On top of that bills for storage, electricity during a heat wave, and making a payment to a credit card I had to use for us to move to the new apartment all equate to around 500 together. Okay guys ignore the thing at the top that says 'regulars only' for this, I'm making an exception because I really need to get some proper examples of what my high detail commissions look like. I only really have two examples right now that I think look good so I'm slashing prices. For 3 slots people can get a high detail commission for 1/3rd of the price, instead of the normal $150, you can get it for $100 which is even cheaper than my previous price for high details.

Hey so as you guys know we've been working on a move and honestly a lot has gone wrong, from the movers taking almost 3x as long as they initially estimated and costing a bit over 1k, to all the ubers we've had to take, and the movers didn't even move all our stuff so we need to hire a smaller truck to move the rest of our stuff by the end of tomorrow. There's a lot to clean at the old apartment, 6 years worth of living, and we're already extremely sore and exhausted from the move.

It's 1am as we're doing all the last minute packing since this entire process has been irritatingly pushed to the very last minute in every direction. But the 8th is when the movers will be here to take our stuff over to the new apartment. We're officially tenants now and we're adding a new room mate soon too once we can get her over here. We'll be doing announcements for raising funds for that as it's extremely important we get her out of there ASAP and living safely with us.

Internet should theoretically be easy to set up as I already told them about the switch, and I have a lot of places to change address info with so I'm going to be busy with that and unpacking. So I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to drawing. I really want to but obviously I've been very very occupied. And I really need a break after all this.

Me and roomie are planning to move in the next week or so, so I can't work on commissions until we're moved in and set up. I'll finally have my own bedroom, so I'm very excited about that! We'll also have much easier access to a way more affordable grocery store. Like, it costs half as much as the one we've been dealing with so that's a huge deal. It's also got better transit access so I can get to and from work infinitely easier and much later. Also getting another roomie added to the household but it might be a bit before they can move in with us.

First I want to assure current people on the queue this will NOT delay your commissions. I have sketched almost all the commissions on my queue and always sketch as much as I can on Sundays, and since the collab commissions I'm offering right now only require me to sketch on my end I can get to them really quickly and pass them over to my room mate who doesn't have a crazy queue like I do.

So... for the last 8 months, my mother has been experiencing a manic episode where she's had many delusions and put herself in harm's way with scammers and a man she just met and slept with. After all this time of the healthcare system failing to help her, she has died in an apartment fire. It was reported that she ran out to ask a neighbor for help, but ran back inside the burning apartment to get her bird that had died over a year ago.
I don't know what I'm going to do. I have never dealt with anything like this before, when my dad died it was my half brother who took care of everything and I barely know him. I am processing this by thinking of tattoo ideas to remember her by. I'm just so angry and upset and hurt.
I don't know yet what caused the fire or how exactly she died (like, smoke inhalation or other) I don't know how to contact her friends, I don't know how I'm going to afford anything because of the crisis I'm already in. I'll probably be updating my gofundme with this information.

Hi guys, you might or might not know I'm struggling with a really tough financial situation where I'm in the dreaded welfare trap, where I'm losing my healthcare because I'm making too much money suddenly, even though I made less this year than last. Making more money and getting the care I need for my many health needs isn't a feasible option because not even the best plans cover my most important medication, my antipsychotic, which very literally keeps me sane.
I've talked to my supervisors, case manager, agents, and all have come to the same conclusion. That I need to work less hours, and make less money to get the optimal healthcare I need. I'm going to have to work with my room mate to figure out how she can help pay rent more, hopefully with rental assistance, and we can look into affordable housing.
This means things with commissions going forward will be different until the threshold for medical insurance is lifted.

For the next couple of months, my room mate and I are going to make an effort to make enough money for a move, and once we're paying less for rent I will cut my work hours and offer commissions sparingly. However, my roomie and I are opening collab commissions where payment goes to my roomie instead of me, as a workaround. These collab commissions will be cheaper than normal commissions. Collab commissions will also be prioritized on my end since I'm only doing the quick and easy parts, so they won't have as long as a wait time as the rest of my queue.

Do note though that I am planning to raise my prices a little.

I've also taken feedback from the survey and plan to start offering sketch pages for a limited time where people can get a collage of character art sketched out for them. I'm also going to make more YCHs based on what people are most interested in. I might also offer some comic and ref sheet discounts, with the discounts being what makes up for the time it might take to finish them.

Once I figure out prices and get commission sheets together, I'll open commissions.

Hey guys, this month has been pretty rough for my roommate and me, and we're short on being able to pay some bills. We only have enough for rent right now, but we need to pay electricity and storage too plus a credit card payment, and I need money for food cuz I mostly only have rice and canned veggies right now.

Hey folks. So recently I was informed I'd be denied my health insurance, and I tried reapplying to only get denied again even though I made less this year than last year. Apparently some covid related stuff was lifted so a lot of people no longer qualify for healthcare I guess. I'm trying to solve this however I can, but one of the biggest issues is my insurance was paying my roomie as my personal care assistant which has been the only consistent income she's been able to keep.
My queue is far too massive to keep adding more slots on top of it and I want to get as much as I can done before opening up more commission slots, but my roomie has commissions open, plus a lot of available adoptables and Your Character Here commissions. A long time ago I advertised an old 15 page porn comic I sketched up as a YCH offer, because it contained a character belonging to an abusive ex but I put a lot of effort into it I wanted to repurpose it for someone else. I had an offer for it, but the person who made the offer disappeared and never paid for it.
The comic is technically unfinished, but I figured someone could choose how it would end.
It's a femdom comic with a nervous guy having masturbation troubles.
My conundrum is, I still want to sell it as a YCH, but I don't want to feature the old art of the original characters. But adjusting 15 pages to YCH-ify is a shit ton of work, and I don't want to do all that work if no one is going to be interested. It's been so hard to sell YCHs and commissions in general lately, to think anyone could afford a 15+ page comic feels like wishful thinking.
I could offer payment plans of course, and that might be more likely to sell, but finding anyone interested right now sounds like an impossible task.

I don't need to rush this or get it all done ASAP, I can do an occasional page re-sketch every here and there, but I still don't know if all that work is worth it.

Another idea is to break it down into self contained sections so it's not one huge comic I'm selling but a couple pages instead, but I'm not sure how well that would work out.
