World War Fur Update - The Lost Month
Posted 12 years agoIt's amazing how real life events can get so wildly out of control that the tracking of time becomes useless. It's been seven weeks since I've even opened the file for Chapter 11 of World War Fur - by far the longest gap since starting the story. I had mentally estimated a few weeks and was quite disappointed with the realization that almost two months had passed.
*sigh*
Well, not wanting to dwell on what cannot be changed, I am now back in the writing saddle; the RL distractions of April a distant memory of trials, tribulations and one major victory.
For those following the story, I thank you for your patience and will endeavor to complete the remaining two chapters of Book 2 soon. Life is still an obstacle to my progress, but it's back to its normal, manageable level of belligerence.
Peace, y'all! :3

New VORE Site! Yay! For FURRIES! Yay Some More!!
Posted 12 years agoSo,
created a brand new site yesterday dedicated to furry vore. I've been playing around on it and having a great time chatting with other like-minded prey and predators! If vore is your thing, I strongly recommend that you go and sign up! It's still new and growing (like a predator's belly!) and suggestions are welcome! You can find it right here

How Unique!
Posted 13 years agoSince it's now December (how the heck did THAT happen??) and I've missed a few deadlines, I figured I'd post something to let anyone interested know that I am still writing! I apologize for not being to hold up to my schedule, and I assure you it's bothering me a lot. But work, life (and some bad time-wasting habits, if I'm to be honest) have interfered with my getting much done.
But I AM still working on World War Fur! I've stated before my intent to finish this story, and I am going to hold myself to that. But I'm going to toss off the idea of meeting the self-imposed deadlines for posting. Only two more chapters remain in Book Two (and I'm about halfway through chapter 11), and I've come to the decision that I will not post Book Three until it is complete. That way I can shoot out a chapter every week without having to worry about meeting any deadlines again.
That also probably means that after the next two chapters, you won't see anything from me for a long time.
Ironically, I had originally planned on ending Chapter Two with the last chapter I posted, using it as a cliff-hanger. But I decided against it, wanting to push the story a bit further. Maybe I shoulda gone with my initial thought! Haw!
So. That's where I'm at. How you doin'?

Update! And a World War Fur Announcement!
Posted 13 years agoI had hoped to do an update a month ago but got so busy with real life commitments that I never got to it. But, as of yesterday, I have completed the major distractions and can now resume looking for furry porn my quest to write the remainder of World War Fur! Yay!
Quite literally, I have not touched the story for the past two weeks, which is the longest I've gone since starting it a few years ago. But I'm eager to jump back into it, and have already scribbled out a few paragraphs.
So now, it's Big Announcement Time! Are you ready? *cues the drum roll*
World War Fur - Book II - Altered States begins June 1st!
Since I used Fridays as my posting day before, this allows me to continue that trend. But because I'm still a few chapters away from completion, and I want to post on an unbroken schedule, I will be posting chapters every other week this time. If I had more control over RL events I'd go for weekly like before, but I don't want to get rushed like the last chapter of Book I. I gave this a lot of thought and decided it was the best way to go forward.
So, in a mere three weeks the answer will be revealed as to why Charger and Andro are falling out of the sky in a truck!
Huzzah! :3

Okay, I confess. I'm totally into the whole Lotto Fever thing. I got a few tickets for myself and got into a pool at work.
What can I say? If I win, I'll be commissioning a lot of you artists! haha
Anyone else buying any tickets for tonight?

SAVE THE HYENAS!
Posted 14 years agoNew Year, Old Goals. O.o
Posted 14 years agoI think I’m the only person on FA who hasn’t done a “Happy New Year” journal. So … Happy New Year!
For anyone still keeping track, you’ll notice that I posted no new chapters to World War Fur this past year (although I did slip in a collab preview drawing). The lack of new posts is not for lack of interest, since I’ve been writing all year – just at a snail’s pace due to life, work, and a lack of discipline. I was really hoping to start posting the first chapter of Book Two starting this month, but the three aforementioned distractions have reared their disruptive heads once again.
I have every intention of completing the book, and should have Book Two ready for a regular posting schedule in a month or two. In fact, if I can effectively kick myself in the ass to quit squandering the bits of time I do have and get enough written, I may start posting in February. I have 8 of the 12 chapters done, so that may be enough lead-time to stay on a weekly release schedule. (words of encouragement would not be a bad thing here *hint hint*).
So, although I’m not stating any real “resolutions”, I do plan on striving to regain a degree of control over the randomness of life this year. I have to admit that I allowed myself to slack off with the excuse of some serious personal problems – many of which were financial – but that is no longer the massive weight that it was (yes, there was a bit of goodness towards the end of 2011). Once I get my head back out of OhMyGodSTRESS mode, I should be able to redeem my old levels of productivity and write like a happy otter should.
My thanks to those of you who have followed my writing. May we all have an awesomely productive and prosperous year!

Commission An Awesome Writer! (not me - I said 'Awesome')

Writer Shout Out! Navels! Vore! (and Sex)!
Posted 14 years agoI want to give some attention to a new buddy of mine here on FA. He wrote his first vore story (see the evil influence us little otters can be?) and heaps of admiration should be sent his way.
The story does involve sexual situations (fair warning to you!) and navel fetish stuff (w00t)! And vore. And a bear! (dayam, bears are fun!).
So, go check out
and his awesome story right here

Posted 14 years agoKee-ripes! It's been three months since I mentioned how World War Fur is going, so here's an update! It's still going! Yay!
Progress is being made, but at a dismally slow rate. Life intrudes, as always.
I do have plans to toss in another collaborative drawing with
as a preview illustration. That could pop up in a few weeks, depending on when I get to it.
So, don't give up on me! I have every intention of eventually completing this story! Eventually!

If you reply to this journal, you must make your own journal of the same subject.
Okay, I rarely do journals in the first place, and have never done one of these meme things (well, except for an artsy thing that I sorta cheated with, heh). Anyway, I couldn't resist not responding to
when I read his journal, and since the condition included starting my own, here it is. :3

Posted 14 years agoI've seen a few people do this for artists they want to toss some attention towards, so I decided to do the same for some writers I feel deserve a bit of love.
I just finished the entire 25 chapter story Wishful Thinking by
and for anyone into navels, vore (and can handle some gore), I recommend that you check it out. Mitch has a very easy style of writing that draws you right into the story.
Another writer that I need to catch up with is
. We did a lengthy RP a while ago where he really showed his skills, and has done a lot of other stories that I want to get to now that I've finished Mitch's epic.
So, there ya have it , folks. Stop looking for art to fap to and read a bit. :3

World War Fur - Another Update
Posted 14 years agoI just scanned my last update which said I'd be shooting for March as the start point of Book Two. Well, that ain't happenin'. Not for lack of trying though! I've been writing when I can, and finished the first chapter yesterday (what?! only the 1st chapter after all this time??). Granted, it's a long chapter and could easily be broken into 2 or 3... but that wouldn't change the fact that the rest of the book still needs to get done.
So. I guess I'm going to drop any pretense of announcing a return of World War Fur until I'm close to finishing it. But it is gonna get done (unless the world ends on May 21st). :3

World War Fur Update. Yay?
Posted 15 years agoSince I haven’t submitted any chapters for four weeks I figured I’d toss in a quick update because that’s the kind of attention whore I am.
Life and work have been keeping me busier than I would prefer, but I am making slow progress on World War Fur – Book Two. Given how rushed I felt in maintaining the weekly postings before, I will be delaying the next book until I have it complete, or very nearly. When I posted the first chapter back in October, I was eight or nine chapters ahead and confidently assumed I would have no trouble keeping up the writing to stay ahead and continue with all three books uninterrupted! Well, oops, okay? Lesson learned; I write sloooow. And life keeps interfering. (darn you, Life! Why must you trample me so?)
So, I will still shoot for March as the start point of Book Two, but I’m not holding that as a firm commitment. I’ll hold off until I’m ready. This book is going to go in directions I’m not comfortable with, and I want to make sure I get it right.
My thanks to everyone who has been following the story. I will do my best to keep it entertaining. :3

Deadlines, Delays and WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!
Posted 15 years agoJohn Lennon said it best. Life is what happens when you’re making other plans.
When I posted the first chapter of World War Fur on October 1st, it was with the intent of posting a chapter a week through the entire story. I began writing in May, and was 11 chapters ahead when I posted the first one, figuring that I had enough head start to stay well ahead of the posting deadlines. Oops.
Even though I’ve been writing continuously (at varying speeds), life and work have been causing numerous delays. Chapter 12 (next week’s showdown between Andro and Phineas Forsythe) took nearly two months to complete. Granted, it’s a long chapter, but I had a lot of concerns with its execution, in addition to all the real life disruptions.
So, what does this mean? It means that there will be a break between books. Book One ends on December 31st (how fitting!) and Book Two won’t start until February at the earliest – but most likely March. I won’t start posting it until I have enough to go non-stop through the entire Book. Whether there will be a break for Book Three, only time will tell at this point. The gaps in posting will not reflect a gap in writing, as I will be busily chugging along here.
One bit of good news here. During the January gap, I will be posting the RP story Stranger in a Strange Dorm that I did with
2010_mustang_lol . This is the story that introduces most of the characters and covers all the events that led up to World War Fur.
Thanks to all who have been following the story, and I hope you stick with it as it continues. :3

Posted 15 years agoIt never occurred to me that FA doesn't recognize bovines! I mean, c'mon - COWS and BULLS! Especially BULLS! (oh damn, being eaten by a bull.. murrr!!) So anyway, an effort is now underway to bring attention (and hopefully action) to resolve that little oversight and I'm fully supporting it.
From Ship-wreck's journal:
"Furaffinity needs a Bovine species tab for the cow/bull furs! :3

See, you can even get a Free Icon for your efforts!
As my character Androcles the Lion would say, "Equality for all furs!"

Opinions Requested on Upcoming Story. You. Yes, YOU!
Posted 15 years agoFirst off, for anyone paying attention, this is my first journal. Huzzah! I’ll be brief since I know y’all have other stuff to do.
In just over a week I’ll be submitting the first chapter of my new story. I’ve been working on it for about five months, wanting to get far enough ahead to be able to post a chapter a week. Which leads to my first Opinions Wanted question: Is there a day of the week that is better for posting stories?
[ ] Yes (please specify the day you like)
[ ] No – Any day that ends in “day” is fine
[ ] No Opinion, I just like checking little boxes
Next thing I wanna get your feelings about is the use of tags. I get that tags are useful to warn people about questionable content (diapers?! WTF!), but for chapterized stories (apparently I just made that word up) I also see them as spoilers. “Oh, this is the chapter that has vore.” “This is the chapter that has lasagna.” What I’m planning on doing is listing tags for the entire first book (it’s a 3-book novel) in Chapter One, then simply referring to that for the rest of the chapters. The only people that should be affected would be someone jumping in in the middle. “Hey, look! It’s Chapter 14! That sounds interesting!” So, any thoughts on this? (please say something)
Even if you have no intention of reading the story, your opinion would be valuable to me. (plus I’m curious how many comments I can garner in my first journal. Yes, I’m a whore)
