FWA + Monthly Art pack and update

Just wanna thank everyone for the recent birthday wishes and gifts, they are never expected but are much appreciated :)
This year has been busier than usual and its been difficult keeping up with all the incoming messages at times. I will make another update about that later, but if I have not replied, please try again and I will asap. I appreciate your patience :)
I will be attending FWA this coming weekend, I do not work this con so it will be the best one to say hi at. I hope everyone going has a safe and enjoyable con.
Since FA is still in read only mode as of this journal, you can find my monthly art pack ( for April 2025) at https://tinyurl.com/389k6mbw , please enjoy :) (I am almost 2 years behind individual uploads here on fa, so in the mean time art packs are the best way to view my recent works, and they are FREE)
I have almost finished my recent YCH entries from Januaray and commission list from march, there were a handful of people who I was not able to get into contact with for whatever reason, if you signed up and haven't heard from me and are still interested feel free to contact me :)
There are 2 new ych in the works, one of which will be opening up later this month.
There have been a lot of bots spamming social media, discord, and FA, some are pretending to be furry artists and clients. Please be aware, and know that the only places you can find me is right here on fa and Blue sky as BadgerBen, and twitter as BadgerBenArt. (I have a pixiv, furry network, and itaku and pillowfort as well but am less active on those).
Further more, it's NEVER a good idea to click on a link someone gives you right away, always make sure you ask follow up questions no matter the platform and careful of anyone who tries to add you out of the blue.
This year I've seen some sneaky bots who have gotten a hold of people's accounts (here on fa, twitter, discord and other places). please be be careful and aware.

General Commission Update

I have a few updates regarding commissions.
The list of people who have signed up back in May of 2020 is still being worked through but I have yet to finish.
The list is MUCH smaller than it once was but I’ve been a bit slow to move on it.
I know it’s been a while since signing up and their commission ideas may have changed.
I‘m taking a much needed vacation to Midwest FurFest in two weeks.
After I return, anyone on the list will be able to schedule a time to work together and tell me if their idea has changed or not.
I also want to do a few convention badges before my trip and will be announcing them later today.
I really appreciate your patience and will get to your work asap.
But there are a few other issues I would like to address as far as commissions go.
Over time the demand for my work has increased, but despite my best efforts I haven’t been able to meet it.
In the past I tried to do everything I could to speed up my work without quality loss.
It helped for a while, but as the demand grew I was back to square one.
A lot of commissioners informed me they would like to work together more often, at least more than once or twice a year (which isn’t unreasonable.)
Earlier this year I decided to do some “Your Character Here” commissions in hopes of breaking up the commission grind with a few easier to complete pictures while helping meet demand.
What I did not expect was a YCH demand so high that I was instantly in no way able to meet it.
The response from everyone has been nothing short of amazing, and I am super grateful for all the support as I would not be able to do art for a living without it.
There are some things I’m looking into which may help with demand, but given how much inflation has been out of control these past few years I have been earning less despite working more and more.
So much so that 2021 and 2022 have been the most I ever worked with some of the least amount of free time I’ve ever had.
I don’t enjoy overworking myself to this degree and I miss hanging out with everyone as often as I once did.
I’m doing my best but sometimes it feels like art is at least 3 different full time jobs at once.
I have tried to do everything possible to deal with the demand outside of raising prices, but it has gotten to the point where I have to do so in order to meet the new minimum to survive without working myself to death.
Everyone on the current commission list will still receive the same price they signed up for back in 2020, but I’ll soon publicly post my new rates for all commissions. (They have actually been in effect for a little while, but since I am not yet open I did not bother to post. But enough people have been asking that I feel I should let people know publicly.)
Doing art for a living has meant the world to me and I look forward to working with anyone wanting to work together.

Big Boob YCH announcement!

Back again with another Big boob YCH update!
I’m close to finishing about 25% of the current entries and will be closing sign ups some time this weekend.
Please keep in mind that payment isn’t due until you are selected and I am closer to working with you. I am hoping to finish as many entries as I can by the end of september.
I will be sending out another batch of invoices later this week and will be streaming as much as I can this month.

Big Boob YCH Announcement!

Just wanted to update you guys on the Big Boob YCH I started back in February along with my plans for a new one! =D
The Big Boob YCH was much more popular than I anticipated.
I received way more entries than I could finish and sadly wasn't able to work with everyone. :(
Each picture ended up with a simple shading despite only a flat color being advertised.
This took much more time and effort than I originally planned but felt it really made each picture pop, I’ll have to stick to flat colors for the new one.
The YCH was done to have some big boob related fun alongside my current commission list. I wanted to give people a chance to work with me on something quick and simple without waiting forever to enter my normal queue.
I still receive messages from people wanting in on that YCH, so I will be giving people another chance to nab a slot and if they didn’t get one the first time around (or if they really really want seconds!)
There will be a new YCH people can sign up for too!
While my current commission queue will still be my main focus in the months ahead I’ll be better prepared to handle the demand for the YCH this time around. I may also hire some friends to help me complete work if the demand remains really high.
I’ve been a bit slow to work these past months because I suffered a computer failure back in April and wasn't able to replace it.
Thankfully, I was able to piece together a machine with the help of a few friends.
It got me up and running again but I still need to earn some extra cash for some much needed upgrades to bring it up to a proper working spec.
I also had to take some time off in July due to covid, but I thankfully recovered from that.
I look forward to streaming more often, finishing my commission list, and running the YCH’s with a 3rd YCH planned for later this year.
