Posted 7 years agoI feel like I should quit doing art... seems like no one wants to commission me unless I have my sales up... its very discouraging and makes me want to quit... Is my art bad?... like why doesn't anyone want art from me? If anyone has answers please tell me below... does anyone have tips on what I should do to get more commissions? Should I lower my prices?... I don't want to get into great detail about why I need money except the fact I need money for medication... I'm diabetic and recently went to the hospital because I can't afford medication to keep my blood sugar down... I have a day job but my checks all go toward rent... I'm sorry for being such a bother to everyone... If someone would please give me some tips on what to do I would greatly appreciate it... thank you...Commissions open

I have been very stressed out lately...
because I had left my job for a different one but the person who interviewed me never called me back and so I have been out of a job for a month now...
I've tried applying to many different places but still no luck...
and to add on to this stress over my job, I'm suppose to be moving to Michigan to be with my boyfriend in a couple months...
I've needed to raise money to get a plane ticket plus the money to ship my computer...
I made a stupid decision and I'm suffering because of it...

I'm sorry announce that my laptop has broken which is why I haven't posted nor done my commissions I'm trying to get a new computer with the help of one of my friends who has helped me a lot in the past. As soon as I can get a working computer then I will be able to finish commissions and start new ones. So for now commissions are closed. I opened a patreon so people who wish to can donate to me and get exclusive prizes and artworks~ This is to support my art and my living. Like I said in a journal a while back. its been hard on me and my husbend since my job has cut my hours so drastically to where I'm only working 1 day of the week. "Get a different job" you might say, and I've been trying to find a new job... but its hard to find a job where I live. I hate it when people send me notes saying "Oh I wanna commission you!" and I'm like Okay bruah what do you wont and their like sending me the info about this long ass description about their commission and i'll be like okay that'll be $70 and they be all like.. "Uh wait... never mind thats too much" and I'm like... Bruh you saw how much my commissions are... why you get my hopes up like that??
Am I not good enough for the prices I set for my art? like I see people pay hundreds of dollars for some really crappy art and yet my $70 is too much for you?? UGH this makes me so angry... And to those who get mad because I don't want to do much fetish art?? I'm sorry but that just isnt who I am... I'm a Pin-Up artist... not a porn artist... although some people can argue pin-up is porn well its not... type Pin-up in google and look at the images then type Porn into the search and look at the images... they are 2 different things! I like to draw sexy ladies not SEX ladies! D:< I have the right to draw what I want when I want to draw it... its not fair to attack people just because they don't like something you do
Also... I love all my watchers no matter what. But please be respectful to the artist who work for you... respect is key, once you stop being respectful the moment we stop wanting you as a customer...
