I'm debating whether or not to join Weasyl. If I do, I don't have any intention to put my FA account on the back burner and will most likely make the page exclusive to my Rocco the Clown character. I wanna know your thoughts on it.

The boss who hired me to work the dunk tank here in Pasadena went AWOL and because of that, the tank hasn't opened for 3 days now. Now I'm being told by the OWNER of the tank that if he doesn't show his ass back up soon, he's gonna be fired and I'm gonna be MANAGING the tank, meaning more money and total creative control of what I do in there! He ran off with a girl, taking everything important to him with him.

2012 was probably my worst year ever! It started with bad blood with a former friend on here (I know she still hates me and most likely will for life, but oh well, I've moved on from that!), then getting recruited to possibly drive semis for West Side Transport, only to find out on the last day of a 4-day orientation up in Cedar Rapids that I had to be turned down as my experience driving carnival loads wasn't "consistent enough!" (major waste of time and money, which pissed me off!)

To make things worse, 4 days before the start of my carnival season, I got ARRESTED for panhandling (and I still owe them a fine, which they never told me about in court or jail, fuckers!). The only good news, legalwise, is that I had no vehicle violations, so my CSA score dropped this year.

As for the carnival season, many spots were down across the board, but the worst part was, I had my year-end driving bonus cut in 1/2 on the last day for the 3rd time in 5 years! To me, that's 3 strikes on my employer, meaning there is no way in Hell I will ever come back to them, though I spent 9 years with them! They screwed me for the last time! This was the 1st time I ever had to get help from my parents to get home at the end of the season due to being broke!

Also the former friend I mentioned above wasn't the worst enemy I made, just the only one I don't really dislike anymore. The worst would be a certain commissioner of the  FHL (not saying his name, but as a clue, his character's last name starts with the letters "CON") who LIED to both me and everyone in the league by saying it was a "free league," then banning me for taking him up on those words by exposing truth about him!

More sad news, we got 4 more years of Obama-Lama-Ding-Dong.

First off, what I DON'T have to be thankful for:
-My employer fucking me out of much of my year-end driving pay, causing me to go home broke at the end of the carnival season
-The dishonesty of a certain GM of the  fhl, which is why I'm glad to be gone, and don't want back in unless he's gone
-4 more years of Obama-lama-ding-dong, though Romney wasn't that great of a choice either, meh.
-Having to cancel my trip to  f3con due to my boss fucking me (not the con's fault remotely, totally my boss's)

What I DO have to be thankful for:
-My family who helped me get home and still loves me for who and what I am.
-My ever-growing circle of furry friends despite a couple of new enemies, sad that I haven't met most of them (the friends that is) IRL, but someday that may change, hopefully.

For the 3rd time in 5 years, by boss screwed me in the year-end pay, leaving me without enough money to make  F3con despite registration being paid for, so unless some miracle happens, I will have to cancel my trip there. Hopefully I can find a job soon.

As of late, FA has been rejection city for me, between getting kicked out of the  fhl, having 1 of my 2 FBA draftees not make the final cut, then the other one got blackballed in the pre-draft report, so of course he wasn't drafted, making for my 2nd straight FBA draft shutout, and he probably won't get signed either, making me a total reject to that league as far as player contribution goes, despite all my best efforts. Right now, it seems that FA is poison on the self-esteem.

On Facebook, however, I now have near 700 furry friends, and am currently recieving the most love I've ever seen from any website!

Fb has become the antidote to that poison, who knew?

I can't say I would leave FA for any reason really, but I'd be lying if I said that this rejection didn't hurt.

I wasn't able to see my boss, who's supposed to be selling me her old laptop, today, and I'll be driving all day tomorrow to McAllen, TX so It would probably be Wednesday at the earliest that I can do anything with it.

As I'm no longer in the league but CREATED those characters, they will be all retired by the end of the season. The way I see it is as I created them, they shouldn't be controlled by anyone else. Higher-profile ones, I will write about why they retire. While killing off active characters is not something I like to do, I might have one die prematurely like Tim Horton did. One of them, however, will be heard from again after his FHL career is over.

Beino may think I'm a whiny bitch, but the way he reacted to me treating him the same way he's always been treating me makes me wonder who the whiny bitch really is, as he obviously can't handle his own medicine! I just got tired of being nice to him as the last time I did, he was nothing but a douche back to me. I know he's an arrogant fuck who, if you don't kiss his ass, hates your guts, so I'm not upset at all about what he did and this time he showed the whole league and not just me what running it with ego instead of brains does! Am I sorry for what I did? FUCK NO! I don't give a flying fuck who the fuck you are, when you do nothing but treat me like shit for 1 and 1/2 seasons, why should I NOT treat you like shit in return!? Shit with power is still shit no matter how you look at it!

While 1 of the league's ORIGINAL co-founders who I used to trust seems to have mostly conformed to the ways of an egotistic and overzealous official HE put into power, as has much of the league, I refuse to! If I quit, I don't think anyone else will have the balls to speak their minds to him as they don't seem to already. I know speaking my mind has gotten me hated and in much trouble in the league, but if you don't like that I'm the only GM with the balls to step up to the plate, too fucking bad! I know this zealot hates my guts, in fact, he's hated me since day 1, probably because unlike the rest of the league, I refuse to kiss his ass, or anyone else's! I feel like while I'm not an official, and no matter what I do, never will be, I'm needed to at least try to prevent tyrany because without me, I think the league would be totalitarian except for the All-Star Game.

To officials who read this, remember that this journal is on MY turf and not yours, nor will it be linked on your turf. I'm not asking anything of the other GMs besides growing the balls to speak up when they think something ain't right or can be improved so I don't have to keep taking bullets for you, only for you to scrutinize me for it! Also, if you look at the FBA, 1 guy is in charge there, and he listens to his GMs when they have ideas way more than the FHL board does. That's something to think about.

Last night, I got totally fubar on a hit of acid and 3 bowls of pot while watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for the 1st time. When I laid down to crash, I felt like I was in that movie, yet had my best night's sleep in years!

- The story was originally meant to bring closure to Green Bay Tundra founder's stroke.
-The location was inspired by how I used to always vacation in Door County, WI as a kid (which at 1 point, is even played off of).
-It is good to note that I 1st created Maynard Von Schnauzer on Furcadia 13 years ago and he was best known for running the Furcadian Wrestling Federation, originally as BassMan the II (long story behind that).
-I did not originally plan to put any kind of yiff or romance into it. That was made on impulse while writing the tweet it 1st happened in, oddly enough, but it did open doors for what followed (my autism does much for my creativity).
-As Marty Walnut and Mark Bell both spent most of their careers with the Tundra, they had to be at the funeral.
-Like me, Maynard grew up Catholic and while he's currently a non-denominational Christian, he trusts the spiritual advice of priests. Having  angelbearoh on his team though, he felt he also needed to hear from him as angels are God's official messengers.
-All locations mentioned except the ShopKo Center, the Norse Star Skate Shop, Olga's house, and the University of Wisconsin-Door County are REAL.

Also fun fact: While Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay, WI serves some of the best breakfast in Door County, their main claim to fame is the goats they put up on their grass roof, which has even been shown on the Food Network. Don't believe me? Do a Google image search on the restaurant. No goats were harmed in the making of that restaurant or my story.

With the story I've been telling in the  fhl forums lately, I can probably make it into a good furry romance novel. Any ideas for a title? Here are the important details.

Settin: After a week and 1/2 of spending time with the Karlson pack (wolves) in Door County, WI due to Green Bay Tundra founder Johan Karlson having a stroke, Johan's neice Olga goes into heat and lets go of feelings she's had for Tundra GM Maynard Von Schnauzer by seducing him at the pack's memorial howling for Uncle Johan.

Main Characters:
Maynard Von Schnauzer (Male schnauzer), General Manager of the Green Bay Tundra.
Olga Karlson (female timberwolf), Heir to Johan's Norse Star Skate Shop, and has had a secret crush on Maynard since she was a pup.
Helga Karlson (female timberwolf), Olga's sister who plays for the Tundra. She's the only living fur who knew about Olga's crush, but like a good sister, has kept it secret to everyone.

An ongoing story in the  fhl's forums (player tweets section in FHL Chat) about the death of my team's founder, and his funeral in Door County, WI (an area I actually know more about than Green Bay as I used to vacation there every year as a kid). As you might expect, a lot of it's quite deep, but has some light moments too.

The other thing keeping me busy is the East Texas State Fair where I'm making good money. The MLP Trivia contest is still going (see my last journal) so if you remember any of the 80's My Little Pony, feel free to take a crack at it, at least for fun. I recently recieved word that after spending nearly a week in the hospital, legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong passed away today.
He was a man who did what many thought wouldn't be done by becoming the 1st man to land on the moon in 1969, a true American hero and icon. He will surely be missed. May he rest in peace.
