Joking aside, Craig Mack is an awesome emcee, you might remember him for his song "Flava in ya ear" and as one of the first artists in Puff Daddy's Bad Boy label. He was overshadowed by the success of Biggie Smalls. I think Puffy missed out by not having him on the label, maybe Puff Daddy was trying to change his style or music direction and Craig Mack wasn't having it. Either way, I've been listening to his second album "Operation: Get Down" and I am LOVING IT! I can't stop listening to "Sit Back & Relax"



The beats are smooth, Craig Mack's rhyme delivery is unique, and I like the singing in the songs. It's not the same raw funky hip hop that everybody expected from his first album but it's still knocks IMO.

I'm getting a lot of tracks done for my album, they all have the early to mid 90's sound that you hear from A Tribe Called Quest, so when I was thinking about possible album covers for this album, I immediately thought about A Tribe Quest's "Midnight Marauders" album cover that featured the faces of a lot of people involved in the Hip Hop community, check it out:
