Hey, All!! I'm trying to get back into drawing after the past few years of inconsistent uploads. (Sorry about that!! ;w;).
Since moving to Denver, I've been gradually becoming more active in the community and I've really been enjoying it which has given me an itch to draw more fuzzies...... o3o

I'm looking for some cool art ideas or characters to get me inspired! :D

I had a lot of fun, got to hang out with a bunch of awesome people, and drank A LOT of booz. xD
This was my first con in 2 years, so I wanted to live it up as much as I could the 2 nights we were there... and oh how I did. xD It flew by though. :C
I have PCD badddd but I'm glad I at least got to experience FWA this year :3
Now I'm already thinking about what future cons I want to attend! Only time will tell~~ :P

I have been looking forward to AC2016 for over a year now, but I had to make a decision.
A layoff is inevitable at my work this summer, so I figured it wouldn't be wise to invest the money now and not have a job when the con came around.

I chose FWA! I'm only staying for the weekend, but that is fine. x3

I'm drunk enough to admit I'm not the most constant artist to hit the fandom...... or the most reliable...

I started working for a large company, making decent money... but it's hard work and I'm exhausted when I get days off, so it's hard for me to get in a productive, artistic state of mind when I'm both physically and mentally beat.

Also..

I'm in debt to a few people and I'll be paying them back more than they gave me when I took on commissions when I was in a rough financial position. Money will get to you guys.. trust me. I'm sorry I couldn't deliver. truly.

True story..

Just rolled back into- *grits teeth* -Gastonia, and I'm TIRRRRRED.

BUT!

I want to write about FWA while it's still fresh in me memory.

My past few cons have been full of ups and downs, however, I am happy to report that FWA was HELLA DANK, YO!!!!

From the first night to the last, I was GOING HARD. 151 was my poison of choice for this convention. Love that shit! Perfect drink to get ya straight!

Other than betraying my liver, I had loads of fun hanging out with my awesum friends, new and old!

I wanna thank the 704 crew for letting a lil' Boom carpool & showing me a good time!! :D

I used to love drawing and creating. Now, I hate doing art... other peoples' art.

I'm indefinitely done accepting new commissions.

After these few, I'll be focusing on stuff that makes ME happy. I may do a comic or focus on getting better. Only time will tell.

I'll always remember this series. I started watching it a few years back (got to season 5), but when I moved out for the first time, I just lost interest. I re-watched the series over the past few months and I have a bit to say...

First off, I <3 Dexter (the character). M.C. Hall does an excellent job playing a tamed psychopath, only killing the wretched and wrong-doers. Guess what his profession is? CSI. Yup... serial killer working for the cops. Whoever came up with that idea needs a raise.

The casting is pretty damn good. Each detective, bad guy, and random ped acts as real as real can get. Though, Miami metro must be the most dramatic police department on the planet! (It never becomes gimicky or unbelievable, but the cast do an excellent job making the police department feel alive.

Dexter develops significantly throughout the series as he overcomes obstacle after obstacle. It's not always easy for him either, which is a nice touch. He will go through hell and back before solving a problem i.e. killing a baddy. M.C. Hall NAILS his character. I couldn't see anyone else doing such a fantastic job. He's believable and life-like. It amazes me how you actually WANT the killer to strive to victory. I'm not sure many other actors would be able to pull that off.

My favorite character was Deb, Dexter's sister. The first go-a-round, I hated Deb. She was whiny, annoying, and cursed like a fucking motherfucker. This go-a-round, however, I've fallen in love. I've become more analytical since the last time I braved through DEXTER, and I've discovered Debra is one of the most realistic and down to earth characters you'll ever watch. She talks like a real person, she's feeble like a real person, and she knows how to hit home, and when she does, she hits hard. Every time Deb breaks down and gets emotional, I don't feel like she's just whining to whine. It's real emotion, regardless of what circumstance. I'm definitely a fan of Jenifer Carpenter after this series.

I didn't think too much of this series at the start, because it takes some time to actually get started. I felt the series got better as time went on, though, the final 2 seasons were hard to get through. I found myself struggling to watch more than one episode at a time due to the fact that the story/additional characters, specific to that series, were...well... shit.

I'd definitely recommend this show to anyone looking for a thrilling, intense, and down to earth crime thriller!
