So, finally another update.
Posted 12 years agoI am, once again, terribly sorry for all the absences and delays. But forced joblessness, intensely bad weather, and another wisdom tooth infection have SERIOUSLY taken their toll on my ability to do... well, anything.
Today I went to the hospital for any help they could give on a SECOND tooth infection, and amazingly, they have actually done something to help out. I'm now on a prescription of antibiotics and what is essentially vicodin. I'm hoping to have some improvement in a few days. Meanwhile, an intense arctic blast brought temperatures down to -50 and even further below (with windchill) and it's just impossible to survive without following some strict rules from our current shelter, so theres just no time to do any honest work- either in real life or with my stories- so...
Theres really nothing I can do until either things warm up again outside or my tooth heals up again or, just SOMETHING.

Posted 12 years agoGot our first paychecks from the warehouse work a few days ago, and as such we were able to afford a hotel room on a weekly rate. Next week we'll be able to afford a laptop, and updates to my interactive story can be expected around that time ^^

Posted 12 years agoFinally started on my new job yesterday, it's extremely difficult, but hopefully Ill get better at it soon. Unfortunately it has some very strange hours, from 3:30pm to midnight, so I won't be able to communicate at any time between then. First paycheck is in three weeks, after which money will no longer be an issue. Also finally got foodstamps, so donations should no longer be necessary.

Two nights ago, me and mom got kicked out of the homeless shelter, on the grounds that they have no room and cannot accept people from out of area. Their criteria for "out of area" is that if you have not had an address for 90+ days, you get the boot. Well guess what? In three weeks, we both gained THREE jobs, a college entry, a mailing address, and a currently unknown amount of mail delivered through that address! I don't know how THEIR fucking dumbass brains work, but I say it counts! But NOOOO, they continue to insist that we abandon everything that we've nearly died of starvation getting and go to another shelter in another county that gives no guarantee won't refuse us either!!

And the truly absurd part? The part that just makes me want to give up on humanity and life? They aren't even full. Every night I was there (four nights total,) there would be at least four or five empty beds. Every night a bed was empty, and every meal would have leftovers enough to fill a trash bag.
THIS IS NOT WHAT A HOMELESS SHELTER IS SUPPOSED TO DO!! HOMELESS SHELTERS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO INDISCRIMINATELY REFUSE THE HOMELESS!! ESPECIALLY IF THEY DONATED 3% OF EVERY PAYCHECK TO YOUR SPONSOR!!!! You read that right, my mother payed out of her very generous paychecks back when I was a child, and they still refused her, now that she NEEDS their help.

We both go into orientation for another job on monday, but we won't benefit from it for at least three weeks, but after that we are in the clear. Posted 12 years agoSo, a couple days ago vulpines0ul offered to make a journal asking for assistance for me, which I am extremely grateful for, while I sent 
wetfun a request to make a journal linking to vulpine's. Guess they didn't like that, but anyway, heres why I've been pretty silent since then.
I FINALLY gained access to a homeless shelter here, after three goddamn weeks of bullshitting with them and the department of human services, responsible for food stamps, assisted housing, etc (They STILL have yet to deliver on the promise of food stamps!) But thankfully, the homeless shelter actually provides meals (!) and with that, me and mom can stay fed. However, this does not immediately reduce our need for support from anyone willing to help, as we still need to use the car a lot (mostly for mom to get to her current job and for me to continue applying/interviewing) and fuel is still a major concern. Plus, we are not yet sure if the homeless shelter is something that can last.
So, if anyone is willing to listen to my desperate, annoying and making-me-hate-myself-by-begging-for-help plea, at least be aware that I don't have a paypal account, but you can send it to vulpines0ul who will relay it to me (I trust him with my life, and that trust is being put to the test every time he sends something, he is confirmed helpful :P)

I had an idea just a moment ago about something that MIGHT work when it comes to getting a capitalist system in place after the current one has utterly destroyed the 99% and implodes when there is no more money left to steal from us. Keep in mind that I don't completely understand economics, as I'm just a normal guy with no college education.
It would work like this: A single person acts as the head of any given company that has outlets open in five or more states. Nobody can own more than 5% of shares, and the CEO cannot own less than 55% of the shares, ensuring that he holds control of the company. The company is, wait for it, EXEMPT from all laws concerning large corporations except for taxes and the rules in this list, however the CEO is responsible for reporting all of his activities concerning the company. When reported, the average citizen can log into a reception website at any time and give an opinion concerning any reported action. This gives full awareness on the part of citizens and corporations. If a CEO fails to report their activities, the corporation is legally declared bankrupt, the CEO's bank accounts are locked and seized, and all of their assets that value higher than $30,000 are deemed forfeit.
As for keeping a corporation from growing overwhelmingly large, they are forced to pay a national minimum wage of at least $15 dollars an hour as well as a quarterly tax of 20%. This keeps the working class afloat while keeping the companies from hyperinflating. CEO's still get to live QUITE comfortably without dooming everyone else to starvation and hypothermia, and it will still take decades for a company to gain a considerable lead. Sadly, not much can be done once that lead is gained, as the leaders will be able to buy changes to these laws. Can't stop human greed forever.

One wisdom tooth down, three to go... (Wetfun story hiatus)

I managed to tough out the complete decay of one wisdom tooth, now another one is getting impacted against my upper jaw, and I've had to take more pain killers than normal. Won't be long before things get seriously bad again, and for the sake of my sanity I'm putting the interactive story on wetfun on hold until things improve, which will likely take a few weeks.

... And with the police now likely on their way, happy late fourth of July everybody! I've been having a hell of a week, but a quick fix for my teeth should help out considerably. For my interactive story, expect quick updates from here on out as long as all goes well. For other stuff, expect something totally new by the end of next week, I hope.

Thats right, I woke up this... evening, with FAR less pain, disorientation and debilitation than I have for the past few days. That means either I'm dead and hallucinating everything as part of my afterlife or I'm quite alive. So... yeah! For once something goes right in my favor. Sucks that it happened at all, but whatever.

I can barely stay awake for eight hours, have to experiment with coffee and Bayer, and can hardly breathe.
It's some kind of tooth infection, and that is the kind of thing that doesn't go away on it's own. I HOPE to get to a clinic today, because I think that's really my only choice. Hope I'll be back to give good news later. If not, then, I guess not.

Wetfun water sports interactive story officially on hold
Posted 12 years agoSorry everybody, but I have to put the story on temporary (approx two weeks) hold, as my mom's laptop is busted and I cannot write lengthy, detailed story segments on an iPad. Sorry, but until a new computer can be obtained, I really can't do anything about this.

For anyone that was curious, my uncle made an idiotic judgment in stealing a neighbor's wireless internet signal. Then that neighbor suddenly became smart enough to put up a little security, rendering it impossible to steal the signal, so we couldn't connect. My uncle, being the massive cheapskate that he is, refused to do anything despite his pile of money earned by being an air traffic controller. So my mom chose to pay for a little wireless system, which is allowing me to reconnect now. So, yeah. It took awhile, but I'm back. Expect stuff :P

Why are we playing "Scapegoat" with North Korea? What does everybody want out of them? Why are we making them into the new Iraq?
The USA made claims of WMD's and terrorism to make Iraq and Afghanistan into enemies that couldn't even fight back. We invaded, took control of their oil supplies, used a scapegoat "face of terrorism" to keep the public from crying for amnesty and acted like we were the heros when we rebuilt everything that we bombed.
Now we're crying wolf again about nuclear tests, claiming WMD's and whatever else, just on a different country. I don't know the full story, but I do know that media sources absolutely LOVE to overinflate foreign "threat" stories so that people buy into the bullshit, making them too scared to step outside without an armed APC to protect them.
As far as I'm concerned, this is just making mountains out of molehills. Nuclear testing illegal? Too bad, we did it along with the Russians only decades ago, and I don't see any invasions happening against either superpower in the history books. We're just making excuses so that we can go in and attack and confiscate whatever resources they have that we want.
(Sorry, I just keep hearing about this everywhere lately and I wanted to get out my little soapbox, despite how few people will see this.)

Posted 13 years agoEight days from the "end of the world" and I have a good enough chance to write a journal.
I'm still planning on moving to Florida, but my sister is waiting on her student loans so she can pay for our tickets. Hopefully that will come soon. Mission life sucks royal rhino balls. I can hardly write right at the moment, which also sucks because I'm on hiatus for writing an interactive story for wetfun and I can't get the time or the mental energy necessary to continue it.
When I do get the mental energy I use it on writing my books. One of which is 39 chapters complete out of 60. Once thats done, I plan on publishing it ASAP.
I'm also annoyed at the fact that I can rarely ever talk to my friends. Believe me, I miss all of them more than they miss me! I probably missed a couple of birthdays at this point... Sorry for not being around, guys.
Again, hopefully I will be around more often very soon, after I get to Florida. It should be soon now, as in probably before the end of the month.
