Babby's first con, babby's first con journal!

Short version:

Wow that was awesome thanks to everyone for making it amazing and glad I was able to meet so many people and not get overwhelmed! Let's do it again next year!

Long version:

Wow, where to begin. Not even gonna try to list out the people I met up with, but pretty much all of you were awesome.

Some more specific things:

-Whomever turned in my Skulldog badge to lost and found, you are my absolute hero. Thank you.

-Holy crap everyone was so damn friendly!

-Need to try more restaurants in the area next year, everything was so damn good, wow.

-Maybe I should go for a roommate next year, or actually go for a room in one of the con hotels.

Things I learned (several from other peoples' experiences too!):

-Don't leave a water bottle in your suitcase or you might miss your flight

-If you're going to leave a water bottle in your bag, make sure it's the one that has no porn in it

-WEAR GOOD SHOES

-The dealers den gets HOT, I blame all the PORN

-Don't test your alcohol tolerance in public, it won't end well

-It's possible to have amazing control on a glide trike in a fursuit

-Drunk friends make lots of noise at the ADP

-Volleyball girls can be fun but they can also be really mean

-My old phone GPS is bad and it should feel bad!

-I am much easier to talk to in person than I am online

-HBO sometimes airs naked women that talk about the history of sex toys and the like

-Everyone is terrible and Cards Against Humanity proves it

-Hobos want to feed the hawks

I am sure there is a LOT that I forgot and will add if I remember but this really sums it up

Great experience for a first timer, thanks to both those who help put the con together and the attendees for making it all great! I hope next year can be just as good, if not better.

Thursday morning sometime, arriving in SFO and either riding the Caltrain in or getting driven up by a friend

4) What specific plans do you have?

Mostly plan on hanging out with varying friends, might brave the Alley at varying times (especially to meet up with a few people in there though)

I've been working on this, and I want to try to be open to it, but I spook easily and may scurry off into a dark corner if surprised. Really, though, I get socially overwhelmed pretty easily so if I look distraught, take it easy.

I'll probably look like a hobo in my hobo jacket and hobo hat, though I'm planning on getting a bit nicer of a wardrobe before heading out.

9) Where can I find you?

I'll likely be with some friend or other, odds are better of running into me at random than actually going out to look for me.

Monday morning, catching the 4:30-ish AM Caltrain to SFO.

So, ages ago I found myself in NEW ZEALAND of all places which was really pretty ballin, and I wouldn't mind going back some day. There were some delightful treats I'd found over there that I thoroughly enjoyed. Many of them I've been able to find reliable sources for online that haven't cost too much, but there's one that I have not been able to find for a decent price at all, and it's all in the shipping.
