Relaciones Peligrosas - Dangerous Relationships
Posted 13 years agoWho else has seen this? I first started watching this, it was the episode when Alejandro first came into this series and so far I haven't been able to get enough of this. Also in that episode, one of the main episodes committed suicide so it's a bit more.... graphic than some other soaps, but then again, it's all about a group of people in college so it's a bit more modern than what those of us that think of soaps is about. I've also been thinking about this a lot while I've been watching this, but why does it feel like American soaps are so deliberate and heavy in their acting? Relaciones Peligrosas is nothing like that for some reason. It's much more realistic in it's setup, composition, and storyline to me. When you think of a soap set in Miami, you would think it's nothing but drugs and sex with 20 somethings, but it's more than that. it's about people in college that are not only coming to grips with their sexuality, but also trying to work through family and social problems. The composition pertains mostly to the composition of the shots and actors. The lighting is nothing like in an american soap. In american ones, the lighting looks to be so forced that it's like it's really shot in a studio and not like it's shot in a house, or on the street like Relaciones Peligrosas is. The actors are also more relaxed and fluid in their motions, making a more realistic story than others just because it doesn't look like it's trying to be something it's not. The storyline is also something to take note of. Yes it does follow the standard set of rules for soaps like death, comas, and family problems, but there's also more to the stories that make the death have a large impact and the coma be so realistic. And yeah it's a bit dramatic, but again, it's not like it's FORCED to be dramatic.

Thinking about making videos for song quizzes
Posted 13 years agoWhat do you guys think about me putting videos on youtube of me whistling songs as a quiz to see if you guys can guess what they are? There will be no music to accompany me, so that was you can't just listen to the song and ID it. I know I've done that a lot and that's really how I get my new music.
I'll only do like one song a week or something for starting out. I don't really like how Youtube is so strict with their stuff so more than likely my videos will be unlisted. If they let them stay, then I'll change them to public, but it'll have to be a case by case basis on that.

Late Night Exploring
Posted 13 years agoWell to me at least, tonight was pretty eventful even if it was just a 50 mile car ride at 3am. XD
My friend had been drinking tonight and so I took his keys away from him so he wouldn't be getting any tickets, so we went to walmart at about.... 2am this morning. After that we were almost home and he tells me, "dude, just ride around and let me get one of these cigarettes." I said ok and then the idea hit me to show him where one of my friends used to live. If anyone here knows Autauga county in Alabama, then you know how massive the county road network is. From where I live (around Chris' Barbecue) it was exactly a 49.9 mile/2 hour journey. We bypassed home (i.e. drove past it) and immediately went down county road 21. The whole reason to show my friend this was to show him the farm that a friend of mine used to live at I don't know where he lives now, but it's still a pretty cool place to see. I remember the first time I saw the place, I nearly drove clear past it. xD Anyways, it was about a good half hour drive out there to the farm and all the way I was telling my friend about the first time I had taken that drive and about the interesting facts about that road.... such as all the cool houses out in that part of town because no one really messes with anyone and everyone has firearms and trucks. ^^'
As we got there, I noticed that I had forgotten EXACTLY where the place was, but I had remembered the way there, and I drove clean past it like I did the first time. So after a quick turnaround, we realized that someone else was now living there and they had started putting up a rather high fence and new insulation. So we started driving back and I was telling him about how I used to drive down the road all fast and stuff, but now I was driving nice and easy (mellowing out FTW!), but I was still going 75 in a 45..... I don't know it just didn't feel all that fast to me, but then again the only small car I had driven were a PT Cruiser with Mopar's annoying lack of feedback in ANY definition of the word when you want to press any pedals, and a (at the time of ownership) 15 year old Ford Escort LX sport wagon that didn't know when to downshift, nor how to go over 55 mph. at the halfway point of getting to the farm my friend had to stop to relieve himself, so I pulled over, but as I was pulling off the road, we heard and felt this alarming popping sound and we both got out to check the tires and if we ran over anything. We couldn't find anything and the tires were all fine for the rest of the trip, but we're not out of the woods yet with them. There's still the morning after.
Anyways, as we were going back to the house, I had this cool thought of goind down another county road that I knew and passed a lot in the past. It had Autauga Academy located on it so I thought it wouldn't be too far of a drive so I took it. On that road is a house with the biggest deck I have seen next to a half million dollar lake house. I'm serious it's that flippin' huge O-O and the estates on that road is massive, but I still wouldn't try to rip one of them off. They are out of police jurisdiction so I think you might get your face blown off if you tried to rip someone off. Anyways as i was driving I began looking for a place to turn around since I was finally getting tired and my friend had fallen asleep in the passenger seat. I was going up the side of a hill and then found a little pull off on the shoulder that turned out to be an abandoned development. What had happened was the man who owned the property paved the roads there, but then went bankrupt, so the place just sat there with overgrown lots. My friend knew this place well and told me that this was also the place that he went to drink alcohol with a friend of his. I had no idea that THIS place was the place, but the view of it had cuaght us BOTH off guard. From that one turnoff, you could see the entirety of Prattville, Alabama. It looked magnificent in the night's darkness and shown like a city 3 times its size.
Right when I saw that view, I knew of the first place I was going to show my boyfriend before we hit the sheets, and I know he's probably going to have the same reaction I had. Just when we see it' it will be with only us two and probably after dinner as well. X3

Trying to draw again...
Posted 13 years agoAnd I'm realizing just how long and hard it is. And I remember why I stopped. because I couldn't concentrate!! D:
I'm trying to draw something relatively simple. Me typing on a typewriter with the camera (viewer) coming up in front of me at about a 60 degree angle from my POV center, at about 5 feet high. this isn't going that fast, but I HAVE gotten the table drawn! :D
The table is a cross legged TV tray that I've reinforced some.... and it's really annoying to get straight lines when you're freehanding it.... still..... *growls at myself* X3

Figured something out today
Posted 13 years agoSo I still have my Acer Aspire 7741z laptop, but I haven't gotten the hard drive replaced in 2 years (Can you say slow money?) but right now I'm on my dad's (sadly), but back to mine. I realized that I could upgrade from the original Pentium P6000 processor to a Core i5 5xx processor. They're both PGA998 also called Socket G1 processors, which really amazed me. Another thing that threw me for a loop is that they're completely interchangeable, so I'm debating on whether or not that would be a nice upgrade to do once I get some form of income and get a new hard drive the lappy. Right now the only thing that I have on it that bottle necks it badly is the processor. I don't really do much, but what I do on it really works the processor and makes it struggle to keep up. Even High def video only will make it shudder some. But one bad thing about it is that it can't get a graphics proc installed aftermarket. it HAS to have a board replacement on it in order for that to happen. So it won't get amazing graphics, but it will get a slight bump in there. computing power though will increase by two fold probably. I like.... X3

Posted 13 years agoStaying up for 2 days to sleep one night. I hate this.... Why can't I sleep unless I'm completely exhausted? Why does it take me 2 days to get completely exhausted? hrrrrrrrrrrrggggg..... X3 I'll still be conscious today, but I'll just be a bit slow.

Who needs sleep?
Posted 13 years agoTook about a 4 hour nap yesterday, can't really remember how long it was to tell you the truth, but whatever. Not planning on sleeping tonight though. Accidentally stayed awake again all night (thank you night schedule) so now I'm starting to fall asleep at about 5 to 6 in the morning, but then on Thursday and Friday, I'm watching my nephew at about 7am. So instead of sleep for 2 hours a day and then whatever I feel like later on, I'm just going to stay up the rest of the day and then try to sleep at night. Now I've realized that if I'm working a job, then I'm more likely to actually fall asleep when I want them. If not, then I have to exhaust myself until I'm literally falling over myself and not being able to think. THEN I will actually fall asleep and stay asleep.

Posted 13 years agowent to sleep at 5am, got out of bed at 6:15am. Have to watch my nephew today, but I can't even keep my balance all that well and my legs are seizing like they do when I'm tired. Yep. Today's really shaping up to be one fun day! Plus I'm probably taking my mom to work too. That's always wonderful.
I also am having difficulty eating because my bottom molars are falling into the valley where my tongue is, so that's just painful, plus my insurance has a month from 3 days ago before it expires and all I have gotten from the referrral office was, "Also I noticed your referral was for Dr. Brinson. Didn't you say they reccomended Dr. Abrahms?" ....... I will stab someone in the gut and make them wait a month just to feel what I feel. I am that tired right now....

I just did that tonight. Started at midnight, shut everything down at 5am. Now everyone's starting to get up and I'm starting to go to sleep. *sighs heavily* I really need to get back on day scedule...
