It's been a rough debate with myself, but I've decided to toss out the latest part of World War Fur since it just wasn't coming together for me. I've been essentially stuck for months - writing bits at a time, but not producing anything I liked. I know where the story goes and how it ends, but Book Three has taken some revamping already (I tossed out the entire 1st chapter and restarted long ago) that changes what I had planned from the start. Some things just didn't line up on "paper" as they did in my head.

I'm frustrated because this is something I want to complete. And I still plan on finishing it. But I need to reground myself in the characters and story.

*sigh*

I have a moment to breathe. The past couple months have been incredibly busy and stressful and depressing. But, having accomplished a major hurdle, I now have a moment to breathe and take stock of what's left for me. I wish I could jump a few months into the future and avoid the immediate decisions I need to make, even though those decisions will still haunt me for the rest of my life. There is no avoiding life and death.

Hm. It wasn't my intention to dwell on the current abyss of my life, but I suppose I needed to put some of it out to prevent it smothering me.

What I planned on getting into was how I was hoping to get back to writing after being sidetracked by things beyond my control. And that's the plan. Again. I keep coming back to John Lennon's quote of "Life is what happens when you're making other plans." Yup yup.

So, I will continue to show my happy face and not burden y'all with vague stuff.

But yeah, I'm gonna write something ...

I usually avoid trailers because I don't like movies I'm really into spoiled. But I just watched the new Star Wars trailer. Because Star Wars.

I'm not usually big on New Year's resolutions other than to establish a goal or two that I usually don't follow up on. That said, I do have a few things I plan on accomplishing this coming year, and I'm hoping by stating them publicly I'll be more inclined to concentrate on them.

First: Finish World War Fur! I've been working on it, but time just seems to get away from me so easily! But I AM working on it and totally plan on getting it done!

Second: Get rid of my debt! Not sure if this is even possible - given what I owe - but I'm going to strive to be more financially responsible and pay off what I can when I can. At the least, I want to decrease it significantly.

Third: Win the lottery. Yup. That's gonna happen. Just you watch.

Okay, I can't take any kind of credit for FA's return other than to say that I've been thinkin' horrible thoughts to the bastards that caused the outage. But hey, stuff like this has the - probably unintended - affect of bringing the community together in support of the site. And that's a good thing in an otherwise fucked up situation.

So, decided to become my 300th watcher today. I figured that was important enough to post! But I love all my watchers equally! (well, some more equally than others!) :3

I prefer to think of myself as someone who would not "celebrate" the death of other person, but in this case I have to admit that I'm glad he's dead. He was a vile, hateful man who tried to spread nothing but hate to others. His picketing of funerals - a time when families were suffering the loss of a loved one - was one of the most heinous things someone could do. He was truly a horrible human being and his death improves our society. I feel it proper to quote one of my own characters from World War Fur - “You humans believe in Hell. I hope they celebrate your arrival.”

Burn, Freddie. Burn for all eternity for the filth you spewed and pain you caused.

I saw a wolf! At least, I think he was a wolf. Coulda been a fox. He came into where I work (horrid retail place!) and was just standing in an aisle so I went up and said hi. I always wondered if a fursuiter would wander into the place. I shoulda asked for a hug! :3

First off, the good news! Yay! I've got the last two chapters of Book II of World War Fur written! Almost! I still have editing and revising to do, but they are basically sort of almost ready to go! I should be posting Chapter 11 later this week (work schedule allowing).

But I noticed that it's been ten months since I posted the last chapter! Holy Hell, how does time get away from me like that?? At this rate, it'll be 2021 before I finish the whole story! Gah! See what having a job does to creativity? So remember, kids, keep living in your parent's basement and draw lots of porn!

A really sweet wolf buddy of mine is going through a rough time with a very sick cat and mounting vet bills.  Samuel_Maggis has been looking for a job, and is now facing dire circumstances because his poor kitty needs surgery. If anyone is able to help him in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. At the very least, send positive thoughts his way.

Tonight was a rare alignment of three planets - Mercury, Venus and Jupiter - forming a nice little triangle just over the western horizon after sunset before dropping down too far to see.

I took my cheap-o telescope out to check out the planets. I've viewed Venus and Jupiter before, but never caught Mercury. I wasn't able to see any of Jupiter's moons - which is a truly awesome sight if you ever have the chance to see them in a telescope. But it still looked very cool, and I'm pretty sure I could make out the bands.

Last night was a beautiful light-orange full moon, and tonight a planetary alignment. Amazing stuff. :3
