Writing Hiatus
Posted 7 years agoI think I need to take a long break from writing and focus on other things for a bit. I've been too stressed out because of it and I'm pretty sure my mental health is deteriorating, so I'm gonna try something new for a while. Apologies to any waiting commissioners, but I'll be back at some point early-to-mid next year I think.
Everything is on hold, for now (OR) Don't ever use Newegg.
Posted 7 years agoFor anybody wondering where my writing progress has been, everything has been stopped for the past month or so due to a fried RAM card that has left my computer at minimum functionality, given that all of the remaining RAM is used to support the Operating System. I've been trying to get a custom replacement PC, but Newegg dropped the ball by delivering a faulty motherboard that destroyed the CPU. They replaced the motherboard but refused to send a CPU replacement, despite the damage being their fault, meaning that a brand new one had to be bought. So now I'm just waiting for the new CPU.
Big thanks to one of my friends for fronting the new CPU. I hope to have this new system running very soon.

(1) I reserve the right to cancel any commission, at any time, for any reason.
(2) Payment will not be requested nor permitted before the commission has been completed. Payment will only be required once the commission is ready to be delivered to the commissioner.
(3) Before requesting a commission, please have a clear goal in mind. Have characters, settings and a scenario ready for me and I will be able to get things done more quickly. I am a perfectionist when it comes to making characters do what they need to do in writing, so the more vague the setting, the longer it will take for me to get things done. Make it too vague or leave me nothing to work with and it will result in a cancellation.
(4) Upon successfully receiving payment, all rights and responsibilities to the finished work are immediately transferred to the commissioner. The commissioner will have full rights to the work, including usage, entitlements and distribution abilities. The original author will not have any final say in the handling or distribution of the work, but may make suggestions as desired. Publicly posting the work will be the commissioners responsibility, unless the author is requested by the commissioner to do so. Credit to the original author is preferrable, but not required.
(5) You may ask for updates at any time, and I will show my work up until the point where I deem the project has been half-way finished. Progress after that point will not be shown.
(6) I will not disclose the status or contents of a commission to anyone other than the commissioner, unless given express permission to do so by the commissioner. If asked to do so by anyone other than the commissioner, expect no response other than "I plead the fifth."
COST:
$0.015 per word, rounded down to the nearest thousand words.
Example, a work with 6,682 words at completion will cost $90.

Posted 9 years agoThe reason I am on Patreon: I am homeless, ACTIVELY homeless and living in a car, going to soup kitchens and using the local library for internet and power. I need the money from any sources I can get in order to put it toward a place to live. I need a place to live in order to be able to provide more immediately free content and continue projects such as the Interactive Watersports Story. Not to hold my own creation hostage or anything, I simply don't have time to give to it as is.
My Patreon policy: ALL Patreon submissions will be released publicly after being on Patreon for a month. Between the time of submission and public release, Patrons may repost any of my non-public submissions elsewhere, provided that they are legitimate Patrons and provide proper credit. Where have I been for the past couple of months? In my mom's car which is filled every night with three sleeping homeless people. So all of my efforts have gone from the Interactive Watersports Story onto story projects that I can sell, by putting into a Patreon, because I have no other workable skills that can get me any type of income.
And for any of you uppity types (I know you're out there, I've dealt with your kind before.) who want to say that I CAN'T be homeless because I'm using the internet, I'd like to remind you that there is a little something out there called a Library. Try visiting one.
With all of the preemptive passive-aggression out of the way, I understand better than most that not everybody has spare money to toss around. So, here's what you get for a dollar a month.
You get full access to ALL of my stories and writing projects, including unfinished or abandoned projects that never made it to FurAffinity or Inkbunny. (This *may* include cub content.) This will also include my Novel projects, "The Hybrid Genome" and another yet-to-be-named. Some stories will also come with specialized artwork created by :iconSaberJackal; and used with full permission, used to conceptualize and visualize segments of the stories they are made for.

Considering a reboot of my interactive story...
Posted 10 years agoIt won't be done through Wetfun this time, however. To anybody who doesn't know, I used to do an interactive watersports story through the 
Wetfun group journal system. Furaffinity journals do not have a view counter, so after awhile I got bored of doing the work for the story when votes stopped coming in. Because votes were the only way I could have any idea of how popular the story was. So when the votes came down to about four per entry, I lost interest in doing it because I was forced to assume people lost interest in reading. So now I've decided that if I do it again, I'm doing it through normal submissions. Only real problem with that is that I need something to submit. So, if anybody is reading this, I'd like some input on what to do. I have a few concepts for the "character creation" initial submission as well as how to handle future segments.

Should I even go through with this reboot at all?

Why does this keep happening?
Posted 10 years agoEvery time I write a journal about something being broken, it fixes itself practically immediately! Broken laptop? Ask for donations, magically fixed in two days. Wifi not working for a whole week? Bitch about it and it's up in 24 hours!

Posted 10 years agoSorry that I haven't been online in about a week, the wifi out where I'm staying is basically destroyed. Dunno what happened to it, can't do anything about it except hope that it gets fixed eventually. Right now I'm in the library, I would have gotten here sooner but one of the hinges on my laptop is wrecked and closing it causes further damage. Worried that if I come to the library too often, it may crack open the screen. If that happens, obviously no more computer. So until that wifi is fixed, I'm pretty damn stuck. :(

Posted 10 years agoYeah... I fully support and endorse the riots. It's about freaking time people started fighting back against the police. And anybody who wants to say that we shouldn't fight aggression with more aggression or some shit like that, tell it to the cops.
And anybody who thinks we're overreacting to just a small handful of bad cops, pull your head out of your ass. This fuckery has been going on since law enforcement was instated in the USA, and what happened in the Officer Slager videos is more than enough to incriminate EVERY POLICE OFFICER IN THE COUNTRY just because of how "standard procedure" it seemed to be.
Yes, I am mad about this to the point of being at least half-unreasonable. But this is how I see it.

Concerning my last journal... (Not urgent)

Yeah... Trust me, it's just as confusing for me as it is for you, assuming you read this. Just to again confirm that the laptop was totally dead and disabled, I hit the power button on a whim. Almost freaked out when the HDD light stayed on slightly longer than usual, just to be disappointed when it went blank. Then completely freaked out when the light came on a second time and the backlight switched on. Holy shit it worked. Company logo came up on screen a second later. AND NOW THERES NO HINT AT ALL THAT IT EVER FAILED! No slowdown, no errors with any programs, no BSOD, nothing fucking wrong at all.
So basically, the two people that offered any money for a fix, I'm gonna ask the guy handling it to return that money immediately. Sorry for the scare, etc. etc.

Busted hard drive... (Severely Urgent, please don't skip..)
Posted 10 years agoSo something happened to my laptop. And I have no idea what. For some reason, nothing happens on the screen. The battery charges fine. The hard drive status light flickers once. The optical light on the mouse flickers at the same time as the HDD light. It isn't a screen problem, because the mouse light would be solid otherwise. I've tried all the battery tricks. The drive isn't spinning. The fans are working, so power supply is perfect. But every time I hit the power button, no backlight and no *insert company logo here* boot up screen. And no ability to access BIOS.
I don't know what's going on, it was running perfectly smooth this morning and only turned it off for an hour and a half before this started. I don't know what to do about it, as replacing or fixing it will cost more than I have or can earn (being homeless tends to make getting any income kinda impossible, especially when you already have next to nothing. The computer is all I had, my novel progress is now trapped on it...)
I don't know if the comp is gonna pull some kind of miracle in a couple of days or what, like my possessions sometimes do, but I could really use any help possible. Looking for volunteer characters
Posted 11 years agoWorking on a reboot of an old project, and want some volunteer characters to play the roles of some club "workers" (Basically strippers, but a bit more glorified and having more control over their customers)
Hopefully you all understand the kind of stories I do: If you submit a character for my use in this story, they should not have any aversion to watersports. Please provide a name and a reference sheet if possible, and a short description of their personalities so that I can have a better chance of integrating them into the story.

Hopefully you all understand the kind of stories I do: If you submit a character for my use in this story, they should not have any aversion to watersports. Please provide a name and a reference sheet if possible, and a short description of their personalities so that I can have a better chance of integrating them into the story.

On colors (no need to read this!)
Posted 11 years agoSo I had a sudden realization about colors, so I went here: http://www.color-ize.com/color-list.php#I
And I saw that there are almost real colors that start with the letter I.
I don't count Ivory, because that's not a real color, it's Elephant tusk. Just like with Jade- not a color, thats a gem.
Why is this important? Because no colors start with the same homonym letter as that what allows us to SEE THEM! I just find that hilariously sad!
I suppose Indigo is a real color, it is it's own name for a color, but nobody can even figure out weather it's a blue or a purple! May as well not have any eyes to begin with!
(And yes, I was serious about the header, there was literally no point to this journal)

Posted 11 years agoYes, I do plan on continuing the interactive story for wetfun very soon. I've been going through a very temperamental transitional period in my life, which only started with the recent car trouble- which has also been very temperamental- and as soon as this little period is over (herp a durr hurr, no jokes please) I'll be able to stop stressing out to the extreme and get back on track with writing. The reason I say this is because I fully expect to finally be off the streets and in a decent apartment once things settle down. In the meantime, however, I HAVE been tinkering with a little fanfiction that I intend to finish up and post in a few more days, so look forward to that I suppose ^^

Crisis averted for the moment
Posted 11 years agoDon't ask me why, don't ask me how, all I know is that the car started. We didn't do anything to it other than put in more gas and it still took over 8 hours later, but it started. There's still something clearly wrong with the engine, but it started. So me and my mother are not going to die this week, assuming the car still runs.

Posted 11 years agoCar is broken again. We got about 5 dollars worth of gas, from a gas station that apparently loads their pumps with water. And when the engine died, it got stuck in the wrong transmission. And that somehow blew a fuse when we kept trying to get it to turn over while it was locked in the wrong transmission. So now, since the fuse is blown (we think it's the fuse because the windows won't close no matter what) the engine isn't getting power properly and just won't turn over even after we replaced the gas thanks to the help of some friends. Now the car is in a place where it just shouldn't be, and could possibly get towed.
... I... *sigh*

Yes, I know that I keep disappearing for months at a time.
Yes, I know it's been a third of a year since the last time I've been able to write at all.
But I'm still going to write, because thats what I do best when I have the means and the time.
Expect an update for Wetfun's interactive story in the next few days, and hopefully I'll be able to get more out WAAAAY more often.
