So, Grades have been posted. But before I get to that, I'll tell you how that saturday excursion went. I got to meet  Spiff and  pakunee... but that's about it. We talked a little, didn't get to hang out much. :( I was disappointed by that aspect of the day, but on the brighter side I got a pair of Tripp pants for half the price i thought i would, and I got to see Warriors Way, which kicked ass.

Recently, a friend got me into http://www.housepetscomic.com/ , which is currently on a cliffhanger and i wanna know what happeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnssssssssss! *rawrs impatiently*

Okay, now for the listing of final grades in my classes this past semester:

Overall, I'm happy with this, because it brought my cumulative GPA back up to a 3.271... so that's promising. On another note, I got my Yule gifts from my best friend early (paperback copies of Doomwyte and Eulalia! by Brian Jacques)..........

What's up with you peoples?

Well, my finals are over and I finished out feeling good about everything...... but... i'm still sore. x.x; my back, sides and stomach mostly.... it could be the stuff we did during the Self Defense final, but I didn't think that kind of stuff would have this kind of impact (considering it was almost like any other day in that class). Any time i laugh, cough, sneeze, or even -move-, it hurts.... oh well.... I'll get over it.


So, this saturday, i'm going to Asheville and I'm gonna' finally get me a new pair of Tripp pants... assuming they have ones that i like... There's also the added bonus of me meeting up with  spiff for the first time ever. So yeah.... stuff. :3

...and lots of work to do beforehand. I have a 5-page paper for WW2 (due Monday), 3 questions to answer in essay format (1-2 pages per question) for Sociology (due Wednesday), and a 9-page book review to fill out on Ooronoko by Aphra Behn (also due Wednesday). I also need to study for the finals in Cultural Anthropology and WW2. Throw in me feeling tired, unmotivated, and sore from Self Defense, and.... you have a tired wuffcat who probably won't be around much this weekend...


Love you guys, wish me luck, and be safe.... at least there are small things throughout the weekend that'll make me feel a bit better.... *flops and huffs, ears pinned back*

[Edit] Oh, forgot to mention that my throats had a burning sensation on and off all day. It makes me feel pukey... :P just thought i'd finish out my "the next week is gonna' suck, please pity me and give cuddles/encouragement" thing.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you all had days that were at least tolerable, and, if you didn't, then I offer you hugs. My Thanksgiving started at 9 AM, when I went with some friends and my brother to one of the friend's parent's house and helped to make the dinner (or lunch, considering we finally at it around noon). I helped to make the stuffing, the sauce for a green bean casserole, and some other stuff that i can't remember. The meal was delicious and the conversation was pretty fun. Afterwards, we played dominoes in teams (my team lost with the least amount of points. oh well.) and then, when my friend's father had left, we packed up leftovers for everyone to take home and watched a few episodes of Mythbusters. Then, we went to my brothers house and hung out there for a while, then I retrieved my things from my friend's house and was taken home. All-in-all, a pretty good Thanksgiving (my FAMILY thanksgiving will be next wednesday, when i get home from school).

Now, to my thoughts.... Along with drama and stuff (about various things. some of it you know, some of it you don't), I've come to notice that... any day that I have that's fairly decent.... there's a fair amount of my friends who have a horrid day. It's when I learn of that that I feel lucky to have what i have and that I'm most thankful for my friends and family... When I look at my life, I realized that I've been lucky in a ton of things that most everyone I know has had terrible outcomes with... and I realize that I feel like a total bastard for them having those troubles. I don't know how to help them... hugs (especially e-hugs) can only do so much... I feel tremendous guilt... for a lot of things. It really hurts.. but I just gotta' be strong and try to be here for you guys.

I don't know many of you very well... but I still regard you as my friends and extended family. I am thankful for the times we have together and for the support you lend to me when I'm having my bad days... I just wanna' say... Thank you. Sometimes, just thinking about how wonderful you guys are to me... it makes me want to cry.

Thank you. For everything. *gives you all the biggest hugs possible* You make my life worth living.. and you make me a better person for having put up with me for all this time.

My mom's Jeep. We got our first snow of the season and... on her way to work, Mom hit a patch of ice, hit the guard rail, and flipped the Jeep upside down... She's okay, save for some scratches, a bump on her head, and an achy body....

Also, she got a ticket for "excessive speed for road conditions"... The Jeep is totaled and we have to find her a new vehicle.... *sighs* :/ this has been.... a rough year for my family.

Mom's home from the hospital. She's doing well, still recovering though. School's interesting. Will post more when i'm not tired.

Okay... so, I wanted to tell everyone sorry if I'm a little snippy/distracted or anything for the next few days. I'm just worried, because my mom is in the hospital. She has a bacterial infection in her leg (she had it 2 years ago, the antibiotics fixed it then; back then, it got so bad that even the slightest movement made mom cry from the pain, and the doctors said the infection almost made it to her artery... if we hadn't gotten her there when we did, she might've died then...) She's been on antibiotics since Wednesday, and we thought she was coming home today... but i just talked to her on the phone and she said she'll probably have to stay all weekend. I got to see her yesterday, and... her leg is all red and swollen, and it's blistering... so i really hope those antibiotics are working. I'm just really worried about her... so I'm sorry if I snap at you or anything, or I seem more down than usual. I'll try to stay happy and be strong.

Okay, so i ran a disk check (thank you everyone* who suggested it) [*everyone meaning  alessasmile and  kaejer ] and i got back even more than i bargained for. I even got back all the conversations and such i thought i'd lost before, PLUS I got back a gift pic that a friend had drawn for me (sadly, this is a gift pic that i won't be able to post ever because I've lost contact with that friend and I remember him telling me not to post it.... I heard he changed accounts, but i tried contacting the new account and... there was no response. so either he doesn't wish to associate with me anymore, or its not him.)

ANYWAYS, in other news, I got to play Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game today and... I am hooked. I kinda' wish I was still playing! but that's alright... because later today, I'll be headed back over to my brothers house to play with him and some friends again! EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!! *bounces* I played as Scott all night, because everyone else chose their characters first. >:( they took advantage of my generosity and used the money I loaned them to get an item that game them +50 speed. everyone else was zipping around and stealing my moneys! ;~; it was unfair... but then they helped me get it, so now i'm a little faster! wheeeeeeee! *is totally spazzy and wired right now* omigod, the bosses are crazy awesome. and we haven't gotten to level 4's boss yet! Crazy ninja chick of samurai death!! *epic flails, runs off to get a shower and then go to bed*

Okay, so yet another folder is not allowing me to access it.... For some reason, the folder is set to Read-only (something I didn't do) and any time i try to access it, it says I need to format the drive in order to use it. When I click "No" to the format thing, it says "[This Folder] is not accessible. Data Error (cyclic redundency check.)"


What do I do? I got this message when i tried to take this folder out of Read-only mode as well, only then it was saying that about specific files. I checked the properties and everything in the folder is still there... I just can't look at it.

I'm trying to keep this dream as fresh as possible without my mind filling in any details, but here's what i remember of it as clearly as i remember it:


My partner and I land on what appears to be an old sunken boat. I could tell it had been there for some time because there was algae and thick moss growing on the outside There's a square porthole where he says that I'll be going down for this mission. My body is heavier from the pistol and machine gun I carry, but i have a combat knife at the ready. My partner says it's reconnaissance, just get in, check for hostiles, and get out. The area around us is swampy and the air has this weird green tint, the water being a murky gray color. He tells me to go in when i'm ready and i just hop right in, thinking "This is just like [my brother's] one game..."
The water doesn't impede my movement, but i'm somehow able to walk on the floor of the boat, despite it being totally vertical. I walk along with my combat knife out and look around.. most doors are closed and my instinct tells me that they are locked or only contain storage crates. Suddenly, I hear my partner's voice in my comm-link, "There's piranha's in there, watch yourself!" As he says this, a whole school of them swarms around me, unable to get to my skin due to my body armor. I don't want to waste bullets on them, so i retaliate with the knife, slicing each one to pieces with a single swipe, swinging around to get the ones behind me too. A few piranha's swim away, (((a note here: I just now realized there was no blood when i slashed the fish.... but that didn't seem to phase me in the dream.))) and i continue on my way through the ship.
I get to the bottom and turn a corner to find the body of a woman. She looks old, like she could be someone's grandmother, and I feel a sense of sadness as i look at her... she wasn't floating in the water, just sitting on the floor like the ship was still above water and horizontal, looking as though she'd just collapsed. She wore a white dress and a pink-ish little jacket.... It was one of those things that just would've covered a girls chest, not her stomach, if she even bothered to button it up. Suddenly, she's standing in front of me... her body is still on the floor, but an ethereal version of her is in front of me, a soft, sad smile on her face.
"Are you here to help me?" She says, her voice shaking a little. Its a sweet voice.. she seems nice. Without hesitation, I nodded, though I could feel my heart beginning to race.
"I need a lot of help around the ship these days," She says, looking forlorn "and it'll be easier to do my work with a younger body."
I shake my head quickly and say, "You can't have me."
She frowns at me and says, "You can either help me or kill me. That's all."
She starts moving toward me and I back off as quickly as i can, fumbling to get my pistol out of its holster. She makes no threatening movements, but I know that if she touches me, its over. I get out my pistol and start shooting. My bulllets hit her and i see blood marks on her jacket and her dress where I'd shot her in the chest and stomach.
She suddenly says, "Are you old enough to be carrying a gun, young man?"
I shake my head, and take my gun off of her... trying to think how i could shoot myself through the head without actually killing myself, so that she could rest easy.... Then I see the woman stop moving, her spirit seeming to slump into the floor. My line of sight is suddenly shifted... and I can see myself, resting my pistol on top of my shoulder, aiming it as though I'd planned to shoot through my spinal chord. There was no blood, and I knew I was okay, but I was crying, tears running down my cheeks despite the water around me.
"I'm only fourteen..." I think.

And then I woke up. What do you think?? :( I dunno how to feel about this....

Was a success! not overwhelmingly so... but THANK YOU to those who did come! I had a wonderful time and, though there was somewhat of an awkward silence (i turned off my music and didn't mess with the mic volume until later... so mainly my fault) but it was epic fun ^_^ i hope to do it again soon because i'm certain that this may be the cure for an issue i've been having with art i owe to people... so yeah! Would you come?? I'm thinking about doing my first stream ever tonight and i was wondering who might wanna' come and watch.... i won't be too amazing, just me drawing and stopping periodically to ask for suggestions.

Y'know... Until the 17th. =l I can't believe I almost missed Fat Bunny Week! ... oh well. I'll carry it on at a personal level until i feel that i'm over it (which may take a REALLY long time). In any case, hopefully I'll be able to get some artwork done and get some well-earned rest.

So, In new news, I've actually finished my first Kingdom Hearts game (358/2 Days) and the ending almost made me cry because I'm a sap like that. The reason that this is the first one I've finished is because I'm stuck on Larxene (first battle) in Re:CoM and, for KH 1&2, I got RIGHT at the end... and then someone else showed me the final battle and game endings so... I thought, "I know what's gonna' happen, what's the point?" but yeah. I feel slightly better now... now to see about completing missions and stuff... maybe.

Also, just saying, but I think the new FA setup is pretty nice =P so there. AAAAAAANNNNNND.... I can't think of anything else to say... Anyone reading this has probably already seen my new haircut... so there's no point telling you about it now. For those who HAVEN"T seen it.... look in my scraps if you want to.

Sooooo..... I has broadband ^_^ and Steam! but... i haven't played anything yet. and the kitchen renovations are ongoing... but we now have black granite counters... mom payed $4k (through credit card, i'm assuming) for counters that are worth $6k..... FUCKING SWEET!!! ... I need to calm down. *sighs softly and tries to relax*
