So, I'm going to try and keep this as short as I can, but I wanted to make a journal reflecting on this past year, and what I hope to find in 2012. Original, right?

2011 started for me on a rather mediocre note, with nothing too special happening. I was promoted at my work, allowing me to do surgeries on my own, which is really awesome because it brings me one step closer to being a veterinarian, as well as a hefty pay raise ;D

Along the way, I met  rappyraptor at my very first furry convention, Furnal Equinox. I was at the dance, having a blast, and I noticed a guy taking pictures of my ass. We got to talking, and we've become fast friends because of it. He's a guy that I trust quite a bit, and I'm a better man for knowing him.

I also made great friends with  arius and  xthedogx, who then introduced me to  iNoby,  ardel,  patto,  canucklehead,  nayo,  arrkay...the list just goes on. Without you guys, I would be a totally different, way way more withdrawn person. Thanks for being awesome friends!

The highlight of my year for sure was March 15, 2011 when I started to date  thatheo. He's everything I want in a boyfriend, partner and mate, and while we may have the occasional argument (both him and I are way too stubborn), I love him from here to the end of the earth, and I'm looking forward to all the years to come.

Along with meeting  thatheo I got to meet a bunch of his friends on his Team Speak, with the most notable one being  glocky, who for me has turned from "that guy who loves to yell on TeamSpeak" to "that guy that I hold close to me in my circle of friends". Thanks for being there for my Glocky, and I hope I don't bug you too much ^-^;;

Camp Feral! happened for me this year, because I turned 19 in April (woo booze!). I love to camp, though I was unsure how a convention would be out in the woods. Turns out, it was amazing! This is totally a "die for" convention, and I plan on attending it as long as it runs.

On a slightly sour note, my grandmother on my mothers side passed away this year. While I didn't know her as well as I would have liked, I gather that she was someone who would put others before her, sacrificing her own personal comfort. I'm trying to take parts of her into me so that I can better myself. Thank you Nanny.

And now here we are, at the cusp of a new year. I can say that, overall, this one wasn't too bad, but I'm always hoping for bigger and better things to come. So again, thanks to all my friends, and I wish you all a safe and happy 2012!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I moved over to a new account!  maplefoxx is where Im gonna be from now on. Nothing big about the change, but I think it fitting. Ask me any questions you want about it! Love ya!

So. Back from an amazing time at Camp Feral, and boy oh boy, do I have a long ass report to write.

This years GoH's were the writer  rikoshi and  blackteagan, both of whom are really super nice in person ^.^ I purchased a copy of Rikoshi's The Seventh Chakra (AMAZING book btw), and a Nordguard patch from Black Teagan.

The weather at Feral was absolutley stunning, with it raining only once on the day we left, leaving many more days of perfect weather for kyaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking, diving...the list just goes on.

As this was my very first Feral, I only knew one person going in ( rappyraptor), but I left leaving with more friends than I can possibly count. Feral is officially a con I willl attend for as long as it goes on, where I plan to Patron as often as money allows.

Thank you to all the staff at Feral for making this con the highlight of my year!

This weekend I was up with my wonderful mate  thatheo

On Friday, we pretty much just stayed in the hotel room and cuddled, talking about ourselves in the month interlude since out last visit, and we exchanged gifts-I gave him a ring with our anniversary on it (he's a dragon, not the smartest of the bunch >.>;;) and I was extremely surprised, and grateful, with the gift he gave me. It's three necklaces in one, 14k gold, simplistic in the most beautiful sense. I admit, I cried :P So sue me.

After getting to more...urgent....matters (over, and over and over....) we went out for a sushi dinner, where, for $20 each we got an armful of food that neither of us could finish. It was entertaining to teach him how to use chopsticks, and I died all over again as he became more and more frustrated.

After waking up at 5:00am to him nibbling on my shoulder and ear, we took another nap before we checked out, and went to go and see Harry Potter. Again, I admit, I cried more than once, but so did he! So I don't feel as bad. Afterwords, I spent $20 (yes really) on a vending machine to make sure I got all five of the Angry Bird birds. Don't judge me >.>;;

After walking around for a bit and camwhoring with my iPad (did I mention I won it in a contest?), we said our goodbye's for the next little while.

I just wanted to let you know Thay, again, that you are the most wonderful man in my life, and I am beyond lucky to have you. Thank you for the amazing times we shared, and next month, when we live that much closer, I plan to do everything in my power to be the best mate, boyfriend and lover a man can be
