Hey peoples. I don't think I'll get much of a reach on this journal due to few watchers, but I'll try anyway.
Does anyone know a good website for buying faux fur? Not exactly making a fursuit, but I plan to sew up something similar in the future and I'm having a hard time finding a good selection of shorter pile stuff. 'Twas my Birthday today, and I am now in my 20's. It feels cool, but mostly just really odd. :P

Didn't do a whole lot today, other than composing a song, and I went to see a musical with my mom. Had a grand old time. And I got Big Ben luggage! So hooray.

All right, I know there's got to be some Skyward Sword fans out there. How would you pronounce the name of the Demon Lord? I've come upon many conflicting versions. Just use basic English phonemes... I don't want to be even more confused. XD

Of my owlsona. Not a fursuit, though, those things are a little scary (says the black-eyed owl), and not realistic enough for me. I'd rather make it a really close representation to how I'd look in real life as an anthro owl. A small number of you who are aware of my existence know that I cosplay anime, manga, and (soon to be) video game characters. So, in terms of the ability to make this, it wouldn't be too hard. The real hard part would be making it with my parents around, who don't approve and at the moment don't know that I'm still into this furry stuff. Therefore, this probably wont happen, unless I live alone and have a local furry convention that I'd be comfortable going to. (If you're a tl;dr person, you can probably stop here, the rest is just process.)

But if I were able to make this, I'd probably get tonnes of white and brown feathers, sew a slightly stretchy bodysuit and sew the feathers on from there. Wings would be more difficult... I would find a way as I always do. For my eyes, I'd be using all-black contacts (because they probably don't have brown versions). And as for the face, I think I'd be getting a fitting rubber/latex mask that extended down to my shoulders (or at least my neck) and sew/hot-glue feathers on it. Then I'd use a short wig for my hair. Beak would be made of plastic or wood, and would be mechanical, moving as my own mouth does. This would probably be accomplished via some sort of wire-hinge mechanism that attaches to my jaw somehow... I have the basics laid out in my head, but it's hard putting it into words for me.
