Happy Update on Vet emergency and Cats! [2023]
Posted 2 years agoHello everyone! I want to thank you so much for all the support and well wishes, it truly means a lot! Thanks to you guys through donations and commissions, we've been able to cover the remainder of the veterinary costs for Coby's treatment [Who's doing really well!] and we have some for Ozzy's continued treatment.
We've had a lot of scares in the past week with Ozzy, but in general things are looking good and as long as it continues that way, Ozzy should be able to recover comfortably, and without so much stress, unlike Coby, who had to stay at the vet for days and require surgery. It's been rough but it looks like we're getting to the other side of this whole ordeal.
But yeah I want to make sure to let you know, things are looking really good, they'll still require close supervision and care/assistance. But it might be that moving forward the biggest thing will just be prescription food for both of them and for Ozzy, blood tests twice a year. [Besides the current urinary blockage, Ozzy already required special food due to something with his liver.]

TLDR: We need some help covering veterinary costs, two of our cats, Coby and Ozzy, developed a Urinary Track Blockage and infection, first only Coby, thankfully he's recovering well right now, but just a few days after, it's clear Ozzy is blocking as well, and while we caught it early, it's still uncertain if he'll recover just by eating his special prescription food and taking his meds, or if he'll need a catheter and perhaps might also need to stay at the vet. Either way we seriously need some help covering the costs so far [now up to $700usd] and to have some extra just in case [Or if things go well, any extra money would pretty much go towards more cat food, since it looks like they'll need special food from now on]. I've made a Paypal donation page, as well as opening special $40usd commissions, however these commissions would be started by late March/ early April.

Going into more detail this is what's been going on:
On January 29th we noticed that our cat Coby, 2 years old, was having trouble peeing, he was straining and trying to go anywhere he could but only a few drops would come out, we took him to the vet.
He had to stay while they put a catheter, monitored him and ran tests. It turns out that he had a lot of crystals buildup in his bladder, as well as an infection that had developed, and so he also had a lot of mucus. The vets were trying to flush everything out through a catheter and cleanups twice a day but it wasn't improving so he required a surgery to get rid of everything.
Finally he was able to come back home on February 3rd, and while it was super stressful and scary, so far he's recovering well!
This whole ordeal was really tough on one of our other cats as well, Ozzy, 4 years old. When Coby came back home, Ozzy stopped eating well and even threw up daily for a few days. Slowly he recognized and accepted Coby again, and started eating again, but on the 15th we noticed he started peeing more often but a smaller quantity. We took him to a different vet [where we've taken him before] on the 16th but it was uneventful, the vet gave us a pill so he'd be calmer and easier to handle, and on the 17th he was checked properly, got tests made, and I was also able to get a pee sample for them. Turns out he also has struvite crystals and an infection. They are currently running a.. "culture"? to determine exactly what the infection is and how to treat it.
This is where we currently are, for now we were sent home with meds, we are feeding him his prescription food, and hopefully this will be enough for him to recover. But so far the costs are around $700, and we've run out of money.

AnonEi is what I've used for the longest time, it is my SFW pseudonym. Dronema is my newest pseudonym, It was intended for 3D stuff but I'm thinking of repurposing it for NSFW in general.
As soon as we're able to change our usernames I'll probably ditch "BarelyNSFW". It's very outdated and I don't like it.
This is the main site I use to upload my work, I use it as an archive, but to avoid spamming I try to restrict how much I post, especially because most of it is sketches!

The short version is that I don't really plan to open commissions again anytime soon unless it's due to necessity [Something big happening and needing money to cover it].

But basically I've struggled the past few years [I got really depressed] and my art took a big hit I haven't recovered from! [I myself am doing much better though! no worries.] Drawing is not very fun to me anymore, and it's something I use as a necessity, to make commissions and make money, and I burn out very quickly. I think with time it could go back to what it was, but it will not have a chance to if I keep using it for work. It needs to become a hobby, or something more manageable and relaxed that I can nurture back to health.
Buut of course I also need money and drawings are the best thing I can offer... until now?
Through this all, my desire to learn 3D has not been impacted and I intend to get better at making 3D characters as well as eventually pursuing animation.
I want to give Patreon a try, I think it would allow me to keep having an online presence while I keep learning 3D, and it would allow me to focus on it so that I'm able to improve/learn faster!
I'm not sure what I can offer right now on Patreon though, since it's so early on my 3D journey. Eventually I want to offer animations, cool looking WIPs, maybe even work on models that are intended to be released publicly for more people to make stuff with!
I'm open for suggestions! Right now I want to use December [when I should have finished all my pending commissions] to clean up all my oldest files and offer access to a full archive! I have art since 2015 [Deep in the Homestuck days for me!] After that I'd like to show my progress, maybe make compilations of cool resources I'm using to learn 3D stuff for those interested.
Maybe make a monthly illustration or sketchdump of a character selected by patrons, I'm not sure!
If you're interested in any of this, if you believe in this choice I'm making or have faith in what I could achieve in this new medium.

Please feel free to leave suggestions on what kinda stuff you'd like to see from me in the future!

★★SKETCHBOOK PAGE COMMISSIONS!!★★ 10 spots! [CLOSED]

Because of the tablet issues, I’ll try something different, I’ll open “sketchbook page” commissions!
It’s the first time I try something like this… and I’m not sure how many people might be interested in one buut I think it’s worth a try!
I can’t guarantee a specific amount of sketches, but this is why I’m posting scans from my sketchbook, with minimum editing, and posting the full pic [no cropping to remove edges] so that you can see the size of the paper, the size of the drawings and how many I can usually fit on a page.
As you can see above I can usually fit full body, mid body and portraits into one page [You can more or less get an idea of how I “organize” the sketches too.]
Prices:
- $25 for a single character sketch page.
- $35 for several characters. [There could be over 5 different characters in the page but I’ll only draw 3 characters interacting at a time, esp for NSFW pieces.]
They can be NSFW, but keep in mind I can’t draw anything too complicated [I can’t push perspective/draw complicated angles, or poses with tons of overlapping & foreshortening, or several characters interacting. All that usually takes me a lot of planning and… layers.. haha]
A few things to note:
-I’ll be able to fit between 5 and 15 characters into a single page, the sweet spot being 8-10. [From the examples, there’s one that has 24! But a lot of those are tiny faces]
-These drawings will be “wing it“ commissions, vague pose suggestions and mood/personality requests are welcome but in this case, I believe the more limitations, the less I’ll be able to fit. The sketch pages will be like me making character studies.
-If you want several characters to be added, let me know which are your favorites or which I should focus on the most so that they’ll be the most visible [or the ones that’ll have more sketches of them]
-The pages I’m showing as examples aren’t very clean because I draw on both sides, so when I scan you can see the drawings from the other side. For these commissions I will only use one side so that the drawings stay very clean!
-You’ll only get a digital scan, I can’t physically ship it because I haven’t researched prices/methods to guarantee you’ll get the page in good condition.
I’ll take 10 of these commissions!

I know I juuust said yesterday that I'd open commissions tomorrow [on the 3rd of February] but very suddenly my tablet is not working properly, I tried reinstalling drivers but no luck.. and sadly because of the Chinese New Year celebrations it looks like people on Huion won't be able to get back to me until February 11th... I'm not sure how long this will last, hopefully not super long, but I won't be able to open commissions until I'm sure I can deliver!

Sidenote: People who come to request I share callout posts will get blocked. Most times it's just virtue signaling over fictional kinks/Ships, and/or an excuse to bully people without consequences.

Dubcon -> Dubious Consent -> [Still rape IRL, in fiction it serves to separate situations in which a character is not sure themselves whether they want to participate or not, better explained HERE. ] This is a term that can ONLY be applied to fiction. In real world situations there's either consent or there isn't. And if there’s anything sexual going on without consent, that’s called Rape or sexual abuse/assault.
Now, while I do like to draw or read some dark subjects in fiction, that’s because I can easily separate their depiction in fiction from reality.
I don’t condone, support or think abuse, sexual harassment, rape, pedophilia, violence, or anything of the sort is ok or should be allowed to happen IRL to real people regardless of age, gender etc.
Why do I think it’s ok for people to create dark fictional content?
In short: Because among the people creating it, there’s survivors, and I don’t think it’s ok to further harass or out them/demand they tell some random stranger[s] on the internet about their trauma so they can be judged by these strangers, to see if they are “enough of a survivor” to indulge in this type of content.
I also think people who aren't or don’t consider themselves survivors should be able to write and draw these subjects as well, as liking something in fiction doesn’t mean they like these things IRL, and fiction is the safest way to explore these subjects.

ANTI. Also known as Fanpol (fandom police), fantis (fandom antis). Meaning "Anti Ship". The term is mostly based on antis from Livejournal, Deviantart and Tumblr. They were people against specific ships. Like "Anti-Zutara", "Anti-Equara" Anti whatever ship. They would go to spaces that liked that ship and say it was wrong or stupid. At the time it was just considered fandom wank, dumb ship wars. People just angry because others refused to ship their personal OTP, who they thought was superior or more accurate, or more canon, or less/more gay, lesbian, het.
Then on tumblr people started trying to justify their dislike for ships with woke vocabulary, shipping started to become a competition of who is most woke, and who's ship is the most pure and morally correct, and if you liked the wrong ship it meant you were an abuser or rapist [For as little as liking the enemy to lovers trope], Homophobe [If you preferred a het ship over a gay one, despite you yourself being gay, lesbian, bi, or liking other mlm or wlw ships.], Pedophile [For as little as liking two adult characters in a consensual setting, who happen to have an age gap] etc.
By now this has escalated to constant dogpiling, harassment, and spreading of lies. [Tbh on both sides]. But I want to make sure I'm clear on what I personally mean, because I've seen people seriously say "Proship means Propedophilia". But that's not true, it's just about letting people ship whatever the fuck they want, yes even when you find the content gross or tasteless. Because exploring these themes in fiction is alright, and safe and responsible as long as there's warnings. And I will stand by this because even if I don't like some content, censorship is dangerous, and I have to repeat, people call ships pedo/incest for as little as two characters knowing each other from childhood.
Purity Culture: It's fandom's cancel culture, it's what it was called by most people within fandom before "Cancel Culture" became more mainstream and adopted by everyone. It's about liking the most healthiest of characters/ships/fandoms, and feeling like a morally superior person because of it.

In real world situations there's either consent or there isn't. And if there’s anything sexual going on without consent, that’s called Rape or sexual abuse/assault.
Now, while I do like to draw or read some dark subjects in fiction, that’s because I can easily separate their depiction in fiction from reality.
I don’t condone, support or think abuse, sexual harassment, rape, pedophilia, violence, or anything of the sort is ok or should be allowed to happen IRL to real people regardless of age, gender etc.
Why do I think it’s ok for people to create dark fictional content?
In short: Because among the people creating it, there’s survivors, and I don’t think it’s ok to further harass or out them/demand they tell some random stranger[s] on the internet about their trauma so they can be judged by these strangers, to see if they are “enough of a survivor” to indulge in this type of content.
I also think people who aren't or don’t consider themselves survivors should be able to write and draw these subjects as well, as liking something in fiction doesn’t mean they like these things IRL, and fiction is the safest way to explore these subjects.

Because I'm trying to get up to date I might post in big batches which could get annoying [it could be a bit of spam, sorry!]
But after I've posted everything I want to, new updates will be more sporadic, but I intend to use this account for everything NSFW related that I will continue to draw in the future.
Also important note: any character drawn in a sexual/mature/explicit way are over 18 years old, regardless of their age in the original source material.
Same with my original characters i might eventually post.
