I don't get on here very often but I miss you guys and want to know how you all are doing?

I haven't been drawing at all the last 6+ months, no idea why. Drop a cute OC for me to draw maybe.

How are you all doing?

My birthday was in February. A really good friend from work died unexpected on my birthday. He had a heart attack on the way to work, it was 4 days before his 30th birthday. I talked with this guy non stop at work, he was honestly one of the most supportive, understanding people ever.

The strange part is I feel like I haven't had time to accept it or something. I'm the type of person that tries to be really strong for my other friends and think about them and how they are feeling in these situations. As much as I miss Xeng there isn't anything I can do for him now, so I just try to take care of our friends. But because of that I feel like I never really got particularly sad. Sure, I cried like a baby a few times at the funeral, but other than that... it hasn't been a lot...and I dunno I feel guilty about it somehow.

At some point in the past year I talked about how my sister contacted me over facebook. I never knew my biological Father, and never really cared to know him, but I knew I had some siblings and my mom had said his parents were very nice to her, plus my Dad I have now met my mom when I was about 2 and officially adopted me when I was 4 and they have my little brother whom I grew up with and I really love my adoptive Dad, my parents are honestly the best.
Anyways, so this sister got in contact with me and we spoke a little bit on facebook and I've got her, 4 other sisters and a brother, I'm the oldest, haven't talk to any of them, they are all from like 3 different ladies (yeah, this guy got around-hence why my mom wanted nothing to do with him after I was born). But then he sent me a friend request on FB, which I accidentally accepted (scrolling and accepted it without realizing) but then I was like mmm ok well it is what it is
Fast forward and he's talked to me a little bit here and there, seems nice, and supportive, but I keep my distance.

Then a few days ago I get a fb message from what would be my grandpa saying he loved me very much and held me as a baby and would love for me to come visit all of them this summer and he'd pay for the place ticket.

This is all moving WAY too fast. Old people have NO CHILL. I haven't responded back. I don't know what to say. I talked to my adoptive Dad about all this over the last few months and he's super supportive and just wants to make sure I don't get hurt or taken advantage of- but even this last one threw him for a loop. I can't talk to my mom about it which is crazy cuz I tell her everything, she knows I'm in contact with my biological father, but doesn't trust him as far as she could throw him and doesn't want to talk about it.

I don't know what to do

I have a total lady crush on my coworker. lol It's a platonic, I think she's really cool and we get along really well kinda lady crush, it's not sexual, at least I've never considered myself to be bisexual. She's a few years older than me, and married to a woman. I'm just so stinkin happy to make a new friend cuz it doesn't really happen very often. It's just her and I in our dept on our shift, but we basically wonder around the whole warehouse together non stop working on projects- a fact that has been pointed out now by management and we've been told to separate ourselves, which I get. But yeah, she's really cool. Gothic, with gauges, tattoos and dermal piecing, and a rather adventurous past that she's calmed down from, which is kinda hilarious since she's so sweet and adorable lol. So yeah, Lady Crush! Woot!

Hello!

I know it has been a long time since I've posted anything. I have had ZERO motivation to draw this last year. A lot has gone on. Good stuff, bad stuff, all the stuff.

Some of the good things are that I moved out of my parents house and out on my own. I love my parents but we were all getting tired of adulting together. Shortly after I moved out I got my promotion at Amazon! Which was all super nice, I really needed the money for rent and all that jazz. But it has been a lot of new responsibility and a lot of learning new things, then we jumped straight into peak season and it's just all been insane!

I started on an xmas piece of Aya that I would really like to finish and get posted before xmas..but we'll see. I'm working 5 12 hour shifts this week and next...and possibly the next. And I honestly just don't think about drawing all that often anymore. It really makes me sad sometimes but that's life I guess.

Hi everyone!
I need suggestions to draw. I've got a couple sketches I need to load, but it'll probably be another week cuuuuuz!
I moved out of my parents house! lol I got a 500 sqft 2 bedroom duplex all to myself. The plan is to have the boyfriend move in eventually but for the moment it aaaaalll mine! And my cats....who is driving me batty.
I also have no internet yet! So I brought my laptop over to my parents to eat their food and steal their internet. Internet should be installed next Saturday. I'm binge watching all of Avatar the Last Airbender so keep from either sleeping all the time or going crazy.
In other news....
I have a sister who is trying to contact me. So, bit of backstory, my biological father left when I was about 1, he cheated on my mom and she was all "buh bye" and then she met my adoptive dad (he's the best dad EVER). My mom never kept any of it a secret from me and I knew that my biological dad had had more kids, but I didn't know names or ages or anything and so never thought too much about it since I didn't know if he'd told them about me. I guess a couple months ago someone sent my mom a facebook message asking about me, and since my mom isn't super facebook savvy didn't see the message until a few weeks ago.
OMG..guys...as I was typing this she messaged me back. I'm so nervous.

I'm 26 now. lol That is all.

I've decided February is not a good month for me. Too cold and not enough sunlight is not good for Aya TT.TT

I've also decided that I can't keep working at my current job and need to find something more career oriented that pays a real livable wage. So I'm trying to figure out if I need to go back to school and finish a 4 year degree, I'm just really afraid of wasting 3-4 years and a shit ton of money again and disappointing myself and those around me and just racking up more debt. Like really afraid of failure.

What do you do to keep your spirits up in the winter?

Art progress:
So at the moment I'm working on some practice stuff. I pull up a random anime reference picture that I like, set a 5 minute timer and see how much of it I can sketch. I can usually do about 3-4 in a day for funzies. It's something easy that doesn't require a ton of commitment or creativity (both of which I am lacking in great amounts) but I'm hoping it will improve my speed and accuracy.

Any suggestions on things I should draw?

Any personal experience in jobs that are a career that you recommend? Or advice on going back to school and overcoming fear of failure?

One 60 hour work week down, one more to go....assuming they don't schedule the week after next for 60 hours as well @.@ I may cry if that's the case, hell, I may cry sometime within the next week anyways lol

Anyways, I want to draw stuff, I really do, but even when I find time I don't know what to draw or get frustrated pretty quickly *shrugs* tis life I suppose.

I had at kidney stone!!!! SO I woke up....Wednesday morning about 5am and felt quite a bit of discomfort on the left side back area, and at first it felt like I'd over extended a muscle and I'd been having a dull ache there for a few days; dull enough that I really didn't think about it or notice it most of the time so when I woke up wednesday monring with an more severe pain I though maybe I'd pulled it more in my sleep and hey it was 5am what was I doing to do about it. So i sort of went back to sleep and figured I's ask my mom in the morning. LOL so at about 6:45 I hear her up so I'm like ow..I should go down there and ask what's wrong with me. So i hop up and by the time I get down there I am in excruciating pain, which is only getting worse. I was hyperventilating and in shock so my mom took me to the ER. Went drove to one a little further away so I could get in right away. And let me tell you never in my life have I felt such pain. Jeezus. So I was at that one for a few hours where they would give me IV fentanyl (a strong anti pain med) that was short acting and every time it started to wear off my pain would skyrocket so fast that by the time i called the nurse back in I was throwing up from the pain. It was great. They decided that they needed to transfer me to the main hospital since it looked like they might have to do surgery. Once I was transfered to the big hospital the plan became pass it naturally that night or have the surgery first thing in the morning. They said that the stone was pretty big but had a 90% chance that it would pass natually but could take up to a month, hence the surgery cuz I could not handle that kind of pain. So morning comes and they do the surgery and come to find out the tube that runs from my kidney to my bladder is actually unusually small and they said there would have actually only been a 5% chance of passing it naturally. So they broke it up with a laser so it feels like i am peeing sand...yay. and put a stint into the kidney to bladder tube that gets to stay in place for 2 weeks. It hurts but no where near as bad as that pain on the first day. So there you have it, my first overnight hospital stay.....

Hey guys how's it going?
So Aya had a birthday last week, she's 25 now >.> which feels sort of strange.

Sorry I haven't done much art for a long time. Been totally devoid of motivation and creativity for the last couple months. I don't know if it's because it's winter or because I've been working a lot, either way I realize I haven't done anything. That being said I randomly cleaned my room today and then promptly tore it apart looking for a notebook I realized I hadn't seen in a while. Most recent update....still missing. The notebook contained dialog for my panel comic BandTrek which I hadn't been thinking about much so the thought didn't occur to me to look for it. So now I'm soups sad and have zero idea where it could be TT.TT

So yeah, update me on how everyone's doing. I'm going to continue my search by...*gulps* venturing into the...attic....wish me luck.

Ok so I'm sorta really broke, it's partially my decision because I'm paying double on my car payment to get it paid off in 6 months instead of a year. I'm doing this so I have money to move out with my boyfriend (who I've been with for 6 years) for the first time!

So any commissions I get I will be using as my own personal spending money.... cuz even though I'm working 40hr+ a week I figured up my bills and yeah...there's no money. lol

Things I'd like to spend money on:
-Ok so! I want to build my own hydroponics garden! They are so cool! And if I can build one and it works well I may try to make more to sell since hydroponics kits sell for $200-$2000

-Chickens....I've wanted a chicken coop and chickens for like....5 years. I'll need to build my own chicken coop so yeah...

-Cosplay material. I don't exactly know who I'll cosplay as at Naka Kon this year but I'm thinking about Taokaka from Blazblue.

After the holidays *falls asleep and drools on keyboard*

Had a really good xmas and xmas weekend though.

I also started my job yesterday. A 10hr day right off the bat and while it isn't hard I was standing that whole time and was way freakin tired by the end. 9-7 kinda makes it feel like by the time you get home, shower, and eat dinner your entire day is gone and you just go to bed, so that's kind of depressing. They did say that they would hire me full time so...yay more days like that and having no life... but who knows, maybe it will be ok.

So I want to work on a more 'furry' type face, instead of the anime style I've been doing. It's still going to be very anime but I would like to experiment with a muzzle type style with the nose and mouth protruding just a little bit more.

Hi, I've decided to post any nsfw art here
So I won't be posting any really sexual art here, because I've always felt like my page was more geared towards more cute stuff that's not just like...omg giant penis's and bouncing boobs. But I've decided to give that kind of art a try, in hopes of improving poses and perspective.

A bit about myself.
I currently attend the University of Kansas and have recently decided to duel major in Astronomy and Geology with a teaching certificate in 'Earth and Space sciences' and 'mathematics'. I'm at the beginning of my majors so I'm not really sure how well I'll do in math.
I love drawing and the fur community was introduced to me by my friend While my style is more anime-ish I like furries because you don't have to draw clothes, haha. Although I wish I was better at drawing clothes.
On that note I'm a HUGE Otaku.... so much anime and manga....ask me about anime and manga...go ahead o.o
I've crossplayed as both Diadara from Naruto and Kenshin from Samurai X (not Rurouni Kenchin because I had one scar on my cheek not two and the top of the outfit was blue). The latter if which I made myself.
So there ya go~ me, Aya.
