It gets annoying seeing people lied to and swindled for their money by pathetic liars. I finally got a job offer at a family owned bakery closer to where I live. It's main focus is baking, as in the sweet side so no bread and all that boring shit. I will be a cake decorator in training, learning the more professional side of it all. This place will bring me so many great opportunities. They go to cake conventions and do contests state wide. I'm more than happy to leave walmart and finally start my career.

Put in an application today for cake decorator at an actual bakery. It's looking very likely, that I may get the position. I sent them about 36 examples of cakes/cupcakes I've made, as well as went to the location to submit a paper application. Also called the person in charge of hiring, I think, and they know that my email will be arriving tonight with my cake pictures. This will be a huge step forward in my life towards a real career and the start of an actual foreseeable future.

All is starting to come around, and I'm working hard this time for it. No skirting by and using excuses for my misfortune. I'll fix this shit and finally get a taste at being a real, successful adult.

But I'm fighting it strong! Officially paid part of first months rent today. Couldn't be happier. Having a really great fucking time with my new roommates and couldn't be any happier. Everyday I come home to a smiling face and fun times. My friends have been coming around, also their friends....I haven't had this in fucking knows how long.

Working on my cake portfolio hopefully this weekend and going to start applying at real bakeries, or atleast seeing what I need to do to get into one. Planning a big furry shindig sort of dinner for my birthday December 1st, the day after my birthday. Not too sure yet where I want to go, but I'm open for suggestions. I would love for everyone to come that can make it, it would mean the world to me!

Not sure how many responses I'll get on FA, but I figured I'd post something about it. If you do want to go, let me know and I'll give you info on where it ends up being. Thinking of somewhere in Minneapolis since that seems like a good halfway point for everyone that lives da far aways.

I'm pretty sure now that I've finally grown up a bit and gotten into the swing of things that is the furry fandom, I managed to probably have the best con experience possible.

Yes of course there was the drama, the annoyance with the hotel, dehydration, etc. But all in all, I had such a wonderful time. I met some amazingly wonderful people, and surprisingly most of them were local MN furs. Also learned a great deal about myself, and matured so much. Didn't sleep around or feel the need to validate myself with fucking any strangers, had fun without needing someone other than myself and my friends.

Picked up a few cute things, but either way....it was amazing. Seriously, I believe I finally got to experience what it's like to go to a furry convention. So much fun. Fuck I'm really depressed now I want to go back. Debating on making it to more cons besides MFF in the future, still unsure though with how little I make.

**But again this year I took a stab at commissioning a somewhat cheaper artist, mostly because I like giving the new artists/lesser known artists a chance! She had a really great portfolio, which had this super cool realistic looking circus of the dead look. I thought this would be a perfect second badge for me, one I finally commissioned myself. Got to her the first day right after the alley opened and everything, picked up the next day.....no where the fuck near what I wanted. Severely disappointed in pretty much the entire thing. The proportions were terrible, the coloring/line work was messy, and worst of all she came out looking like an overly tall body builder manly woman. No where on it could you get this circus of the dead burlesque feel that I specifically asked for, it was some weird neglige two piece and she put feather coming out that didn't match at all...so she looks like a bird thing. I gave her a lot of room for creativity, told her she could do whatever she wanted....and she didn't really take the chance to do that. Plus the lamination on it was thin and it sort of ripped a little when I wore it around.

I'm also really excited to start hanging out with these new local furs now that I'm back home in MN, really really excited. Now just going to sit here and wait for my birthday. DAMN IT.

So this weekend was amazing. Saw a lot of fur friends I haven't seen in awhile, and made some new ones! I can say that I'm actually really, really happy at the moment. With school starting soon, making new friends, a job I mostly like....my life is finally falling into place...mostly.

I even made a few friends who actually live somewhat close to me, so instead of driving for an hour I'll only be driving 30 minutes. WOOO!!!!!

Now the only thing I need to do is work on moving out, getting away from all this horrible negativity. I'm thankful for my last relationship. Only for the fact that the outcome of it's horrible...absolutely terrible fucking failure, has gotten me to start school and make new friends. Also, no more getting pushed around! I'm around a bunch of people that are great, amazing people.

God I sound super mushy and stuff, but seriously I feel happy. Like I can finally stop disappointing people!

1. How did you discover this fandom?
i didn't really discover it, it was shown to me. i suppose i happened upon it in middle school without knowing when i started my crazy InuYasha obsession.

2. Did you participate as soon as you could, or did you "lurk" for a while? If so, how long?
i lurked for awhile. started out with just things between my friend. then as i got older i started exploring more online, and went to a con when i was 19 at MFF 2009. then, not until recently actually over the past summer, i started going to local meets and hanging out with more local furs.

3. What was your first contact with another furry in person?
 k0mplex was the one to show me the fandom and tell me that all the weird anthro people i was drawing and porno i was writing was furry.

4. What is you level of involvement with the community? Do you draw, write, build costumes, participate in forums, etc.?
i draw a little, write a little, and make some tails and ears...but not much. i used to do a lot of online stuff but i mostly just talk with local furs now.

5. Did you like anthropomorphic animals before you found out about the fandom?
oh hell yes. ever since i could remember i loved talking animals and movies with anthropomorphic characters. especially werewolves. i always wanted to be one growing up haha.

6. Did you begin creative activity (drawing, painting, writing, music, etc.) or greatly increase your creative activity after finding the fandom?
not really. except for sewing, i started getting more into that making my own stuff.

7. Counting both online and offline interactions, do you spend more leisure time with furries, or with friends not involved in the fandom?
well, usually i hung ou with more non furs but more and more lately i seem to seclude myself with only furries.

So instead of trying to stick things out for the better, on my part atleast, I've decided to move back to the cities. Things aren't working out like I'd hoped, and I'm tired of being treated like dirt instead of a human being. It's time to move out and put this all behind me, I don't need the constant reminder of one of the worst decisions I've made in life so far.

Things are looking grim for living possibilities though, I'm running on pretty much no options here. So if anyone knows of any local MN furs looking for roommates near, or in the twin cities, shoot me a message. I'm getting a little desperate here.

Seriously debating on changing species. I love my wolf baka, but I feel like wolves are too common. I want something closer to me and more unique.

So I'm currently looking for a place to live, hopefully back around my hometown in Burnsville MN. I'm a little disappointed to leave a job I just started that I really liked with some amazing people, but it will be nice to be back in a familiar area with people that care about me.

Hopefully since I haven't officially started college yet I can switch campuses to the one in Burnsville. I'm sad to say I put faith in a relationship too soon and it smacked me in the face, but I'm not going to let it get me down. I still have some opportunities left, not time for giving up just yet!
