Happy New Year, everyone!

Wow I really don't post any journals here....even the spider webs have more webs on them...I'm sorry, i'm not a journal guy, haha.
Still, I feel the need to say something because it seems that every new year is worse and worse than the previous one. I'm not entirely hopeful for 2025 (if at all), because i'm not sure how you beat several years of viral pandemonium and TWO wars happening at the same time. But I ALSO feel the need to try and be optimistic. A new year means we survived another 365 days, for better or for worse, so I say we try to make it for the better! It's been so tiresome that I fear we'll go insane if we don't at least try.
So let's try to put in the effort to salvage this year ourselves. Is there a personal project that you want to do? Stop thinking and do it! Is there a movie you want to watch, or a book you wanna read? Go for it! You wanna make an animation, a comic book, a game? Just do it. Make or do something to be proud of for 2025.
So I want to wish everyone a happy new year (a late Merry Christmas too), and good luck to everyone!

Hating everything you make: Just a vent
Posted a year agoLiterally what the title is. It's a vent. Feel free to ignore this, I'll be fine by tomorrow or something.
It's tough, you know. It's difficult to even put this feeling into the proper words, but it feels awful. You're working on something, and you've put hours on it and it just looks awful, hot garbage, downright mental torture to even look at. You can't even put into words WHAT about it is bothering you, but there's just something about whatever you're drawing/modelling/etc that makes you frustrated to even look at it.
It's me lately. There's always something bothering me, always something that I hate about it. And that, combined with the feeling of looking at something and going "well, you wasted your time on this that could've been better spent doing something better" doesn't make it easier. Everyone around you improves 10x faster, everyone around you learns things 10x faster, meanwhile you feel like you've finally hit your max and that you're not getting any better after years. Then you start second guessing yourself and wandering if, somewhere along the way, you didn't end up picking the wrong path and that maybe you're not suited for this. The idea to just quit and go pick a job that you hate like every normal human being.
That's it, that's the post. You may proceed with your daily lives, I just needed to vent some pressure before the volcano exploded.

Posted 4 years agoI just logged in to check messages, and I got a message saying that the account i'm trying to reach was under process of being deleted. Gave me a giant heart attack, because i DIDN'T request my account to be deleted/shutdown. But then I logged on again, and the message didn't happen.
Was this a bug in the server?

Just a heads up. I know that it doesn't look like it, because i'm honestly quite the silent uploader, but my commissions are always open! My commission info is just severely outdated, so if you're interested just send me a note and we'll get to discussing.
Prices may vary depending on character complexity, amount of characters and the theme you want drawn, but the base prices are as follows:
Uncolored sketches: 5 USD
Flat Colors: 15 USD
Fully Shaded: 20 USD
Comics CAN be drawn, but for an additional 15 USD per page on the base price. (20 if its a sketch, 30 if its flat color, 35 if its fully shaded)

Whats with the fame digital gets?
Posted 10 years agoFirst of all, i have absolutely NOTHING against those who make digital art. Heck, i enjoy both digital and traditional artwork.
What i can't understand is why people fanboy so much over digital artists. I've tried asking art trades for some people on Fa, and they don't even seem to give a reason. Nothing against preffering digital over traditional, but a reason would be nice. :<

Since last week, i keep seing a tall and thin man using somekind of social suit, like the MiB wears. he keeps chasing me, i no longer look back when i am alone, and when i am in my home's corridor, i speed up; God, I am so scared!
