Couple Updates
Posted 3 years agoI've actually been drawing this whole time, but twitter has been ever so slightly easier to upload and get big number from than FA. And then, well, uh,
...Anyway, I'll try to make an effort to upload here more.
Also, if you've been holding out for a commission all this time, that's, uh... Still not gonna happen for the foreseeable future (i.e. next few years). I don't have time for commissions anymore. It's also technically against my employment contract to make money outside of my job. I got a fancy tech job 'n stuff so I don't really need the money anyway.
That said I'm ostensibly open for TRADES... I just have high standards and low free time.

Notice: Commission prices have drastically increased
Posted 4 years agoIt's become abundantly clear recently that my time is a lot more precious than it used to be. Also, I think I've underestimated just how much of the commission process is communication with clients, which does have a legitimate time cost.
To this end, I'm increasing all my commission prices, effective immediately.
NEW PRICES (USD, per character):
Sketch: $25
Colored Sketch: $40
Speedpaint: $90
Full detail: $150
Stories: $5 per 100 words
(Commissions are open again, also)
If my art ends up not being worth the price at this point, then commissions just aren't worth my time. I'll just draw for myself until my skills catch up to my price point.

I have returned
Posted 6 years agoThese past couple of months have been interesting for me. My classes picked up in intensity, and some poor mental decisions led me to develop a rather toxic relationship with my art that I'm only now getting out of.
It's been quite the journey, and ultimately, I believe it;s a helpful one. It's not quite over yet, but already, I feel like I've learned a lot about how and why I draw, and what I can do to make it as enjoyable a process as it can be. These next few weeks especially will determine how well these lessons take hold. Now that school's out, I hope to complete a drawing nearly every day where I can help it. But I'm going to prioritize developing a healthy mindset about it over everything else.
Also, I'm over 650 followers now. I'm honored and delighted that so many of you enjoy my work! I hope to continue to impress. Thank you for your support!

Iron Artist and Sale End
Posted 8 years agoWell, after only nine days, it's come to my attention that I am not in a good place, mentally, to be drawing commissions day after day. This means that my sale is ending early and the rate that I will complete commissions will slow considerably while I recover. However, if you have queued for a commission prior to this journal's creation, your sale price is locked in and I will not charge you the full price. I apologize to everyone still waiting on their commission and thank you all for your patience with me.

How to Upload Story/Drawing Combos?
Posted 8 years agoIf I upload them as stories with the drawing as the thumbnail, it'll be really tiny even when you click on the story.
If I upload them as drawings with the story in the comments, it'll be harder for people browsing stories to find it.
If I upload the story with a thumbnail and then upload the entire image, I'll clutter up my gallery and your submissions feeds.
Which sounds the least awful? :P

Any Interest in a Tutorial Series?
Posted 8 years agoI mean, I'm not the best artist by any means. Compared to artists like
latex and
stormdragonblue, I've downright awful!
With that aside, I've still gotten requests here and there for drawing advice. Is there a general interest for that? I can go into detail about this or that technique; just ask in the comments! If there's enough interest, I'll get working on a tutorial soon...

Update on Story Commissions
Posted 8 years agoI will write literally anything that isn't against FA's upload policy if you pay me. It can be as dirty and awful as you want. My inhibitions for writing are really low and my greed is through the roof.
Writer's Block
Posted 8 years agoIt's annoying >_>
Thanks for the support!! ;w;
Posted 8 years agoGosh, what an amazing response! I thought that story was hot garbage but it warms my heart to know that so many of you guys enjoyed it!
And the VOTE, goodness me. Twelve replies! <3 And the winner is... Lighten Up! with six votes! Check back tonight (Hopefully...) to read the tale of a stuck-up Goodra who terrorizes the Balloon Area, only to learn one way or another how to "lighten up"! For those hoping for another story, don't worry! I haven't quite decided whether to do a re-poll or just queue them up afterwards, but I have every intent of writing them :3
And thanks again everyone!! I feel so loved ;~;

Inflation Story Vote! [CLOSED]
Posted 8 years agoWhich story would you like to see next? Tell me in the comments. And if you can be bothered, please rank them all based on interest:
Lighten Up!: Another story in my critically acclaimed* Pokepark-themed inflation stories! This one... hmm, I think it'll feature a stuck-up Pokemon (Goodra? Zorua? Ninetales? Vote on this too!) who vists the park and learns to relax, one way or another!
*not actually critically acclaimed
A Furry Family Inflation 2: A sequel to the story I "half-wrote" to get a feel for inflation writing. In the sequel, a tiger mother and her daughter who have bonded over inflating together end up experiencing friction now that the daughter's a teen and got herself a boyfriend. Don't worry, inflation will still abound!
The Balloon Maids [prologue]: The first chapter in a romance serial novel I've been thinking about. Summer the vixen applies to join the harem of a rich deer with "special interests". She ends up in a harem with two other girls, where their number one responsibility is to train their bellies to inflate as big and sexy as they can, for their nights with Master!
To Be a Beach Ball: An unsuspecting Lopunny is ambushed by a Floatzel with a pump in need of a pooltoy! Did I mention the Floatzel has a little brother who really shouldn't be around fragile toys?
And if you have your own suggestions, I'll hear them out! No promises, okay? And please at least vote for your favorite out of my options too <:3

Re: Roleplay Commissions
Posted 8 years agoSeriously guys? Settle your liquids; this isn't a big deal. The way I see it, when I roleplay with someone, it's like writing a story with them. I exert a lot of creative effort, just like I would for a story commission. And if you're willing to pay me for that creativity in a story, I thought maybe you'd be willing to pay a discount and write a story with me via roleplay.
Let me rephrase that I'm exerting a lot of effort for these replies. It wouldn't be uncommon to get fifty to one hundred word replies, even if you don't want to write out detailed replies yourself. And across 40 replies, that's 2k to 4k words-- basically guaranteed to be longer than a story you commission. Think of it like guiding me and my characters to do exactly what you want in the surprising, adventurous way that only roleplay can provide.
I wonder if the biggest problem is that this is something people expect to do for free, and since there's no precedent (like art commissions vs. requests), there's backlash over the thought of losing money. But come on! None of my critics have even asked to roleplay with me in the past few months! And I don't have time to devote to roleplay these days anyway; between college and my daily writing/drawing, I barely have an hour or two to myself. So my options are A) Never roleplay with anyone or B) roleplay with those willing to make it worth my while.
I hope this clarifies my decision.
