Been wanting to get something for a while, and I don't know who exactly does those kinds of commissions so wondering if anyone who sees this might happen to know someone~

Paid for, and traded for, a commission back in December 2023.
Got the bigger part of my commission a few months later (Earlier this year in March on the 12th).
Then after a poke in June, I was told it would be finished by the end of June.
Didn't happen.
Poked them again in August.
No reply.
Poked them again on another site in August, was told messaging them there would be better.
Told them I'd be busy for a few days that month if they needed anything for the commission.
No reply.
Saw in October they were posting about doing YCHs again.
Messaged them to ask if my comm would be done after the YCHs.
Was told they forgot about my commission/fell through the cracks because I traded games for the majority of it, as well as $80 USD and it wasn't written down the same way their other comms were.
They said they'd get me a WIP within the week.
They went on Vacation.
Added them on Telegram on November 5th, which I hate using, and I still don't know if/when I'm going to get the full body + background + shaded commission.
Last message I sent them on the 11th was 'Let me know if I need to resent the information for the image btw'
I see them online a lot, but my message hasn't been confirmed as read.

I hate bothering an artist a lot, or really at all, when asking about my commission stuff, but I think being told 'my commission fell through the cracks cause it wasn't paid for it was traded for'

Sure, I was getting a bit of a discount with the offer I got from them ($50 off the total price, after considering the value of the games I sent them at the time), and I have commissioned them in the past, but being told in June that mine would be done by the end of the month (Which was my birth month and made me feel like fucking shit), I'm at the end of my line here.

I'm legit fucking furious that I keep getting forgotten about at this point. It takes days/weeks to get a reply at all at times.

Yes, I know people have their own lives and blah blah blah. But it's been 11 months now. This has been increasingly stressing me out the longer it goes on and I don't know if I'll ever get my fucking commission at this point.

Hell, I'd even be willing to take the $80 back so I have SOMETHING back for this if it was offered, but I don't want to take money out of an artist's pocket, more so because the holidays are right around the corner.

Had a hernia for a long time now due to helping push a car out of a 3 way intersection some years back

It's been fine and all until I had covid earlier this year and it would occasionally hurt, but it came more and more constant, so got it handled so it wouldn't get worse

But it's a month of recovery time basically, and currently can't breath deep, sneeze, cough, bend any bit without a lot of pain right now

They went in three spots on the right side of my abdomen and put in a 'mesh patch' for the hernia so it won't happen again. So after I finish recovering I'll be getting back to my proper 4 mile walks daily, and back to using the weights I have. Put on a lot of depression weight this year from everything going on.

I'm a HUGE fan of both D&D and Folk Horror, and I've been following Legends of Avantris for only a small while, but I've been loving their stuff

So this is something that happened about 23 years ago in the spring, and is actually what got me into the Occult and other stuff of the sort



Back when I was about 10 or so, my mom used to be the Bartender at a pizza place near by that had a bar. She always wore an Elephant pin, since she loves elephants

She had a few regulars that knew her by name, one of which came in like 3-4 times a week after work for a drink

That same regular eventually started looking a bit down on his luck, and kept telling my mom things at work weren't going so well

One day he brings in this wooden stand that had a hand carved elephant on it, and offers it to my mom as a gift, since everyone basically knew she loved elephants

She gets really happy and brings it home. Places it on the shelf above the fireplace in the living room

Within a couple weeks both mom and dad start having bad luck at their respective jobs. Mom being blamed for money in the register going missing, dad having some issues with blueprints he was looking over at his job

Both of them kept what they could from me, did notice something was off, but not knowledgeable enough to act on it, cause kid

One day I'm looking at the elephant box, and notice there was a hairline gap around the base all around. Turns out it was a box that didn't have a hinge, just a firm seal with small wooden dowels, so I was able to open it after a few seconds of jamming my thumbnail in the gap

Inside? a REALLY ornate set of Tarot cards in a hand carved mini box. Like they looked old and hand made by someone who knew what they were doing. I spend some time looking them over, really liking the odd art on them. Don't tell mom/dad

A few more weeks pass, and I'm coming home from my friend's house. At our house was a priest doing a cleansing ritual while burning the box and tarot cards

Ask what was going on. They tell me the object was cursed and that that regular had passed his curse to us

Asked if it had to do with the cards inside

They look at me with that 'look' parents give children when they do something wrong, and tell me Tarot cards are items of the devil and to never touch them again, and tell them next time



It confused me for a few years until I started looking things up, and it's how I got into looking up stuff that's considered Occult or Taboo with this kind of stuff. It's pretty interesting stuff in general, and a lot of it is heavily demonized by people because it 'goes against their religion' or whatever.

Personally people should look into this stuff, just to understand things better without all the fear/hatred of the unknown.

This is in response to a raffle I won on twitter almost 1 year ago on September 26th 2022. I got the first prize of four prizes. I contacted the artist and told him the character I wanted drawn and the picture idea. It was a raffle for them having reached 250 followers.

The artist replied with 'Got it, I'll be working on a sketch when I can'

A couple days after christmas (Dec 27th) I wished them a good holiday, and they replied the same.

On Jan 19th I asked about the raffle. I was told 'Yeah it still is, I just haven’t had the time to work on big projects. If you’d like, I can give a free lineless headshot as a substitute'

Didn't realize I didn't hit enter to my reply, so I replied on Feb 10th when I realized that. I told them sorry about the late reply, and I didn't mind the wait, I was just curious.

They replied 'No worries, it happens. But yeah just let me know what you think'

Around then twitter was having issued with sending messages between users. But I told them again I don't mind waiting for the raffle on Feb 20th.

On Feb 22nd, they messaged me for the first time. It was to ask me to sign up on Temu using their referral code. I don't trust Temu/Ali Express/Wish so I told him those sites freak me out/set me off because I don't trust them.

On May 21st I messaged them again telling them to be careful with Temu, since their parent company seemed to be getting into some trouble with their apps.

In June on the 12th I told them about the message changes happening soon on twitter, and they needed to follow back anyone they're in contact with or messages can't be sent.

On July 21st I asked again about the raffle, since it had been about 10 months since the raffle happened.

I was told 'I was going to postpone it since I’ve been busy but since things have been calm, I’ll get to get in a few weeks. Or after commissions'

I told them they should update everyone that won something in the raffle (Myself and 3 others)

They replied 'I didn't even know it was all the way back in September. Thanks for reminding me'

(During this gap they had finished commissions and trades they were working on)

On September 10th I messaged them again, asking to take them up on their 'I can give a free lineless headshot as a substitute' offer, since it's been almost a full year since the raffle.

They said 'Ye it is' and nothing else

I told them I'd like to go with that. They haven't said anything else. They have also opened up for commissions, and apparently filled their slots. Their bio on twitter now says 'Comms closed/Trades open'

Flat out contradicting what they had told me on July 21st about them working on it 'in a few weeks or after commissions'.



I honestly feel like the raffle was just a ploy to get more followers, as he doesn't seem to care enough to actually follow through on the raffle. I'd actually appreciate it more if I was just told 'Sorry, but I'm canceling the raffle'. I'd block him at that point, and tell friends about it, but at least it would be done at that point.


Do you guys feel the same about this? (About feeling like they used the raffle to boost how many followed they had? They went from barely 250 to 469 followers now)

I'm a very patient person. I've been lucky enough to win multiple raffles over the years. Many people I win raffles from I usually commission a few times afterwords because I appreciate their work a lot, or at the very least boost their signal in groups I'm in to get them more attention.

I just want people to be up front with me and not drag me around with vague answers of 'eventually'.

I have almost constant hallucinations.

I hear, feel, smell, and taste things that aren't there.

If I'm watching cooking videos, those tend to be my favourite because it's kind of like having smell-o-vision. Same for being able to taste things.

Things I hear involve leaves and bottles in the wind when I'm doing things. Music 24/7 when I am not being mentally stimulated enough. Same in tasting and smelling things that aren't there.

Things I feel tend to be things crawling over me, sometimes it feels like someone is grabbing part of my body. Even if I'm staring at that part of my body, I feel it still.



But now in why I HATE. And I mean fucking HATE seeing certain fetishes. I can fucking smell images, I can hear them.

When people post the worst shit, and I mean literal shit, I honestly hate everything about it. The fact that people are posting stuff where there's no rules to blurr/cover up the revolting images.

The front page is where you can see the most recent images, but because of the fucking dumb rules on site, Dragoneer, people are constantly forced to randomly see some of the grossest stuff while the plans of the site are vague at best.

99% of the fandom most likely don't wanna go to the front page and see someone shitting all over someone else, having a hyper inflated diaper filled with piss and shit, and other shit like that.



Oh and there's pretty much no plans in adding a proper tagging system where you can block artists' posts and just people in general. They've said it's on their 'planned features', but it's not even being worked on from what the public currently knows.

Wish there was some rule about forcing the extreme content to HAVE to use a thumbnail with a content warning in what the picture(s) is/are about. But hey, with how rules get enforced and changed, nothing is gonna happen about it because FA is the biggest art site for furries and hasn't really changed in forever.


TL;DR - I fucking hate every single god damn gross picture that people post that's revolting fetish shit and I'd love if there were rules so people didn't have to actually see said gross stuff.

We were gifted the plague on my birthday and father's day.

She woke up about an hour after I did this morning, very sick.

She's immunocompromised (Battled leukemia for 16+ years), and has bad asthma.

We're keeping a close eye on her, and myself and my dad have tested negative for having it, and we're taking all precautions, including having an emergency bag for mom if we need to take her to the hospital.

We think she got it from this past weekend when they went to New York for a funeral service for my grandmother who passed back in April, and on the same day as the funeral, we lost another member of the family due to sickness.

I'll punch whoever I have to to make them fuck off in why June is such a terrible month here.

My sanity is still going down, and I'm not in a horror game
