Posted 14 years agoOkay, so I have some distant cousins over from Mexico who are going to be here for a week, on vacation.
Last time they were here [5yearsago] they were very rude and stole some DVDs.
PLUS I have to give up my room so that they can feel more welcome.. as it is, WE'RE paying for they're fun [tickets to Knott's & Universal Studios]..
But on one hand, is it bad that I think one of my cousins [my age] is actually kinda cute and has a nice butt?? O.o?
I feel disgusted in myself, but still intrigued at the same time.

I went, running on 2hours of sleep, and just made it back at 8am.
Met some awesome people and awesome artists!
Furry Night Live was awesome! I loved that Coyote who sang an FA version of Portal 2's "Want You Gone".
My ex also performed along with a Nathan the Fox.. lol
The Califur Rave at the end of the day was EXACTLY what I've been needing for the last two years..
Met two amazingly sweet guys xDD and dayum can they dance!
I don't think I've ever danced so much!
Next year, I'm definately going all three days, and DEFINATELY renting a room.
Driving all of my friends home at 6am, with no sleep, seriously almost killed me.

TYPICAL HOMETOWN NEIGHBORS

I grew up in LA my whole childhood, and hated it because I was always beaten up and picked on.
I moved to San Diego at the start of High School, but recently moved back to LA to get away from my family.
Story:
I go out for a midnight walk around town, and as soon as I'm about to get home, my neighbors [childhood schoolmates] are hanging out and having a couple beers.
They call me over and ask where the hell I've been for the past [x] years.
After I explain, the entire conversation turns to asking me: If the "rumours" were true about me becoming a "flaming gay".
I told them the truth, and assured them that I don't care; everything that could be said and done to me, already has.
The entire night became about me, focusing on genuine questionare of what it's like to be gay, by every aspect.
I gave them answers on my perspective, flat-out and without bounderies, and was very blunt in details.
I was offended, a lot of the time, becuase they joked and teased with sexual comments, and stereo-typical faux pas.
Also, because they would ask about the explicit reasons anyone would ever like gay sex... then laugh.
I felt like I was actually educating them, from a new perspective, but also like a clown for their entertainment.
As conservative/redneck as these guys are, and as much as I hated my childhood and this town, I'm actually kind of glad they asked about me.
One of them was actually a really close friend in middle school, and after all the joking and teasing, he told me [privately] that he didn't care what I was.
He said that I was like a brother to him back then, and if anyone brings back problems, he's always there if I need help.
I'd always felt helpless and used, when I lived out here, and absolutely LOVED it when I moved away.
Maybe I was never alone here to begin with :)
