Where to Upload NSFW vids?
General | Posted 6 years agoSo I’m making a quick “Making Of” video for one of my NSFW drawings. but I’m looking for some place I can upload it, preferably non-public (via link only. Obviously YouTube won’t take it, and since FA still can’t into webm, I was wondering if anybody knew an alternative service to post the video - that isn’t PornHub or some other exclusively porn website like that.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
2000 Watcher drawing - Suggestions?
General | Posted 6 years agoHey everyone! It just dawned on me that I’m getting closer and closer to reaching the 2000 watchers here on FA - it’ll still take a while to reach there for sure, but I really want to draw something to commemorate it once it happens and make sure I have ample time to do it.
So here’s an open question for everybody: what do you think would make a good 2000 watcher picture? I want to make this an open question rather than a poll cause I want to be open to any sorts of ideas. So whatever you think would make a good commemoration I’d love to hear it!
Also, big thanks to everyone who commented on my “Feedback Round-Up” journal. Your thoughts were very helpful to me! (Everyone’s still welcome to leave theirs at the journal here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9149752/ )

Feedback Round-up
General | Posted 6 years agoBassy here! Have you got a few minutes? If so, I would like to welcome you to a little round of feedback about my artwork!
Once in a while I make journals asking people what they think of my work, but this time I wanted to try something a bit different by offering a small group of questions. Please answer them truthfully. Your opinions about my artwork are very helpful and always appreciated!
1. In a technical sense, what would you say are the biggest strengths of my artwork? (Technique, character anatomy, use of color, etc.)
2. Likewise, what would you say are my weaknesses and/or most common mistakes?
3. Do you think I should stick to how I do things now or that I should be more experimental now and then? If so, what do you think I could experiment with?
4. What's your favorite thing about my artwork? (IE style, subject matter, anything you can think of)
5. Likewise, what is your least favorite thing about my artwork?
If you have any other comments about my work that aren't covered in those questions, feel free to share them. I'd be happy to read them!

Presenting: "Star Harem"
General | Posted 6 years agoLast year I mentioned in my journals a project that I was involved in that I couldn't say much about. Well, as of today, I am now allowed to share it!
For the last months I've been working as one of the artists for "Star Harem", a multi-media space-opera saga set in a hyper-sexualized, BDSM-themed universe! Headed by "
mystalker", it's planned to include a series of written stories and a currently in-development computer game. The whole project it's still in its early phases, but you can find out more about it in its official Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/StarHaremIn.....ctive/overview
Due to a mixture of circumstances, my future involvement with the project is uncertain. However, I feel pretty happy with my contribution to the project. Save for certain in-game illustrations, I'll be soon posting all the artwork I've made for Star Harem here in my FA gallery.
Because I'm not officially a spokesperson for the project I won't be actively promoting it on my journals, so if it gets your attention, make sure keep an eye on the Patreon page!

Picking up the Pace
General | Posted 6 years agoGood news is, the pain is gone for the most part, to the extent I can now draw for many hours without issues - not the same ammount as my usual work hours, but at least enough to get things done.
For the next few weeks I'll be dedicated, aside from my usual projects such as Windborn, to finishing some drawings I left hanging all month long, the first few of which I'll be posting today. How fast all remaining ones come out depend on whether my recovery is finished by then or not.
Thanks again for everyone's wishes! I'll keep you all updated.

Getting There + Art Trade Update
General | Posted 6 years agoHey everyone! Bassy again. First of, a big thank you for all your good wishes. It seems that the inflamation is started to fade off and I've been able to draw for short periods once again. If all goes well, I should be back in full force in another week or two. That said, you might get to see new work from me sooner than that, depending on how my recovery goes!
Second, I've decided to update my status on Art Trades, which went from flat-out NO to now being MAYBE. And by MAYBE, I mean something along the lines of "YES, but only occasionally and under certain conditions, the most important being that I'll only trade drawing for drawing. Thus, no written work." If this sounds a little vague, you're welcome to write me a comment or note to ask for more info.
That'd be all for now. Will keep you all updated on my condition in the next weeks!

Art Innactivity Due to Health Concerns
General | Posted 6 years agoHi everyone! Bassy here again, dropping by to letting you all know that for next few weeks, possibly all of April, you won't see any new art from me (with the exception of what I post today) due to a few concerns on a medical condition I've been putting up with for the last month.
Just to dispel some worries, no, it doesn't seem to be anything life threatening. Just an inflamation in my right chest area quite possibly caused by - oddly enough - drawing too much. I've already been taking medicine for it, but after not feeling much improvement, I've decided to hold back from drawing to see if the aching fades off that way, just to rule out any other, scarier possibilities.
To those who follow my comic, Windborn, I will keep posting any finished pages every week as usual, with no plans to announce a hiatus on it yet. Keep in mind however that this could change at any moment, so stay tuned.
Thanks for reading! I'll make sure to let you all know if things get better soon. Until then!

Sponsored Art will be Discontinued
General | Posted 6 years agoHey all. I was originally going to write a longer journal about this, but instead I'm just gonna be brief, and maybe a little blunt.
Just as it says on the title, I'll no longer continue doing "Sponsored Art".
There's a handle of reasons why, but it all boils down to this: it just didn't work out as well as I hoped. The whole idea was experimental to begin with and the experiment just wasn't a success.
Sorry to anyone who was genuinely interested in it, and a big thank you to those who sponsored some of the ideas I offered! Your support was greatly appreciated.
In case anyone asks, I dunno what'll do with the unfinished ideas from the lists. Most likely will be forgotten since there's already a bunch of drawing ideas that I find more appealing now, although I may still do a few of the older ones down the road. No promises, however.
If you have further questions or thoughts on this, you're as welcome as to share them!

A lil' help from old Tumblr followers
General | Posted 6 years agoHey there! I wanted to ask a little favor from anyone who used to follow me on tumblr before the porn purge from last year.
Turns out there was one single drawing from my blog that I only posted there, never posted elsewhere and somehow no longer have saved in my hard drive (or elsewhere at all). The drawing in question was an updated version of an older pic of Darel from Kulipari - the first one from this group: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/24143859/
Same pic, only fully shaded and with a background added. If any of you managed to save it and can share it back with me I'd appreciate it like you have no idea!
Thanks for your time and have a good one~
UPDATE: Big thanks to
ultilix for retreiving that pic! Sadly it may have suffered from compression, so if anyone else managed to grab the pic in better quality I'd be sincerely thankful as well.

General | Posted 7 years ago Attention! In March 4th I will be updating the list of Sponsored Art with new drawing ideas. However, only couple of old ideas will reappear in the next list. The rest will be thrown out and become unavailable (I won't draw them even if someone ofers to sponsor them).
If there are any ideas from the current list you'd like to sponsor, this may be your last chance to do so! You can find the curren list here: https://pastebin.com/yMT1Rhyy And send me a PM if you are interested in any.

Sponsored Art - price cuts AGAIN!
General | Posted 7 years agoAnoher quick update on Sponsored Art! So it's pretty clear that interest in the concept is there, but not so much the budget from sponsors.
So as a compromise, I decided to lower the prices for most drawings once again! I may have a gotten a little carried away with the initial ones anyway. XP
Once again, cou can find the current price (and the previous one), in the list here: https://pastebin.com/yMT1Rhyy

Sponsored Art and co-payments
General | Posted 7 years agoHey there! Ever since I started Sponsored Art a few people have asked me if it's possible to split the price of a drawing amongst many people instead of having one single person pay for all of it. The answer is explained in the rules above the drawing list, but since I was possibly not clear enough about it, I wanted to make a quick journal to address that.
In short, yes! You and other people who want to sponsor the same drawing can split the payment for it in whichever ammount you agree amongst yourselves. Let's say for instance there's a $150 drawing. You can either pay all of it yourself, or pay $75 yourself and $75 someone else. Or pay $100 and let other two people pay $25 each. Anything's valid as long as the full price is covered.
The only condition is that I have to receive the complete payment from everyone at the same time, or to be more precise, within the same day. This is to avoid any complications that may arise from reimbursing many people at once, specially with how Paypal fees work, in the event one or more people aren't able to cover their share.
If you're gonna cooperate with someone else to sponsor a drawing, I really recommend you to get in touch and organize before going ahead with paying for a drawing. It would make things a lot more convenient not just for me, but also for you!
For those who might be interested, these are some of the people who are willing to pay a portion of my sponsored drawings:
For idea #5 - "Banjo x Laylee in bed":
Armeddesertfox
For idea #12 - "MLP Dragoness group pic"
antoniokontos,

"Sponsored Art" - Q&A
General | Posted 7 years agoBassy here! If you were brought here through the image's description, then
you already know my "Sponsored Art" proposal is finally here!
(If you saw this journal first, you can check out the drawing here,
just so you can get back to this journal again :P)
For transparency and to make things clear for anyone interested,
I've made this Q&A journal. Please take the time to read it!
What is "Sponsored Art"?
"Sponsored Art" (formerly "Sponsored Fanart") is a list of detailed drawing ideas, most of them NSFW
fanart, that viewers can pay for, that is to "sponsor", to see being turned into a real picture by me.
How does it work?
Simple. You browse the list of ideas that I'll link at the bottom. You pick an idea that you'd like
to sponsor and send me a PM telling me which idea you'd like to see me draw. After I receive
payment for it, I'll begin working on the drawing until it's finished! (For more details on the
process, read the rules at the top of the list - link at the bottom of this journal).
Are they commissions?
Not exactly. Sponsors wouldn't be able to ask for their own ideas to be drawn, nor insert
them into the ones listed. These are all pre-thought ideas that sponsors can pay for if
they're genuinely interested in seeing them drawn just as they are.
Why do it?
So my viewers can have an opportunity to make more of my artwork possible, which at this
moment is in a bit of a rut due to all the workload from my other projects. I'm hoping that
the ideas appeal to the tastes of my viewers, particularely those who can no longer
commission me, as a way to see more contect that they enjoy from me.
How much does it cost?
Each drawing has a different pricing based on its complexity.
Drawings are listed from the most affordable to the more costly.
How long does it take for the drawing to finish?
It varies on the drawing. ETA can range from 3 days to 2 weeks and a half.
Are the finished drawings going to be paywalled?
Absolutely not! Once finished, drawings will be posted on my
FA gallery and be free for everyone to see for free.
Will this make you stop drawing personal art?
Not at all! Most of these ideas are ones I planned to draw for free. However, due to
the lack of spare time I have to do them, I am unable to work on any of them without
any compensation. I still have some ideas that I intend to draw by myself without any
sponsorship, but they will take a while to be realized.
Will there be more ideas in the future?
Depends on how succesful this first list becomes. If it does well, I might make a new list
with whole new ideas that are similar to past ones, or even rotate them in each updated list.
Do you take suggestions for ideas?
I might in the near future depending on how viewers respond to this first list.
Sponsored Art is right now pretty much an experiment, so if you have
any comments, questions and feedback about it, you're more
than welcome to share them directly with me.
You can read the current list of drawings HERE!
Hope you all enjoy!

General | Posted 7 years agoFor those who may be interested, you can now also find me and my artwork at SoFurry.com! You can find the link at the "Contact Information" of my front page...or, you can just lick HERE
I'll still continue uploading my artwork here on FurAffinity as always without any changes whatsoever, so those who don't wish to follow me there, worry not! You're not gonna miss out anything, except maybe by bitchin' front page banner. ;P
In other news, thanks to the positive response of my "Sponsored Fanart" proposal, I've decided to go ahead and write a list of fanart ideas you can sponsor. Expect to see it in the very near future!
That's all for now. Toodles~

"Sponsored Fanart": Looking for Opinion!
General | Posted 7 years agoBassy here again, this time with a question for all my watchers out there. Or rather, a proposal of sorts.
The proposal is called "Sponsored Fanart".
What's it all about? To sum it up, it's list of fanart ideas that I'd write down in detail for viewers to openly read. Then, should they be interested, a viewer or viewers could pick an idea they'd like to see drawn and pay for it, or "sponsor", in order for me to draw it.
Is it commissions? Not exactly. The ideas would be all mine and I'd not allow a whole lot of creative input from the sponsor. It is up to me of course to give ideas that are attractive to my viewers, specially if they include the type of content they've known me for, IE, certain characters, species, fetishes, etc.
What type of ideas do you have? So far, a quick summary of some of the ideas I have are these: characters from Kung Fu Panda, My Little Pony, Kulipari, Banjo-Kazooie, Zelda and Rio. Kinks involved range from simple, tasteful pin-ups to bondage, foot/paw, orgy, incest, domination, size-difference, etc. These among many, many others. In other words, the same stuff I'm known for drawing and more!
Is it paywalled content? Absolutely not! Once finished, drawings will be posted on my FA gallery and be free for anyone to see. Also, everyone would be welcome to sponsor my drawing ideas, instead of limiting it to a small ammount of people.
Why do this? Basically, because I have so many ideas that I'd like to work on on my spare time, but haven't been able to due to my current workload, mostly coming from my webcomic, and also to allow viewers who have wanted to commission me a chance to see more of the content they like.
How much would it cost? Each drawing idea would have a fixed price. As an encitement though, I would make sure to keep the prices fair and affordable. Ideally, I'd price each drawing a little under what I'd work for as a normal commission, to make up for the lack of creative control from sponsors.
How long would the drawing take to be finished? It'd vary in the pic. However, with money involved, I'd make it a priority to finish it within a good timeframe, no more than two weeks from payment, with options for the sponsors to demand a refund if I do not meet deadline.
Before I even think about writing down such list, however, I really want to hear your opinion about this. Depending on the response, I'll either go ahead and offer fanart ideas for viewers to sponsor or outright scrap the idea and only work on fanart, and personal art in general, merely during what spare time I can find. The last thing I want is make any of my viewers upset with this so I want to make sure there is genuine interest in it before going ahead with it.
Feel free to let me know your thoughts down below. And if you have any more questions, you're welcome to ask them!

Back in Business!
General | Posted 7 years agoAnd so, after some enjoyable holidays that may or may not have been followed by an 8 hour flight delay and a stomach infection, Bassybird is back to the drawing tablet! Not with one, but three new drawings to get the ball rolling again.
A quick few updates on my side-projects:
• For those who follow my webcomic Windborn, remember that Verse 2 starts tomorrow. There'll also be a small news post on the official website with some important info about the comic's updates. Don't forget to check it out!
• There is a new collaborative furry project that I've just become a part of. There isn't much I'm allowed to say about it yet, except that it's gonna be very, very smutty. More info about it in the near future~
And needless to say, I have a long-ass list of drawings, mostly fanart, that I want to get done for this year...hopefully. Call it a resolution of sorts, hah.
Hope you're all having a good 2019 so far!

Shutting down tumblr + Hello new watchers!
General | Posted 7 years agoBassy here! As many of you may know already, tumblr is banning all NSFW content starting on the 17th of this month. I decided not to wait for that date. I will manually shut down my tumblr blog myself this Monday, which is December 9th.
I don't know what will happen to all the alt. versions posted on tumblr that I've linked to from here, but in the event they are wiped off, I have them backed up and will make sure to repost them here.
On an additional note, I'd like to say hello to everyone of my tumblr followers who came to watch on FA! I frankly wasn't expecting so many of you, so I'm really happy and flattered to see you here. Thank you and I hope you continue enjoying my work as always.~
Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a nice December!

General | Posted 7 years agoSo I'm only at episode 3 of Kulipari Dream Walker, but FUCK I have sooooo many good ideas already of who and what to draw that I don't know where to start.
I don't want to rush anything so bear with me, frog fans. I really want to make something hot and awesome from this show, even if takes a while.~

A question on variants
General | Posted 7 years agoBassy here! Here's another question for those here on FA. When it comes to a drawing with multiple versions, which do you prefer - seeing all variants posted separately or post only one version and link to the variants in the comments?
This is something I've been debating on and kind of experimenting with for a while. Here on FA, I usually prefer to post a single version of a drawing and, if it has variants, link to them in the comments - with the ocassional exception. It's not as practical, but in my opinion it makes the gallery a bit less of a clutter.
But what are your thoughts on that? Do you have a preference? Or are you indifferent to that? I'd like to know down below!
And also, when it comes to drawings with SFW and NSFW versions, which should be the one posted if I were to only pick one? I think posting the NSFW one and link to the SFW is a safer idea, since in the opposite you'd be basically providing a link to a porn straight from a clean image. But what do you think?

Feathursday hypothetical sequel - possible ideas?
General | Posted 7 years agoHere's a random thought - if I were to make a sequel to my Feathursday image series, what sort of spin should I give it?
By this I mean not just post a normal picture of a bird character posing in an abstract background like the older series was all about it, but also add something to it, like a theme of sorts.
The first idea I had was simply make it an NSFW series, with every bird character doing a sexy pose. But seeing that's what I normally do anyways it'd make it redudant.
So what do you think would work best for a new Feathursday series? If it's NSFW, would it be a particular kink? IE masturbation, bondage, genderbent, swimsuits, tentacles, etc. etc.
If it was SFW like the last one (mostly) was, what kind of theme would you add to to it? For example, drawing non-avian characters as birds, drawing feral birds as anthros, and so on. Let me know what you think!
NOTE: I am NOT planning to make a new Feathursday series anytime soon! It may seem like it, but this is just a random musing/thought exercise, so please don't get the wrong idea. Don't expect a new Feathursday anytime in the near future.
