I hate to sell these but my roof is 20 years overdue for a replacement and we sprung multiple leaks in the record rain California received over the winter, and now an El Nino may be heading our way, and so I badly need to replace it, but it is going to be roughly $50k!!! I had the money almost all saved up for it, but after a sewer line disaster, a neighbor's tree limb falling on our car, having our giant mostly dead 200 year old cottonwood tree removed after it proved itself dangerous after a mere piece of it's bark punched a hole in my shed roof (I loved that tree, RIP) and having to replace the HVAC units on both the main house and the addition, all in the span of 10 months, I don't have the funds anymore.
And so, since my sister and I have mostly retired from conventions and events we are selling some of our personal costumes to scrape up a deposit for the re-roofing job so we can get the work done before rainy season hits us.

But this account might be dead, I am a year behind in posting my work and I may never find the time to catch up.

The ball cap method is something I came up with over a decade ago due to my need of glasses and issues with the usual methods of balaclavas and elastic straps setting off my claustrophobia.

It has come to my attention another maker has been using hats inside their fursuit heads and they are doing it all wrong (using small sized floppy hats with a sliding adjuster, only sewing the hood to the hat in one small spot, and not attaching the hat to the resin base at all let alone putting any foam in the gap, just one of these can lead to a disaster of a fit and this person is doing all of the above) and now I am hearing "built on a baseball hat" used in a negative way.

When I started up business a decade ago I faced some criticism for using a ball cap, told it was "wrong" because it was not a normal method, so seeing them used poorly by this newer maker and seeing people remark about the use of a hat is really bothering me, I have a proven decade of hat use under my belt, I have also seen other notable makers such as Mixed Candy using a hat for a base, so I can assure you the issue is not the idea of using a hat the issue is how a hat is being used, so here are some notes on how to use to a ball cap properly https://twitter.com/TheBeastcub/sta.....51623233298433

This was my first ever commission opening with this new rule, and having to get photos of people with their I.D. card before I can take them as a client is awwwwwwwwwkwwwwwwward and I hate it, but it's become a must now as there has been a huge influx of minors using their parent's money w/out permission and I already have been directly affected.

Ok, so, I had a minor pose as an adult to commission me and fraudulently use their mother's credit card, the paypal case has been in review for over a month and it is still not resolved, and if the case is not found in my favor I will loose the spent deposit and face some financial worry.

Ok, here's the deal, my hands are giving out on me as I have carpal tunnel and tendonitis, I physically have to do less and rest more or I end up unable to work for *days at a time* due to extreme pain, pain that is warning me I am causing permanent harm.

In addition to the physical issues certain parts of my job cause a lot of mental and emotional strain which I am just not able to cope with very well now that I've been building constantly for nearly 10 years.

So the point is I am going to have to charge more, I cannot do as much work in a day I as used to, meaning I am making less money in a day that I used to, and I am starting to burn out, the only solution is to up some of my prices.

These new prices concern bodysuits and paw pad feet, my new prices for these are honestly going to be way overpriced from now on... but dangit I need to not be making so many bodysuits these days and feet with paw pad bottoms can die in a fire.

If you want a bodysuit from me there is going to be an extra $1000 added to my current plantigrade and digigrade fullsuit prices, which heck I know you can get you a fullsuit from some makers for just $1000 and now that is way less than buying just a bodysuit alone from me.
This new price jump makes fullsuit from me in the $4000-$5000 range now.

I know these prices are insane, for custom orders you by all means can order a partial from me and make the body yourself or hire someone else, I need to focus on making less fullsuits, bodysuits bring me nothing but stress and pain these days, and rather than close for bodysuits entirely I will do them for those willing to deal with the insane price tag.

As for paw pad feet, I think I may quit offering those all together, if I keep doing them they'd be the price of a got dang head, as in $1000, as they take me nearly just as long and, well, jeebus! Heads are fun and I get at least $1000 for them whereas paw pad feet are just a huge chore X_x
