Missing.
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm missing something. Something very very important. Maybe you have it. I don't. And I may never see it again. My sense of security. Have you seen it? It seems to be lost...
I wonder what they were thinking. How they were feeling, breaking into my home. Weren't they scared? Weren't they nervous? Or were they a hardened thug that does this for a living.
Thank the Lord we weren't home. The Lord would be ashamed of what I would have done to this person in my house.
Coming home, that night, the Xbox in pieces at the front door, the cords strung down the stairs. Of course I didn't go in until the police arrived. My laptop? Gone. Keepers laptop? Gone. The Xbox works, so I suppose that is a plus.
We told our landlord back in July and August that our door didn't shut correctly, and our deadbolt never worked. You could jerk our door open, while it was locked. He didn't do anything about it. Until a robbery occurred. Am I still then considered liable for my losses when my landlord didn't do his job and keep us safe? It's Iowa law for landlords to keep their property in a condition where the tenants and belongings are safe.
TO;DR: I WANT TO MOVE NOW.

Is it just me?
General | Posted 13 years agoIs it just me or am I the only one that thinks its wrong to charge customers for the fee of the transaction? You're already getting my money. Its not like its tax. It's not, its a FEE that is normally covered by the business because you GIVE them their business. Maybe it is just me. I'm paying you for the goods that you are creating/made/building for me.
Pretty much anyone who owns a business covers any transaction fees because 1) Its usually included in the price of the product and its NBD, (This is actually very rare) OR 2) Its covered by the business because THE CUSTOMER IS ALREADY GIVING THE BUSINESS A BUTTLOAD OF MONEY.
I will never do another transaction via paypal that has them request me for money if its going to include me covering the FEE that YOU should be covering ESPECIALLY if its only $1.70. That leaves 83% of the rest of the amount ALL TO YOU. (If it is a 10$ charge.)
