Otter chosen, how will you now proceed?
Posted a year agoYou choose “Otter.” The display screen shifts to a loading bar overlapped by the words “Change in progress.”
A gas is sprayed into your cryo-pod, upon breathing it in you begin to feel woozy and it becomes hard to stand. A prickling feeling grows on your skin as thick brown fur begins to blanket your body. Your nose feels like it’s being pressed down upon as it flattens and grows black as coal. Your ears ring as they shrink and grow round, the insides likely changing as much as the outside. Your face stretches out into a muzzle as the fur reaches over it. Your nails pop out as claws grow in to take their place. The skin between your toes and fingers stretch out into webbing. The transformation is capped off with a thick tail splitting out from the base of your spine. You slip into unconsciousness, the stress of the transformation taking its toll on you.
A few hours later you’re revived by the pod. The medical system has injected you with healing nanites. The pod warns that it only has three more uses. Afterwards it gives you a quick wash and shows you your appearance on the monitor. As you take in your new body a shelf opens to the right of you. The pod explains that it’s tailored a pair of waterproof shorts and a waterproof shirt, specifically made for your form. How you choose to dress yourself is up to you.
The pod explains that it has been dropped off in a location suited for your chosen form and will soon release you. After you’re released what happens next is up to you. If you need assistance you can return to the pod, it will function specifically for you and only you. The pod doors open up and sunlight shines through.
You step outside your pod and into a calm forest, one not too different from earth. Although, the air’s far fresher than back home, the leaves seem a bit greener, and the even sky seems a bit bluer. Near your drop-off point is a river with several pods sitting close by, littering the forest. Just a few feet away from you several otter anthros have congregated.
You could talk to them if you wish. But you could also test out your new body by taking a dip in the river, several other otters are already swimming. There’s also this massive forest around you, as long as you keep your wits about yourself there’s no harm exploring.

You Awaken From Cryosleep
Posted a year agoYou awaken from Cryosleep. You’ve been asleep for quite a long time. What seemed like a few months ago you and dozens of others agreed to an experiment. You would be transported to a new planet, one untouched by intelligent life, and then transformed into an half human animal hybrid of your choice. The purpose of this experiment was purposely kept from you, only that you’d be observed from a distance. Still, you were given the chance to start life anew.
Now that you’re awake you must make the choice of what you wish to become. A screen appears in front of you featuring a small selection of five animals.

Feedback is Appreciated
Posted 5 years agoNot too long ago I uploaded a new story . It got a decent amount of views and a fine few favorites but no comments. Now everyone is free to comment as they please but when you’re actively seeking out feedback, even if it’s probably not going to be positive, it can be a bit discouraging.
I was happy with my latest story. I wouldn’t have uploaded it if I wasn’t. But, I think I could do better if I just had some direction. Some input on what I did right, wrong, and what I can do to make my work better. So, if anyone has anything to say positive or negative, especially negative, please don’t be afraid to say something.
