Today Officially Sucks
Posted 14 years agoI'm writing this amongst a flurry of texts, because, quite frankly, i should probably be napping already and would rather address stuff to the general public rather than deal with the 5.1 million text messages and IMs.
Short Story: I'm okay, but sore and a little shaken up after getting rear-ended and taken to the ER for fear of concussion.
Prognosis: I'm sore everywhere, bruising along my ribs from the seatbelt, bruising along the back of my head from the head-rest, and i'm a little rattled. I should be physically fine in about a week or less.
My car, well... big yellow got hit by a rice-rocket. The damage was in the rear, and it's mostly fixing the rear bumper, and confirming that the frame is still intact. I remember that much, some details are fuzzy, some are crystal clear.
I'm a little dazed right now, and will probably follow up with a more accurate and up to date report later... for now, i'm just going to try and take it easy.

Feeling Sketchy Pt. 2 (Sketch Requests Take 2)
Posted 14 years agoSo... with a totally cluttered mind, and an unusually potent muse today, i'm going to open up requests for sketches and such. Reference sheets or detailed information is greatly appreciated :o
If you want to turn it into a trade, feel free to do so... but i'm mostly doing these for fun.
Note that if i don't get to your sketch right away, it may be because i have classes... or am having a difficult time with a pose/perspective... or... perhaps i just can't finish it for whatever reason. In any case, unless you do a trade, i'll do my best but promise nothing beyond that.

Posted 15 years agoIt's a new year! It's time to go put out resolutions, make changes in your life to make yourself better. I know the things i have to do.
Goal1: Survive med-school
Goal2: keep at least 1 of my jobs
Resolution: I am going to continue to try and be who i am. I am going to resolve to be as transparent and open as possible. The other thing i resolve to do is learn how to properly ask for help if i ever need it. It's been several grueling years i've fought and toiled to be the best i can be. I know i'm not perfect, but if it was school related, i tried every possible avenue i could possibly think of before asking for help. It would have saved me a ton of time if i'd just talked to those more knowledgeable in the areas i struggled in, rather than trying to do it all on my own. I know i'm going to need to learn to lean on others before medschool so that i know how to do it when i get there :B
Anyways...
that's me, hopefully you all had a good new years, and have found your own ways to better yourself

1: I wish i hadn't gotten distracted while driving a few months ago. Getting a speeding ticket for 10 over hurt, a lot.
2: I wish i'd never met that crazy bitch. I shall not use names, because that would be shallow of me. I shall refer to her as that crazy bitch, much like i do in every day speech. She ruined 8 months of my life, she left me emotionally scarred to the point that my self-esteem was crushed for years, and left me feeling broken and hollow. I have since mostly recovered...
3: I wish i hadn't been showing off while snowboarding. I lost a semester of college because i couldn't keep my ego in check. I had to one up the guys in front of the girls. I ended up in the ER with a dislocated shoulder. That injury has never fully healed, and you'll see me flexing my right arm out from time to time. The joint gets stiff for no apparent reason, but the tension is painful.
4: I regret turning down the first opportunity i had to join the fandom. You guys have been amazing for the most part, and i can't believe i missed a good 4 months of making friends with you all... it was foolish, childish, and far too judgmental of me to turn down the introduction that i did.
5: I feel as if i didn't really get along with class throughout all my pre-college years. I always feel like i missed opportunities with my class, because all my friends were a year older than me. I dated older girls, i bummed rides to places where all the "mature" kids hung out, i went to senior prom as a junior. I feel like i really neglected my class. Senior year of high-school was awkward for me, because i felt like i didn't know anyone... which was really the case.
6: When my first shepherd died, i was too scared to go with her to the vet. I had had Cybil my entire life, she was smart, well behaved, and an amazing dog. I couldn't have asked for more. I feel like i may have let her down when my parents took her to the vet. She was dying from some type of cancer, and it was obvious she was in pain. I regret not being there for her at the end, and will probably hold that regret for the rest of my life.

1: I am a total sucker for adventures, and trying new things. If it sounds exciting, different, or fun, i will try it, and love you for the experience.
2: Intelligent conversation... I like having discussions about things that are deeper than the weather. If you actively engage me, doesn't matter if we agree or not, you've found yourself a friend at the very least.
3: I am horribly playful and flirty, i absolutely adore it when people return the fun/flirting.
4: More of a sucker than with adventures, romantic/friendly gestures, like paying me a surprise visit, a random call, or a nice e-mail. Little things like that totally make my day
5: I <3 hugs and cuddles... i don't think i need to say more about that ^_^

1: I'm taller than most, and i really being that way.
2: I am terrified about my future: the idea of accidentally killing someone if i make a mistake has been haunting me lately. It's a lot of responsibility that i know will keep on my toes. That said, the insomnia this worry has been causing has been downright painful.
3: I like going on adventures. About once a month i try and go on one, even if it's just a few hour long trip to something odd or different near by.
4: I work 2 part time jobs, on top of going to class as a full time student. It's come close to breaking me, but i've managed to pull through so far.
5: I have taken jujitsu for a number of years. It is a very cathartic release for all of my major negative emotions.
6: My favorite music changes a lot... I listen to a little but of every that isn't country. There's something about country music that doesn't appeal to me, and i still haven't put my finger on it.
7: I have a monster of a german shepherd, Duke. I take better care of him than myself.
8: I go to the ends of the world for my close friends. If i can do something to help than out, then i do it.

Sanity Restored
Posted 15 years agoToday i had epic adventures. It's been a good day and i plan on keeping it as such. Met up with some amazing friends, got to meet some amazing people, and save for the longest 45 minute train-ride known to man, things went amazing.
John Stuart's speech was difficult to hear from where we were, but then again. more than 200,000 people are a bit noisy. Better yet, having a comfortable place to relax, and sit down... it was great.
I trek back home later... but for now, i'm just going to enjoy the moment.
