What I'm Thankful For
Posted 2 hours agoI usually don't do these kinds of things, but I wanted to share two things and how thankful I am for each of them, and to encourage some friends to do the same.
1) My friends. I am thankful for my friends who continue to encourage me and check on me every single day. I am also thankful for their support when I need them, and I will cherish their friendships for the rest of my life.
2) What I have worked to own so far in life, and by extension, my great-grandmother. I am thankful to my great-grandmother, may she rest in peace, Without her I wouldn't have been able to work hard towards what I now have in life, which is more than what I can say for most of my family's current generations. I own a house, I own a car and make no payments on it besides insurance, and I am able to purchase my own food and save for expenses.
You all are awesome, and I hope the rest of you have a safe Winter and happy holidays. ^^

Fridge Went Out
Posted a month agoSo bad news... my fridge went out a while ago, and it's only now a problem for me, so I need to scrounge up some money to either pay for one outright or pay it off over time on a credit card.
So out of desperation I'm gonna be opening up for commissions until I can pay for one.

Feeling really good, so I'm gonna be opening up a few commission slots for over this weekend. I'm hoping to save up and either get me a Nintendo Switch 2 (just to see if there are any exploits for homebrew purposes), or maybe something else on the side. I know there are others to whom I owe some work outside of commissions, and I will work on those when I can! I just need to keep at it and not get myself too down!)

In case you don't have BlueSky, here's the breakdown:
Renders: $15 (extra characters $+10, up to 2, my characters are $5 off!)
Backgrounds: price varies, but more complex = higher price
BASIC Fluid Simulation: $10-15
Things NOT Mentioned On the Sheet:
Animations: Starting at $4/second ($60 for a 15 second animation, extra characters raise final price by 40%) (RENDER LIMIT FOR ME IS 2K RESOLUTION. SEE RULES BELOW)
$15 Upcharge for renders at or greater than 8K Resolution (7680 x 4320)
RULES:
1a) For renders, payment is required in-full from the moment the final render is sent and commissioner is happy. This render will first be sent at a lower resolution for the commissioner's approval before the full-resolution render can begin. The commissioner then will receive full-res versions of their renders.
1b) For animations, payment is required up front! No exceptions! Animations take significantly longer to render (along with other factors like background, addition of fluid sim, character model complexity/polygon count, etc), and my limit for these is at maximum 2K resolution (2560 x 1440), so I cannot afford to dilly-dally and complete the animation before sending it off for the commissioner's approval. For this reason, anyone who orders a commission is required to bring an in-depth idea! The more detailed an idea, the better I can execute! GIVE ME DETAILS!!
2) Commissioners can ask for the status of a commission with modesty. Unfortunately I do still have a full-time job and hobbies outside of here, so those take more precedence over commissions. However, a check at least once a week is tolerable if I am taking a while.
3) Fluid sims are still basic and require tweaking. If a commissioner is unsatisfied with the result of the fluid sims in their animations or renders, they may request to take it out with the cost deducted from the final price. So if an animation costed $75 with a fluid sim and they are not happy, I can completely remove it and the animation will then cost $60.

Medical scare
Posted 8 months agoSo for those of you I did not keep up with personally, I went to the ER last night to confirm if I have been having heart palpitations the last two to two and a half weeks. It has been confirmed, so I'm making some alterations to my lifestyle to better myself and manage them better. The very first step above diet and exercise is managing my stress. With the direction the world is heading in it's hard for me not to be stressed. And an emergency room visit did not help that one bit. Anxiety is also big in my life right now, but obviously I'm not gonna be stupid enough to do anything rash.
Once again, managing stress is gonna be priority #1 for me at this time. Managing my dietary intake and exercising more will be very close seconds.
I am optimistic I can manage these though! At least I confirmed for myself what has been happening.

Possible Commissions + Happy New Year!

I hope people are celebrating safely and responsibly.
I am hoping this year will treat me better. Just this last month alone has been a real roller coaster; dealt with car troubles that caused me to have my car towed home, and luckily my bandmates helped me out in repairing one of the issues, though I know one issue still remains, I need to source the part to fix it and get more time away from work.
Speaking of work, a lot of you may or may not know I am working a full-time job, and have been for the last six and a half years, almost. But it occurred to me all throughout last year that even though I'm getting paid decently, it's starting to become unbearable working a job everyday, and seeing most of your paycheck go towards lot rent (I live in a mobile home trailer park), mortgage, and bills and seeing only a small bit of revenue sitting in your bank account. That's why I'm throwing around the idea of possibly opening up for 3D commissions, and maybe some writing commissions in the future, assuming the motivation isn't hampered like it has been throughout most of last year. I am still throwing around the idea, and not even sure if it will work considering that there are a few stipulations that one would need to follow (like providing me with a model to use, and only accepting payments through PayPal or something). That and I am also hoping that the game consoles I put up in my journal almost two weeks ago will appeal to someone here, cause that would be a huge stimulus for me for even a month.
Regardless, I hope things will continue to turn out well. Not sure how the next four years will hold out, but holding out hope.

Selling Consoles if Interested
Posted 11 months agoHey all, looking to make a little extra money so I'm selling some game consoles to try and make them back.
Prices are FIRM! I am looking to get at least SOME money back! Payment can be discussed, and shipping costs will be handled by me. All systems will be WIPED, and anything (controllers, accessories, etc.) with lithium batteries included will be DRAINED to minimize damages before shipping!
If a console is marked as ON HOLD that means that someone has interest and is in queue to purchase it. You may still ask if you can purchase it, but only if the person in front of you declines! (Don't fret. For the Switch there's almost as many of the things in circulation as there are PlayStation 2 consoles.)
1) Xbox Series S (512GB) (White) - $500
(Since this is the All-Digital model, no games are included, and you cannot use an external DVD or Blu-Ray drive to use on the console)
- Power cable available only on request (only reason is when I bought it, it had a power cable meant for Spain power grids [220V I believe], so if you have a figure-8 power cable lying around, then you're all set)
- No HDMI cable
- 1 Controller included (Uses AA batteries, but also works as a wired controller using a USB-C cable)
- 1TB C50 SSD Card
- Xbox Wireless Headset included (also makes for a great Bluetooth headset in a pinch! Just gotta make sure you immediately shut off your Xbox when turning the headphones on)
2) PlayStation 5 (Original - Launch Model) - $900
- Current FW 8.20 (Only relevant if looking to jailbreak the PS5, which at present is not possible on the current firmware. But advancements are rumored to be in the works after the 7.61 BD-JB exploit)

- 3 Controllers (2 White and 1 Black) and a random USB-C cable for connecting to the console on first-time start-up
- Included with the controllers is a charging stand that fits two DualSense controllers

Posted a year agoI know I haven't posted as much as I have here, things have been rather tight financially. But while I am on my three-years-overdue vacation, I wanted to write that it is in fact my birthday.
I don't really have anything planned to post, nor am I expecting anything. I will be busy visiting my parents today, which I'm not really looking forward to. But I'm gonna make the best of it how I can!

i'm not feeling very well mentally. i've hit a deeply depressive episode today and need to take a break.
i will be back when i'm ready. rest assured i am fine, and i am never resorting to anything rash. but i will be disabling my fa until i am ready to come back.
for those with whom i'm friends on discord, i've disabled my notifications, so don't try to reach out to me right now. i need this time for myself. not that anyone's tried to reach out very much over the past few months.

I wish everybody here a happy and safe day.
As some of you know through socials, I've been very, very distant over the last four days. My great grandma, whom I had been living with for a while and who had recently gone into a senior home, recently went to her deathbed. She has been in quickening decline these last few days, and Saturday I said my final goodbyes.
I will mourn, and continue to mourn for a long time. But after help from friends and self-reflection, what memories I've had with her have been nothing but pleasant.
She first introduced me to the PlayStation, and one of the very first games I ever saw was the original Rayman. Still was never able to beat it, way too hard for me. Haha
That tangent aside, she did a lot for me and my dad through my entire life, and through his own entire life, cause my dad's parents were nothing but soulless to him. And even as they're visiting with great-grandma for the final time, it brings sickness to my stomach.
But I know my great-grandma has a place reserved in Heaven, and God (in whatever form He appears in) will look after her. Of that I'm certain.
Today is a day to celebrate. I hope you all have a fantastic day! I have to get up and get ready for work though! See y'all 'round the bends!

Now for something a little more sad... Content warning.
As some of you know through socials, I've been very, very distant over the last four days. My great grandma, whom I had been living with for a while and who had recently gone into a senior home, recently went to her deathbed. She has been in quickening decline these last few days, and Saturday I said my final goodbyes.
I will mourn, and continue to mourn for a long time. But after help from friends and self-reflection, what memories I've had with her have been nothing but pleasant.

deactivating twatter
Posted 2 years agoAs the title implies, I'm deactivating my Twatter account, and it will be gone within 30 days.
I was nowadays mostly using it to try and get commissions from artists and just browse.
But now it's just become a personal source of ire for me, and it's something I need to cut out of my life.
So come October 15th, my Twitter will be no more.
That's all.
