My hope is that, with the help of the new sona, I can start being a little more open about my furry shit. Or at least make it easier to socialize at IRL furry events. Or easier to let hyooman friends in on part of my hobby without it all immediately leading up to my stockpile of weird fetish art.

I still think the Furry Experience™ is amazing for letting you experience and shape parts of your identity that don't quite fit into your day to day identity, and that's beautiful. But sooner or later, we've all got to start pulling our parts together, so we can be the people we want to be.

I think I may have asked this before, but does anyone know someone who could build some travel size stocks? Preferably on the west coast? If I could get a set by the end of the month, I'd gladly pas at least $100 for that.

So I dropped this year's tax return on a Cintiq 21UX, because I should have owned one a long time ago.

The thing looks great, but the pen doesn't work, and I'm running out of ideas.

Here's the facts:

OS is Windows 7. The screen works fine and so does the touch strip, which means the USB connection is working.

I've completely uninstalled my bamboo's drivers and wiped out every instance of Wacom on my computer, using the search tool Everything. Then I've tried Wacom's latest drivers, previous drivers, and their drivers for "Intuos3, Cintiq21, and Cintiq20 (DTZ)." I did a full uninstallation and nuking after each attempt.

The weird part is, if I plug my Bamboo back in without any drivers installed, it still works. I found it listed as CTE-450 in Devices and Printers and manually uninstalled the drivers there. And even then, the thing still works as soon as I plug it in again.

I am fresh out of ideas and I don't want to rely on Wacom support for obvious reasons. I also have a pretty small return window for this thing, so I don't want to screw this up.

Please help me fix this so I can get back to drawing weird shit!

True fans, astute readers, and other stalkers will remember that I once said Kao sounds like Barry White. On second thought, it’s closer to this guy.

Che

Those last two may have been curveballs, but Che’s is pretty straightforward. And by straightforward, I mean gay. Really gay. I picture it sounding smooth, flirtatious, a little sing-songy, a little spacy, and mostly lispless.

Take this cheesy bastard with this dude and you’re in the ballpark. Maybe a little bit of this too. The only difference is that he only has this guy’s pitch control. You can’t win em all, dude.

(To be fair, Bing can only dance about as well as the guy with the cowbell.)

Molly & Tuna

I always had it in my head that Tuna is a lot (proportionately) older and more mature than Molly, but is almost impossible to take seriously, since she’s a tiny little furball who sounds like this. Meanwhile, Molly gets taken a lot more seriously, despite being a total ditz. Let’s go with this, with just a touch of this.

Purt

Purt’s voice has to be way too big for his body. Picture something theatrical with an underlying growl, like Antonio Banderas or Serj Tankian, but without the accent. Maybe if you fatten this up with a touch of this, some of this on the low end, with a little of this kind of intonation, and you’ll be close enough.

Bing

Okay, this one is fucking hard. I always pictured something dry, soft, rich, and breathy, like a mellow folk singer with just a touch of beach bum. Oh, and he can sing. I looked for a while to see how close of a sound I could find, and this is it.
