General | Posted 15 years agoHey guys. I haven't posted anything of any real substance for a while, I've noticed, but i have a few things simmering on in the background while other Real Life events take their hold on me.
One of them being the free goodies for this year's RivFur. Heaps to do this year! I swear, the number just keeps growing x_x
I'm hoping all of them show up to claim their goodie this time, i'm getting tired of putting effort into something that gets requested but doesn't get appreciated.

Old Feels New
General | Posted 16 years agoMan, i can't wait to get home today and into some Escapism. I've got a few images to ink, now that i've re-learned a digital inking style i can be proud of, therefor, enjoy doing.
But i swear you what, this most recent loss of muse has been horrific. I feel like I've had to restart and relearn everything from the ground up; including sketching, inking and next step, colouring.
It sort of hurts, but it's nice... a new look at old ways. Or a rehash of old ways, i don't really know how to label it yet.
Either way, I'm drawing again (= Yee!

A journal on Loss

Not a lot coming from me lately, but you can blame the loss of motivation for that.
You can also blame this little story.
At one stage after tax return, i had a lot of money and no idea what to spend it on, so i decided to finally upgrade my machine with new parts that i myself had bought and paid for, as apposed to being constantly built on second-hand parts.
Things are going great, the machine works perfectly, i love it.
One bad thing tho... after reformatting and reinstalling XP and then getting the second hard-drive up and running I came to the horrific discovery that I'd gotten my hard drives mixed up and formatted the wrong one.
So. All the artwork and memories and pictures and stories and everything that I'd been creating, collecting and storing has been irrevocably destroyed.
That means everything I'd ever created digitally over the last 10 years has been wiped out. Scans, colouring, openCanvas and other straight-to-digital works and Works In Progress.
All I have left is everything that has been put online somewhere and whoever else might have collected themselves over the years.
So, yeah... while I reinstate everything- and restart an awful lot of things, there's not going to be a lot coming from me for a while.
Not that there's anything much different about that.

2) I was born around the same time Transformers were released on the Western world. I've been an addict ever since my parents bought my first one.
3) I'm extremely lucky when it comes to accidents. I'm lucky to still have my right thumb, my right eye, my left big toe and my nose. Give or take a bunch of other things I may have forgotten.
4) I try to grow my nails long, but i keep failing either cos they break at work, or I 'clean' them to breaking point during epic movies.
5) No matter how hard I try, I can never become better than 'good' at anything I do, but I can do a lot of things. I guess the term for that is Jack of All Trades, but there are times when I wonder what it's like to be excellent at something, even if just one thing. To have a profession to base a life around.
6) I find it amusing to state the obvious, sometimes straight out, sometimes in a different way, just to see how people react =,
7) I blame my sister for my 'annoying my friends' fetish. and i don't mean sexual fetish, before you go there! >8(

Bushfire Auctions

In the wake of the disasterous bushfires that ravaged Victoria in the early days of February, many people and charities raised and donated Millions of dollars to the releif fund of those who have lost homes and memories during the outbreak.
Furries are giving it a go now too, and so a charity auction has started. Many artists have joined, Names both big and small, and i've joined the ranks too in offering so that others might give.

FA is back.
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, after a long down-time, FA is finally back. Hooray for technology.
I've certainly missed it.. it had become a familiar site(sight) (for the pun-blind) to see. It's nice to come across such a familiar face again after so long.. it's like re-discovering a long lost friend, one that you enjoy spending time with, without living with them.
I see they changed the layout slightly as well. It looks nice, a lot neater and easier to follow.
I've got a few back-logged images to throw up onto here now, but i'll give FA a bit of settling-in time, i mean.. the entire lot is new, after all.
So, it's nice to be back. It's nice to see everyone again (=

Lest We Forget
General | Posted 17 years agoToday is April 25th, where all across Australia we take the time and effort to remember and celebrate the thousands of Australian and New Zealander warriors, all the young and hopeful who lost their lives fighting in a war that wasn't theirs.. As pointless as it was, they were the bravest soldiers on the field, their love of this country and their undying loyalty and duty to protect it in however they thought was necessary, and in doing so they shall never be forgotten.
Their memories will live on, and with them, the lessons we learned.
I'm not much for celebrating war, or condoning it in any way, but to those people go my deepest respect.
