Greetings,cancer,and new outlook.
Posted 3 years agoHi guys and gals! First, thank you for the faves and watches and notes.been a long time on here regularly.decided to retire from 15 years at Lowe’s home improvement at60 years of age and now it’s my turn to enjoy my 401 k and ss funds. Last November 30th I was diagnosed with Metastatic cancer in my upper back and neck suddenly.the pain was so severe I could not sit up for more than 10 minutes, drive a car, work, etc.it brought me down so badly and the doctors said immediate surgery was immensely required.had I ignored the situation right now or later in March,I’d be in a hospice a quadropalegic.the surgery had to be done on a moments notice and I lost my insurance because of my untimely retirement and had very little savings.now... I’m doing the treatments, follow up appts. And feel like new person again.seven cervucals and a massive tumor were removed and the bones fused.its a five year fix so to speak and later? We’ll see.radiaton and chemo are the next steps.but right now I’m gonna do things! Draw more, travel, new drum set and get back into a band. Gotta keep busy when I heal up and do things for myself instead of big box entities.for the record, metastatic cancer starts elsewhere and mine ended up in the most inconvenient section of my body.a very nasty blow to anyone’s life! Stay heathy yall and be safe.ill post my new hobbies in scraps and new art too *hugs*

Posted 9 years agoFirst off as usual, many happy thanks for the wishes, watches, and faves!I have been on vacation this week and its been wonderful spending time with my aging folks just outside of Austin and just being lazy.I do wanna express my concerns to those who may have been affected by the unusual tornado outbreaks, winter storms, and travel miseries. It has been rough here in central Texas, too!.Sunday night, hail piled up in drifts and lightning knocked out power for a whole day and my folks and I just hovered by the fireplace all night. We got to know each other more than ever as far as past times, family that should have been, and chatting about the old days.I also miss chatting with my furiends, but things are getting back to normal slowly.Hope y'all have a very happy holidays and will check back soon! *big smooshy hugs from the big burr*

Urgent weather statement for Texas furries!!!
Posted 10 years agoWeatherbear here.Tropical storm "Bill" was just named two hours ago,and the forecast track brings it to Port O'conner,Tx,by noon tomorrow with 50 mph winds. After that, the storm will move almost directly over Austin by early evening with winds 25-35mph sustained.Gusts are possible to 50 in squalls. The biggest threat in central Texas will be possible life-threatening flash flooding rains of 4-12 inches along and east of I-35 corridor. This is a very dangerous situation for the eastern hill country,Austin,San Antonio,Bryan-College Station,Houston,Waco,Temple,Victoria, and all areas to the Louisiana border through Wednesday afternoon. There is also the medium risk of weak tornado outbreaks from central Texas to the Louisiana border beginning Tuesday noon, until Wednesday morning.Major river flooding is also likely areawide through Wednesday.Beginning at noon Tuesday,I am issuing a tornado watch for all of central Texas until midnight Wednesday morning.A flash flood watch is in effect until 7am Thursday for all of the area east of a Dallas to Kerrville to Laredo line.Prepare NOW!!!

Early burrfday present
Posted 11 years agoHi yall!!! Thankies for all the watches and faves as of late.I'm on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico deep sea fishing. My folks and a coupla furiends gave me this trip as an early burrday gift.My real burrday isnt until Friday, however.I already caught a 330b.marlin,some squid, and mom caught some small fishies.Having a great time here, and my vacation continues until Friday.Corpus Christi is beautiful this time of year and not so many tourists.Tomorrow we go out one last time, but since I already caught my limit,i'll just draw in my sketchbook instead.Maybe draw a Baroozilla?Who knows:D
Spring finally,severe weather,requests,and a coupla notes
Posted 11 years agoGreeting to all! First off as usual, thank you all for the watches and faves! You guys are the greatest!.It seems like last month was lingering really cold weather for Central Texas, and now at the end of April, its in the low 90's already. In the last three weeks it has hailed here three times, damaging winds, but no tornadic activity this year, yet.Still in a drought though. As far as requests go,sorry, but I fell far behind because I decided to pick up my music again.Plus I taught drivers ed at a high school nearby for two months, twice a weeknight.I've three requests to do yet so please be patient.I'll catch y'all laters! *great big hugs*
Yet another winter storm for central Texas tomorrow!
Posted 11 years agoHowdy neighbors! First off, thank y'all for all the faves and watches of late! It looks like a third winter storm is unfolding for central Texas tonight and tomorrow with a possible heavy ice event. The atmosphere profile suggests thunderstorms that could produce heavy sleet accumulations and icing on elevated objects.Down here in central Texas,we are wimps when it comes to winter weather. We just dont know how to drive and fly in such conditions.Dragons get their wings coated with ice,and us furries get slippery feet paws.Travel is difficult.But...on a warmer note,I have a coupla new requests coming out ina few weeks,so stay tuned:D *hugs all*
