Posted 13 years agoI want to wish all of you a very merry christmas! I hope everyone enjoys today and tomorrow~
Also, I've wanted to say some things recently and I guess I haven't found the right time until now. I actually realized this on the plane here. Through all the bad things happening to me at the moment, it doesn't feel all that bad and I know why: I have such an amazingly wonderful support group of friends and family. I'd like to write a little to several people.
Well I think the person that has to be mentioned first is definitely my mum. She's not only my mum but my best friend as well. She gives me a place to stay and eat, a shoulder to cry on, a person to always talk to, a companion to go to lots of fun places, and so much more. Recently she's been so good as to lend me as much money I need for my medical bills, and though I'm determined to pay her back, she doesn't seem the least bit concerned about anything, even how long it might take me. All she says is "do what you think will get you the healthiest, don't worry about the money." I really appreciate my Mutti-kun, and I don't think I say enough to let her know.
Then there's my close friends such as Weeg, Wander, and Dinofan. You guys really know how to support silly ol' me and listen to me even when I get ridiculous (and even tell me when I'm being so). I dunno what I'd do without you guys, and I hope I never will. I enjoy all the art we swap, all the memories we share, and even the naughty art links we sometimes share. X3 Also thank you for offering to commission me or donate or whathaveyou just so I can get through this.
I have to say a little bit of my other family, like my dad and step-mom who, though I don't see them often, always welcome me in and make me feel welcome. My grandparents who were so understanding even when I couldn't come visit this winter as I was making doctor visits instead. My uncle and aunt on my mum's side who have offered to help in any way they can. And my other family who've sent get well cards and emails. To Oscar's family, who have been so welcoming and so supportive of everything. They go out of their way to get me places and feed me and just to feel welcome. I couldn't ask for anything more, I'm just so blessed.
A thank you to my watchers. You all have been so wonderful. I appreciate every favorite, every comment, every watch that I get. It means I'm doing good somewhere, and as art is my intended field now, I need every bit of critique and praise you give me. Also thank you to the few who've commissioned me. Even the $5 commissions help to reach my final goal.
And last but certainly not least is my love Oscar. He's been worrying about me, supporting me through everything, saying the sweetest and most supportive things, trying to make sure I keep myself healthy and fed, made me smile when I was crying and felt hopeless, loved me through everything, and so much more. I forget sometimes how much he will let me lean on him, but it's because I've never met a more amazing man who for some reason loves me. I appreciate every little thing-and all the big things too- and hope he'll always be by my side. I love him dearly.
To those I may have not listed but you know you should be: thank you so very much for everything.

WELL THAT WAS FUN.
Posted 13 years agoStill waiting in the airport, been over 5 hours since my plane was SUPPOSED to fly out, and there's still no hope in sight. First it was SURPRISE plane no workies, then replacement plane flew in late, then "something was going on with the plane", then the crew was fatigued, then gave us food vouchers that didn't cover even a simple sandwich, and now they promise it'll be only 20 more minutes. We'll see.
I've worked on one commission, about worked on sketches of two more (though they will be re-sketched when I'm less stressed), and god I just hope I don't have to spend the night. I'm already exhausted, have had hardly anything to eat, and about at the end of my rope. OH YEAH still sick. >U
I just wanna be tucked into the bed in Laredo cuddling the best man in the world. ;w; Is that too much to ask?

I'm being good and actually working on commissions. I have a few that I keep switching between them because they're so fun and I get inspirations for each, and want them all to have lots of inspiration and my best work in them~

Posted 13 years agoSaw my surgeon, and she said it WASN'T asap, so she and I could both do our christmas plans. So right now my surgery is planned for January 7th, which will probably cut into school some, but things will work out. C:

If you've had them, you'd know how painful they are, so that's why things are going quite fast. My mum is lending me the money, and I'm determined to pay her back as quickly as I can. All my reserve money went into trying to figure what it was before the ER.

If you want your picture streamed, I can do that on join.me or livestream, though I do warn that sometimes I have to get off atm because I'm still sick and get tired really quickly.
Animated snow icons are $5 for single animated or $9 for animated couples icons. It can be any wintery theme you like, and if there's some sort of clothing you want to be wearing, just let me know! I usually defalt to a scar if nothing else. You get the large animated file, and then the individual icons shrunk down to whatever size you want~

I also offer wing-it commissions: $3 1-color sketches or $5 full-colored sketches. You just give me a ref and a prompt, and I'll sketch it. It's cheaper because I don't give updates and large edits. The amount of background is up to me. If you want shading, let me know.

The Hobbit
Posted 13 years agoMe mum drug me to see it since she thought I needed some cheering up with everything that's happening...
I have to say the Tolkien-lover in me nitpicked the crap out of it until I stepped back and thought of it separate, like I do for the LotR movies. And once I did, I realized I rather loved the movie. Sure, there was waaaaaay too much fighting and the CGI was disappointing at points, but in the end, I think I'll watch it again and again, get the extended editions of both the movie and the soundtrack (when I have money again ;w; ), and generally love the crap out of it just like I do for LotR.
And by Elbereth, it's sooooo good to be back in Middle Earth!
Though I have to say something about the actual quality of the movie. The high frame rate, 3D, and XD all made me rather ill. I had to look away several times. Sure, I'm prone to it with my condition, but it was even bothering me mum. Maaaaaaaybe this wasn't such a good idea/some improvement is needed. Quality is awesome, but goodness gracious, if you gotta take off your glasses and take a rest in the middle of the movie, it's kinda making watching the movie in that quality useless...
In the end, I give the movie something along the lines of a 9.5/10. It was awesome, just little things take a tiny little chunk out for the blaring discrepancies between book and movie.

I don't wanna hear the drama on the other side. I know I'll be keeping my eyes peeled at FC and future PS's for that head, and hope it's just some stupid fur that will give it back.

Posted 13 years ago is coming to spend thanksgiving with me and my family!It's very hard sitting still in class. I just wanna drive to the airport right now, but I have to wait until after my art class to head out. o3o Then I will probably still be early *knock on wood* but gaaaaaaaaaaaah I'm so excited to see him!
So while he's here, I dunno if I'll be doing more or less art (he's my inspiration, butI also want to just enjoy him here~). I'm sad I'll still have class and homework, but we'll work around it.

At least the bouncing negates how effing cold it is here-I saw my breath this morning and a slight frost on my car. o3o I nu like this cold, but oh well. Jacket/trenchcoat, Gryffindor scarf, and fancy hat/animal hat days are here, and well I have pretty awesome selections to wear. Now if I can only find my beret....
UUUUUGH is it 4pm yet? Time is going too slooooooooooooooow!

Will try to get backlog and homework done first. I have a CK piece that's been sitting on a backburner that just needs to be done. Also need to clean my room and do some laundry. I shall be busy for a while....
Also to those going to PS this weekend that have suits: I want to photograph you! I'm taking a b&w photography course, and I can get you some really nice quality prints if you want some. C: I just need a few volunteers to come when there's light outside.

Posted 13 years agoMy right elbow shoots a line of pain up my arm every time I bend/unbend it. Which means arts is REALLY painful. :/ Well actually pretty much everything is painful.
Sooooo you may not be seeing arts for me for a bit, or if I'm really desperate, I might be doing some left handed coloring (not sketching/inking as that would just be a blob of unrecongnizableness).
So please do bear with me. I didn't mean for this to happen. Though if you need to blame anybody, blame the nurse who took blood from that arm. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's something to do with that....
In other news, Obama won. Huzzah!

Where I've disappeared to was first fighting with school administration, then this week I have classes. Of which, one I have to change as it went from a 4 to a 2 unit class. UGH. Also need to find new housing. Joy.
Today's been a long day of everything taking twice as long as it should. Including arting in my art class as my teacher makes us spend 20 minutes just shading a circle with our eyes closed. *dies*
Sooooo expect not much from me for a little bit as I settle into life.
For the very few that I owe art to still, let me know if you wanna wait or you're taking your business elsewhere. I don't think I have anyone's money that I haven't given something in return (which is a good thing), but if I'm wrong, please correct me.
