I'm relatively new to commissions and I'm always finding myself knee-high in frustration because I don't draw enough or my references are scattered.

I used to reference information through FA notes, but the outage erased several pages of notes that I needed. I started copying the commission info & ref links and putting them into a word document. It has made things SO MUCH EASIER and I'm upset at myself for not thinking about doing it that way already!

I'd just like to know any other secrets and tricks to keeping yourself organized, and I would also appreciate advice on keeping myself motivated to draw.

Hey guys! Here's my full California trip overview (if ya care) xD

Well I left Wednesday to LAX from Charlotte. Arrived around noon and spent the afternoon on the Santa Monica Pier. After that, Me and my boo,  asher_tail met up with  redwhiskey for some REALLY GOOD ramen!! :D I also had my first dose of LA traffic -.- It took us an hour to travel 5.4 miles. x.x NEVER AGAIN.

Thursday, Me and Ashy drove to San Jose with  Amorithas and  Sulo-Flow which was a very interesting drive xD

The following days at FC are full of alcohol, hangovers, sex, drama, and walking.

On Monday, we drove back to OC. I spent the rest of my time with my boo, and I also got to meet his art buddies!

All in all... I had a decent trip. :3

I thought I'd be getting art done quicker that I am. I get easily overwhelmed and when that happens, I shut down. It's hard to find motivation with all that's been going on. I am hopeful, however. There's a lot of positive things ahead of me and I hope once I'm my old self again, I'll be more productive with my art.

Well... I knew it was coming, but it was here sooner than I anticipated. Now commissions are the only thing I have to rely on for income.

First off, Nova will probably be okay. Thanks to the fucking downtime, I wasn't able to give you guys updates on his health. He is walking on his leg now, thanks to the heavy medication he's on. She said he was in a lot of pain, so seeing him getting better and moving his left leg brings a smile to my face. I'm glad I raised as much as I did, because the bill was about $200. I thank you guys for commissioning me in my time of need.

Downtime will happen again, so when the day comes, just email me like an old person do. My email will be on my page.

The end of the semester is approaching, and that means exams and papers! yay! So I will be focusing on school until classes are out. I have a test and 3 papers to complete over the thanksgiving break, plus a test to take the day I get back, so yea... lol

Hear me out. I only make about 100 bucks every paycheck.

I don't draw as fast as I used to because I really see no need to put out art. There was a period where I spat out a piece every two days.. and I miss being that productive. I figure if I'd NEED to draw, I'd be throwing a few a week, no doubt.

Here's my expense per month:
Insurance - $50
Dog: - $30-50
Gas - $30+

I feel like I'd be able to make that in commissions.

Anyway, it's just a thought. If I were to leave, it's be after Christmas.

If I have to sketch something out to remain sane, Then I think I'm permitted to.
But this is why I hate commissions. I feel like, even if they're not, commissioners just want their image asap.
