Alright, first off:

The bad news is that I've been home sick since Wednesday. :(

The good news is that it gave me a little time to scribble. :D

Moving right along, I'm sure a couple of you have some idea what Bing, Molly, and all my other yahoos should sound like. Well, I have my own ideas (which are official, since they're my yahoos), and I bet that nobody's guess could even come close. I'll give you a little time to make your best guesses, and then I'll reveal my own choices in a few days, or a week, or whatever. You might even change my mind on a few, and thereby alter reality! Ain't that neat-o?

So, right after that contest ended, my life got crazy, crazy (crazy) busy. Poor excuse, I know, but there's not much I can do about it.

I find some time to start knocking them out, and then I come up with a pretty good one for Dingoroo... which I then lost in a hard drive crash. Not fun, but I had enough backups to get back all the older data. Still bummed, though.

So then I break ground on the next version, get sidetracked by more crazy business, and then my other hard drive crashes, which was not as backed up, and had a lot more important data on it. Yes, I really should have had the foresight to back it up after the other crash, and no, I didn't actually have the foresight, because I am made of fail.

Long story short, enjoy your pictures, winners. Months and months and months later. Sorry. :(

Alphonse Lavallee was sad to inform me that I only received art from 24 entrants, which is just one shy of the necessary quota. With that news, I'll be laying down my pen for good and saying sayonara. It's been fun over the years, but it's time I stop drawing for good, shut down my account, and move on for good. But first, one last journal, and a couple of prizes, and then it's all over:


After much deep consideration, meditation, dart-throwing, woods-wandering, brain punching, brain punishing, paint inhalation, and spreadsheeting (no, really), I've come to a few decisions.

First off, major props to everyone who participated. I received entries from people who had never posted a thing in their lives, entries from artists who have drawn circles around me and will for years to come, and absolutely everyone in between. So give yourself a big round of applause! Or else!

Second off, if the runnings were any closer, it could have easily been a six way tie. I said in the beginning that your entries would be cumulative, and I meant it. So, I assigned every picture a number value, did it again in a second sitting, averaged the, and added them up by artist. Any other way, and I would have never broken that tie.

Third off, you should keep in mind that not all of the entries were public. There were a good many of you who contacted me directly with your entries, and those entries absolutely count! So if you don't agree with my choices, keep in mind that you might not have the full picture. ;)

Oh, but that's too easy, right? It's like trying to go up against the Iron Chef of paws with nothing but a box of pop tarts and a roll of fly paper. I checked the numbers, though, and the numbers don't lie. Of course, he originally said he didn't want to be counted in the contest...so let's move down the list!

...@#$%!! It seems like another easy choice, but I wouldn't win against him in a fair fight, either. He has better spacial reasoning, better color control, and a smarter sense of illustration, so I wouldn't stand a chance. Plus, I'll take his pictures over mine, any day. =p

Okay, that seems kind of cheap, but at least the Prize for Best Non-Drawings goes to an unlikely candidate. In fact, you've probably never heard of him before, because he's never posted anything, but I'm ready to make him my official squire.

People keep asking me when I'm going to come out of retirement, as if that's how retirement works. When I said I was retiring from art, that meant forever. No new pictures. No new doodles. No new stick figures. For good. I had officially moved on, and put this whole thing in the past for good.

What Does The Collection­™ Include?

The Collection™ includes fifteen original pictures of all original characters* in glorious 1280p (1920x1080 pixels). There is a huge variety here, including both genders, some grown things, and some toony things. There are bellies and paws and claws and blushing and giggles and all that shit you just can't get enough of, much of which is drawn with the kind of care and technical skill that I rarely give my pictures. I was originally thinking of selling this collection, so much of the quality really goes above and beyond. In fact, it includes a few of my own personal favorites out of my entire 'career,' including the best Oxy picture, hands down, one character who I really want to turn into a regular, and Bing's most intense session ever. While I want to share the hell out of these, you should know that none of these pictures will ever be posted in my gallery. :3

So How Do I Enter?

Draw your way in! Yes, pick a character or two of mine (Bing/Molly/Tuna/Purt/Pulsy/Some Oxys/Whoever!) and draw the hell out of them!

Does It Have To Be A Tickling Picture?

Absolutely not! It doesn't even have to be my characters - use your own, or use mainstream characters, or all three! Of course, including my characters (and some good-old-fashioned tickling) is a great way to secure lots of prizes.

But I Can't Draw!

You don't have to draw to be creative. Just do something... creative! Surprise me! I'll give pictures out for all sorts of stuff! Yes, stories count, but you can be more CREATIVE THAN THAT. And just for fun: the first entry in a medium that hasn't been submitted yet will get a bonus picture!

Protip: Just about anything can be an entry. Use your imagination!

Now Here's Where It Gets Really Really Interesting!!!

Okay, I've been kicking around the idea of doing something really different, for me at least. If I somehow get legitimate picture entries** from 25 different people by June 22nd, I'll start posting M-rated pictures on FA. I've already drawn the first few, and the limited audience's reaction has been really, really positive. I have two Bing pictures and two Molly pictures ready to go, and more should follow shortly if the first few go over well, and if enough people enter to make this a reality. So tell your friends, tell your enemies, and rent a billboard if you must.****

You can't really pick the style you want (I don't have much say over it myself; my technique just happens to change from day to day.) Cheaper commissions will likely just get sketchier results, while more expensive commissions will get much more polished results.

1) All pictures will get posted to my account, at the very least. Whatever you want to do with them beyond that is up to you.

2) If the picture involves another DA/FA/etc. artist's character, I'll ask him or her for permission, but I won't ruin the surprise of the content.

3) Just tell me what you want, and then I may or may not draw it. Then, if I do, I'll ask for payment via paypal before I post it.

4) This will keep going till the end of the month.

5) All the money will likely go towards commissioning other artists, or maybe buying a Pawfeather comic, lol. So it's going towards a good cause.
