Back again! (part 2)
Posted 4 years agoAs I said on the previous journal, I'm back again ^^
I had to stop doing NSFW because it was getting in the way of my regular job as an illustrator. Which is what I want to talk about today, I'll be posting my SFW work on Barasaurus for a while, right now I'm getting ready for a Pokémon Kickstarter, "Dalcant's 151", and it consumes pretty much all of my work time.
I know furaffinity loves pokémon so I thought it would be a good idea for you guys to check my SFW stuff and for me to maybe get some new potential backers :)
Plus, I've put a ton of time and effort on this project and I'm not gonna lie, I want people to see it and be as hyped out about it as I am <3<3<3
After I'm done with my Kickstarter I'll be back with Barasaurus stuff ^^

Champ Movers Update!
Posted 7 years agoI have a lot of stuff to announce, so I’ve made a big post with everything you need to know :)
Well first of all, I’m thrilled you guys enjoy the movers so much, it’s been a close to heart project of mine for quite some time, and I love seeing your reactions on the comments/asks, which reminds me: Please, PLEASE, answer on the notes or contact me after you read this post because I need your feedback, and I need it BAD!
Okay, updates!
About the script, I have pretty much all the Alola trip planned, and a good amount of regular Champ movers everyday life comic strips. Right now the story is very Champ and Chomp related, but the whole Alola trip is kind of around Champ, and a small part about Chop. Chuck and Choke will get more spotlight in the future :)
Also, I’ve got some new characters planned (I want to talk about them SO MUCH but no spoilers!) and one new main character.
Something I’ve been struggling with, is the general aesthetic of the movers, I’m sure you guys noticed the movers are getting more ‘sketchy’, This is because I work on them between paid work, so I don’t have that much time to spend and I don’t want to sacrifice posting them in color.
Also, I’ve always loved strips with no dialogue, only relying on the narrative of the panels, and leaving people to imagine the situation on their own terms, but I’ve come to the conclusion that I have to put some dialogue at some point, because figuring out the narrative for certain strips is so time consuming, I will still try to do mots no dialogue strips I can. But, yeah, for the sake of the story expect dialogue strips in the future.
I’ll move the movers to another url, to keep everything organized, I’ll keep posting them on Barasaurus, but some people want to follow Champ Movers and not the nsfw stuff I also post here :3
I’m trying to figure out how to work on the movers more regularly, because it’s a project I want to work on so bad but I can’t afford to do it even though I love it, I simply can’t. So I’m considering making a Patreon or Ko-fi for the project, posting pages when a certain amount is donated on Ko-fi, or maybe with Patreon making a reward for each time I post a page, and make it exclusive for some time until I post it on tumblr. That way I could work on the movers on a regular basis. I’m not sure, I really need your opinion on this.
Lastly, weeks ago I purchased some custom patches with the Champ Movers logo, I made them to put them on a cap, to have one part of their ‘uniform’ and it looks great <3. I initially purchased them for me and some friends, but in case you’re interested I could put them on sale, here’s a sample!

And then they recommend me to irl friends and family… I mean… really? I already have a sfw account why do you think I keep my stuff separated? But it’s not just that, they say ‘Hey you know this person on FB, he’s [name]’
… I don’t even have a FB with Barasaurus.
Well in case you guys don’t know I take privacy stuff very personal, I’m a very private person, and it’s not about me doing nsfw art, most of my friends and family know, that being said, I don’t want my family to see my nsfw art for obvious reasons, also my sfw followers are from all ages, and a lot of them underaged and I’m not okay with instagram recommend them Barasaurus, or they are just people not interested about nsfw at all and still they get a ‘Hey look at this, you already follow him!’, and this is just so wrong.

What kind of YCH would you want?

I'm kind of new to the YCH thing but they are super fun for me, and is a way of using some cool poses I want to work on that maybe I don't have the chance otherwise.
Last YCH went a little bit unnoticed, and since I'm a noob in this things I wonder what the issue might be, I think maybe was because I made it on the last days of the month, people might be on vacation, or the fact that I don't have a base of watchers so I don't reach as many people as I would want to.
My question to you guys is what kind of YCH would you be interested in? I thought if I'm in doubt about it it'd be better to just ask away :)
After all, learning about my audience helps me produce better artwork and helps you to be heard and get what you're interested in
It'd be awesome to have some feedback!

Last YCH went a little bit unnoticed, and since I'm a noob in this things I wonder what the issue might be, I think maybe was because I made it on the last days of the month, people might be on vacation, or the fact that I don't have a base of watchers so I don't reach as many people as I would want to.
My question to you guys is what kind of YCH would you be interested in? I thought if I'm in doubt about it it'd be better to just ask away :)
After all, learning about my audience helps me produce better artwork and helps you to be heard and get what you're interested in
