Do sapient animal-people eat meat?
General | Posted 13 years agoHumans do, but we don't count. Not because we aren't sapient animal-people, we totally are. Just because we have the unique privilege of being the only sapient animal-people.
No, I'm talking about a world populated by furries.
Perhaps in a world filled with furries there would also be animals without the spark of anthropomorphic intelligence, incapable of speech and without a sense of self. But how appetizing would these creatures be if they looked like a four legged version of your neighbor Robert? Maybe they would look like cow-sized featureless slugs, so it wouldn't be too bad; but then again, slug isn't very appetizing either.
Maybe, though, seeing the commonality with all living creatures furries would be vegetarian. But then carnivorous species would be fucked.

Favoriting porn
General | Posted 13 years agoDo you favorite porn? Reflect on this.
I reserve my favorites for art that I find evocative, works that make me feel a certain way or give me a certain idea. One of the feelings I frequently get from the art on this website is sexual excitement. I find sapient animal-people hot, plain and simple. However, I used to be very reluctant to share my jerk-off material with the Internet, and still am to some extent; there is plenty of fetishy stuff that I absolutely love but have a hard time favoriting because I'm afraid of how anonymous dorks with identity issues will perceive me (for the unastute, I'm referring to my furry brethren).
Nevertheless, I'm favoriting more and more porn that I find exciting. I guess my attitude is slowly becoming: if the art is good I'll favorite it and give props to the artist, regardless of the subject material.

Practice Love
General | Posted 14 years agoIf you love yourself you will allow yourself to be loved by others.
If you love others that love will be returned.
If you love the universe it will unveil its secrets to you.
Practice love and foster compassion. Hatred and ill-will poison the mind.

A few thoughts on trolling.
General | Posted 14 years agoA few years ago I used to consider myself one, but since then I've matured and learned a few things. Now I decidedly don't like trolls. For the uninformed, a troll is an individual who deliberately posts inflammatory, disruptive, or contentious stuff on the Internet to produce an emotional response from legitimate users... or something like that.
Idiot-baiting doesn't make you smart, nor does it make you look smart.
No. It actually makes you look stupid. Profoundly stupid.
Only someone who is patently insecure about their intellectual abilities would try to bolster their sense of self-worth by ridiculing others for being unintelligent. Smart people know they are smart; they don't need to compare themselves against others because their mental abilities are self-evident to them. Furthermore, most intelligent people are too busy thinking and creating to worry about the benign mistakes other people make.
Compassion is the fruit of wisdom. Understanding people, the way things work, and the consequences of actions makes an individual kind. To arrive at wisdom one needs to be dispassionate, open minded, objective, and non-partisan. These qualities demystify the other and promote an understanding of the commonalities of humanity. When one understands just how much they share in common with other people, witnessing (and especially causing) distress will cause that person to experience the pain of the other as their own through the understanding of this commonality. Therefore only an ignorant peorson could relish in the emotional upset of others.
There are many other reasons why trolling is a contemptible act, but I need to go get some lunch.
