be having tons of fun too 8D and then after the con i'll get to finally meet caishide and bannik!!! so excited!
