Y'know
General | Posted 3 years agoFor all the works here that uses the 'living vehicle' tag and living vehicle works in general, almost none of them has someone in their cockpit or on their driver's seat. Or at least even someone in their passenger cabin.
Instead it's either none or the someone ends up either in their mouth or stomach.
Which is ironic since it pretty much doesn't show the 'vehicle' role.

My 8th Year in the Living Aircraft Community
General | Posted 3 years agoHowdy y'all. Looks like it's now 9th September at my side which means that 2022 minus 2014 equals 8!
And welp, time certainly flies. Still feeling that this is 2020 hahah. But here we are in 2022 and that means I've been here(community wise) for 8 years. And for that, a bit of a recap.
The 2021-2022 period has been an overall positive period. I made good progress on my drawing skills and had a lot of good memories with my friends :D. In this year I also opened commissions for the first time and gratefully all slots that I opened so far are all always taken! I also improved a lot on my aeromorph and humanoid drawing skills X3
Hopefully I'll do even more better this period
Anyway, that's all for this anniversarry. Toodles!

2022
General | Posted 4 years agoWelp, now we are really getting closer to the 40s lol
And hopefully this year would be more better in all aspects
Though I guess I can say that 2021 could've been more worser.
Meanwhile, I can't help but feel that the living aircraft community is getting a bit lonely as more people here are getting into college or university or getting jobs and with that they're more busy than ever or even some have seemingly ''''grown out of'''' drawing living machines.

Departing From Teenhood
General | Posted 4 years agoWell... I know this is pretty much an eventuality
But...
I don't exactly feel prepared to face that fact despite back then I've watched a lot of coming of age movies(well the only movie of that genre that I still remember was 'An Extremely Goofy Movie' which I don't think it fits the genre???). It's just that I felt it was so sudden like I feel like I just got into high school and then here I am now a university student going into the third semester. And welp, here I am now a young adult.
Though I guess I would already be considered an adult when I finally got my national ID card or if not the moment I got into university.
Not gonna lie, I don't think I exactly had the best teenhood. I was kinda reclusive through middle and high school which means I don't exactly have a lot of acquintances let alone IRL friends. I also didn't exactly followed a good half of the popular trends during the time which kinda didn't help. But I guess it wasn't exactly that bad. I kinda improved my social skills along the way so slowly but surely I was able to chat more.
Besides the IRL side of my teenhood, I'd like to talk about the internet side of things which I think feels more closer to me.
Before I became a teenager, I've been eyeing the living aircraft community since my tween years. My love for aviation and my ambition to become a pilot was the root cause of it. When I turned 13, a lot of things were changing besides my voice(lol). Got into middle school and moving to a different town to name a few. But also a month after turning 13 I opened my DeviantArt account and joined this community. And fortunately, I was welcomed very much into it and it really feels nice being among people that I can relate with despite being thousands of nautical miles away. A place where I can socialize a lot.
Heh... Kinda feels pathethic that the only place I would be able to chat a lot is only on the internet... But, better to take the wins as long as they're there so it's not a total lost I guess.
Welp, I'm now on level 20 in the age levels. I'll try to get a more higher score this time.

Someone impersonating me
General | Posted 4 years agoReview 2020 n' Happy New Year 2021
General | Posted 5 years agoFirst of all, I'm gonna review 2020.
tl;dr ver : i r8 -π/10 m8
Long version:
2020 is barely the best year for most. No thanks in particular to COVID-19. The pandemic it brought and the cruddy things it caused like almost completely shutting down aviation which led to many airlines laying off its pilots, flight attendants, and other staff, shutting down tourism and causing businesses that depend on tourism to go down, the lockdowns we have and the health protocols we have to follow, the plans that some of us have to cancel for 2020, the overall disruption of normalcy, and obviously the sufferings and deaths it has caused. My uncle, dr. Adnan Ibrahim, fell victim to it as he was a doctor and was part of the medical frontlines of this 'War'. May he rest in peace and Jannah of the highest of levels is granted to him.
Other personal cruddiness I got was, as you may have known earlier this year, I did not manage to get into pilot school... Actually, I couldn't even managed to afford pilot school. And thanks to my unrealistic optimism, I did not prepare myself to try to get into state universities which their admission tests are very hard as you might've expected. And after that, I had to settle with a private university. It's pretty good not gonna lie but if I went into a state university I won't have to worry too much about paying the tuition.
On a lighter side, my drawing skills are improving and I did lose quite a few kilograms. So I guess I have that going for me.
On a mixed side, I'm happy that I've created Byantara the Javan Leopard and I'm happy to announce that he'll start to become my main sona very soon. Unfortunately this means that Ben the B737-800 is going to be demoted from the position as my main sona to just as my planesona. I want my main sona to be more 'me' as in being in the same situation as me.
Ben won't be going anywhere though. And so are Sri and Alex. And their pilots too. And the rest of my living vehicle characters.
Anyways
Happy New Year 2021!
My only hope for 2021 is to be at least not as bad as 2020.

General | Posted 5 years agoMy comms link is unreliable since 29 May 2020. Don't really know what the heck is wrong with XL right now but I certainly don't even have 3G let alone 4G. Currently hitchhiking on another's hotspot and even that is just for me to check the news regarding the network.
Am now officially no longer a high school student

(Vent) Biggest Bummer In My Life So Far
General | Posted 6 years agoNote: This thing happened in mid February so I know this is a bit late. But I really need the time to construct this rant.
Well here we go.
I was going home from school and got in the car with mom on the driver's seat. As I finally settled in Trimy mom brought down the bombshell.
She had contact with her friend from her high school. Said friend is currently a pilot in Lion Air. She mentioned to him that I wanted to be a pilot too and I intend to apply for Angkasa Aviation Academy, Lion Air's pilot school. She said also the choice is because of an info saying that the academy offers a work contract/bond with Lion Air so technically it is free when applying and I can pay the tuition later with my paycheck when I finally become a pilot for Lion Air. A scholarship you might say.
Then he brings down this bombshell:
The academy doesn't offer scholarships and no longer offer work contracts or bonds. If anyone wants to apply, then they will have to prepare 800.000.000 rupiahs which is about 80000 USD.
A sum of cash we, by all means, don't have. Unless we sell our house which isn't a viable option anyway.
So there we have it. My dreams to be a pilot is now postponed for a long time or might very well be crushed....
... Alternatively... I guess I can try to get into state universities and get into an aviation engineering faculty and try to get a job in PT DI and save up the paycheck for pilot school...
But even with that, it is uncertain if I'll do well with the state university acceptance exams...
All of this is uncertain....
And at that moment of thinking that, I just realized
I also made the biggest mistake in my life so far without me realizing it until 7 months later.
I was proactively trying to keep my 5th semester grades in my academical "Goldilocks Zone".
High enough that I'll have a better chance to get accepted into pilot school but not too high that I would get accepted into the national selection into state universities which use only the semester grades from 1 to 5.
You might ask: "Why would Bee/Benny/Bumblebee actually do that?"
Well... I've had a number of misunderstandings on my part both on pilot school and the national selection:
- I thought that pilot school would take 4 years and if I have to go through college, which also takes 4 years, then it will take much more years until I finally become an airline pilot and I want to become an airline pilot before my 25th birthday.
Apparently the fact is, pilot schools only take an average one and a half years to go through. So with this, I can, theoretically, still be an airline pilot at 27 years old. Plus having a bachelor's degree.
- I thought that getting into the national selection was compulsory. Apparently the fact is, it is not.
So with that, here I am. And now I have to suffer the consequences of my stupid decision by having to study a lot more harder than I have to if I was accepted into the national selection.
Because my only chance to get into a state university free of charge is by getting into the Joint Selection into the State Universities(SBMPTN). For a more layman's term, the SBMPTN are the college entrance exams for state universities.
And many say that the SBMPTN is one of the hardest exams in the country.
So yeah... Even with the SBMPTN being there, my chances getting into a state university is very, very, very uncertain. And that basically makes my back up plan very shoddy.
And with that, my future is also uncertain.
Oh well... Looks like I'll have to ride it out.
Well here we go.

Busy For the First Half of 2020
General | Posted 6 years agoHowdy y'all! I thought I'd put up an update about things.
As much as I love drawing my OCs, I haven't gotten around to draw them yet this year (except Desi, of course). And, unfortunately, I might not have the chance or time to draw them at least for the first half of this year.
In February right now, I have about 14 assignments and exams I need to do. Some are just so easy that you only need a few minutes to do it and some can take probably a day to finish. Some of the assignments must be done before February ends and even before 14 February. Besides that, there will be the practical exams starting on 17 February.
Next we have March. On 09 March there will be the National-Based School Exams. The exams has almost all subjects that are taught in my class. After that on 30 March, there will be National Exams. Those exams, fortunately, will only have four subjects in it which are Indonesian, English, maths, and a choice of either biology, chemistry, or physics. Me wanting to be a pilot, of course I'll choose physics.
Last but certainly not least, April. In April, I'll either go and try to apply for pilot school and do some tests there or, if pilot school isn't a viable option for me, I'll probably do the Joint Entrance Selection for State Universities exams. The faculty I want to be in will be either aerospace engineering, architecture, or Russian literature.
So yeah, things will be very busy.
Tbh I wish I would've drawn more of Indra, Kayenta, and rest of my aircrafts' pilots. I really need to improve my humanoid drawing skills

Happy New Year 2020!
General | Posted 6 years agoHappy new year girls and lads! Looks like 2019 is now over and boy... Time sure does fly! I could've swore we were still in November hehe
Welp, here's my review of 2019:
2019 has been a pretty good year. I've improved my art skills, made new friends on dA FA and Discord, actually made friends IRL, acquire a new hobby, and to top it off, I flew on 'Ben' and 'Alex' just before the end of the decade. Beside that, my grades have improved and I have made some efforts to lose some mass. Overall, it has been a good year.
My views on 2020:
Before I go on about how I feel about 2020, I thought I'd write down the things I really need to do in 2020 here:
- Getting my BMI under 24 and, optionally, buff myself up
- Reduce my eye minus as much as possible
- Study more harder, smarter, and more focused
- Make more friends here and IRL
- Get into pilot school
With that put out, here's how I feel about 2020:
When looking at 2020, I feel excited but also scared... Well at least, I feel nervous... I feel excited because well I'm just a few months away from graduating high school and with that, the pilot school openings are also just a few months away and if I get accepted, then by mid 2020 hopefully I will get into aviation. And after around four years, I'll be a pilot flying for an airline.
But that isn't certain yet and even though I've done my best and have fulfilled their recruitment requirements, I'm still nervous that I may not be able to enter pilot school.. Whether it's because me or something... And that's why I'm rather scared, my goals are certain but the results may not be certain.
On the bright side, I guess I can still get into state universities... Although my grades are only good enough for state universities outside of Java(the island I currently live on)... Well at least I have a chance to have my university at a major city(Makassar being one of them)
But even that, there's still a thick smog of uncertainty. It's ready to throw you something that you don't know if it's good or bad until it hits you... I guess that's also why I'm rather scared of 2020. The uncertainty is just right there.
Well besides the uncertainty, the fact that in just a few months I will no longer be a school kid is somehow... A bit scary. I felt like I was still in the early days of the first semester...
And also the fact that either I get into pilot school or university, I'll probably have to leave my home and my parents and stay at a new place probably alone(the pilot school I want to go to is located on two airports at Cirebon and Palangkaraya(South Kalimantan)... With both places being more than 100 nautical miles from where I live)
Still though, I know very well I can't let those come over me. I can't give up now if it's still a quarter of the battle. All I need to do is to keep myself keep on struggling and working hard and smart. That and never let my confidence drop. I must keep myself up in 2020!
So for that, I would like to wish to y'all good luck for 2020! Especially for those who are/will:
- In their final semester and their final grade of their school and will be graduating this year
- Apply for the pilot school, university, academy, etc of their dreams.
- Apply for their dream jobs
- Planning for big promotions
- Planning big for 2020
So again, good luck, set a course way above the skies, and have a happy new year!

Will Be Very Busy
General | Posted 6 years agoJust want to let y'all know that I may not be quite active until early December since well this term's finals are my only chance to crank up my score numbers for pilot school so for now I will be focused on studying.
While my maths, physics, and English scores on 10 and 11 grades were above the minimal that Angkasa Aviation Academy needs (their minimal is 7), I want to crank up the numbers for this grade so I can have a more better chance in getting accepted there.
The exams will be starting around 18 November which is now about 22 days away by the time I've written this journal. I shall and have been using the days before today and the following 22 days to study and to mend some assignments and scores that need to be improve or at least taken care off.
I'm very sorry if I couldn't upload much art and I'm sorry if I couldn't upload something for Halloween. I'm also sorry if I can't fave any of y'all arts, role play, and respond to new watches and new faves until December.
Welp, that's all I can think of for writing this journal. Wish me luck!
UPDATE 11NOV19:
(Man I'm way 2 weeks late in announcing this)
Well during the last week of October it was announced that the actual starting date of the exams is actually on 26 November. Which now gives me two weeks to study. Of course, it doesn't mean that I can't just lollygag. I have used the extra time to, well, study. Again, wish me luck!

5 Years in the Living Aircraft Community(and Deviantart)
General | Posted 6 years agoWell I must say time does really fly! It's now been five years since I created my dA account and joined the living aircraft community for good.
It's getting a bit too night on my time zone and it's already a day late for this anniversary so I'll do a quick write lel.
In this fifth period (2018-2019) I've made some advancements in my drawings taking a more detailed approach and added shadings yaayy lel. Also, things have been running more greater now for me. New watchers new friends and things have been quite peaceful for me lel. And also I've been doing a lot of philately in the middle of 2019.
Now some bit of throwback:
When I created my DA account back in 2014 and, quickly later on, joined the living aircraft community, it has been a couple of months or more since we moved from East Jakarta to South Tangerang(but since we lived very close to the Cinere area in Depok city and do most of our shopping and schooling there, then we can say that we moved to Cinere lel) and also my first days in middle school. So, for me, it's like opening three new chapters at once. Although this was certainly not unplanned you know, I've been eyeing the living machine community in general and the living aircraft community in particular since probably 2011 or 2012. Nevertheless, I was happy that I got quickly welcomed into the living aircraft community.
Anyways, here's some old drawings
My first drawing uploaded to dA

First upload of Ben

And well that's all I can think off for now. Cheers and to a continued future!

General | Posted 6 years agoI'm staying forever in the Living Machine Community. And that's for sure. Period
And I will not stop in making living vehicle art.
Although I'd like to put one advice for the community:
Keep y'all cool, k?

Will Be Uploading Art Here Again
General | Posted 6 years agoAfter a short chat with lightconcorde, a vote, and after some considerations, I have decided to go and give furaffinity a second chance in terms of uploading art. So, prepare for some upload spams XD
No more art for here (for the time being)
General | Posted 6 years agoLooking at the view counts and especially the fave count, I've decided that uploading art to here would be a waste of my time. Futile, I might say. What's really the point of uploading art if I barely have any feedback?
Although I'll stay here for my main and original reason. To watch my favorite people who left DA.

General | Posted 6 years agoMy Aeromorphs' Concept
General | Posted 6 years agoNote: Aeromoprhs might not be canon in my 'main' living vehicle universe. This is also not my final theory on my concept. Some of the parts may be illogical XD
So basically in my universe(or maybe one of my universes), living vehicles contain a force that partially makes them alive and gives them their biological traits. This force is popularly called the 'Energy'. The 'Energy' is a bit, some might say, as somewhat 'magical'.
Now, if one keeps training their 'energy', then they can achieve the ability to shapeshift into an aeromorph. Their aeromorph form will have features of their feral form, of course. Their skin is of the same material as their feral form's skin(organic metal, organic titanium, organic aluminum, etc) but can be quite soft or quite hard, while joints, fingers, and some moving parts would be covered with very durable rubber. They have robotic and organic aesthetics.
They can eat and drink and take in fuel using their mouths or fuel ports as they would in their feral forms.
They can morph their feet to adjust for the situation. While walking for long times they usually morph their feet into boots. While relaxing they morph their feet into socks or feet. While for flying morph their feet into boots with wheels on the tip.
Now, on private parts and breasts.. They usually chose not to form/create private parts simply for courtesy and to be aerodynamically clean. However, they can chose to form those parts. Meanwhile, females still have visibly larger breasts than males, but not enough to cause aerodynamic drag and be too much of an eye catcher. Although, again, they can set the size on their own.
My aeromophs have one sub category: Aerosuits. As the name suggests, they are aeromorphs that can be worn as suits. Sentient biomech flying suits if you want to put it that way.
Externally, they have not much difference with normal aeros but they have a seam on the front of their body. This seam, when opened, is where the occupant(or pilot) will go thru to get into the aerosuit.
The inside of an aerosuit is where the difference is obvious. Unlike normal aeromorphs, there are no organs or electronics visible inside, just, by default, a smooth and soft rubber interior(the color depends on the personality or the color of the feral form's seats of the aero). But aeros can adjust their interior to match the upholstery of their feral form's seats if they're leather or vinyl.
One of the most interesting aspects of aerosuits of my universe is that they are piloted using 'mind meld' or 'telepath'. The aero would 'knock knock' on the pilot's mind, requesting to meld with his or her mind, and then the aero and pilot will have control over each other. Essentially mutual control and for this they both have to trust each other. The pilot will be given a mental image of necessary info like airspeed and controls.
Another interesting aspect of my aerosuits is that they can manipulate their interior. Mostly to show affection to their pilots like massaging, petting, and/or tickling them. The massaging part would be very useful in the unlikely but painful event when the pilot gets the cramps.
