so I had a lot of fun (for the most part) this weekend. Some undesirable things went down, but overall I'm pretty content.
Although I'm kinda upset, because I commissioned a badge from someone and was told it'd be done by Saturday, but they still haven't contacted me..and I have no way to contact them. :/ Hopefully they get back to me, because I'm kinda bummed and a bit nervous.
Met a LOT of really cool people while there. Chicago is pretty damn beautiful, by the way.
I don't have time to post much more because I have work in like forty-five minutes, but it was fun. Maybe I'll post some of the pictures I took later. ^^
(oh and if anyone is open for traditional / digital headshot badge commissions lemme know 'cause I need all the Bird art >.<)

feeling rather apprehensive (in a good way, I think?) about this weekend. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and I have a good time.
Going to look for a few people to get badges of Bird from while I'm there, that cute little genderfluid babby. She needs more art, and I'm excited to see all these different styles I probably wouldn't see otherwise!
I'm like 95% packed. The last of what I need (my binder, tank top and kigu) are in the wash. This time tomorrow, I'll be in Chicago.
Oh and body dysphoria is a helluva thing to go through the night before a con. I'll be okay, though.
I had previously been hoping to have Murphy's paws and new tail made by now, but real life junk kept me from getting it done. I'm starting to wonder if I should really MAKE a Murphy 2.0, though. Part of me just wants to get Bird, and be a very happy liger.
Heard some less than desirable things about an acquaintance of mine, waiting to see how those things pan out.

[Last Night's Meet]

so last night was...interesting.
Anyone who went to Papillion Days this year'll remember our lovely friend Moon Moon, the guy who was unable to find us despite exact directions and a meeting place. The guy who freaked out on the Furbraska page and started harassing people who said they were going to the event I hosted.
The same one who told me I could fuck off and die, that he hoped I wrecked my car, etc.
Well he was at the meet last night.
and if that isn't nerve wracking enough, he was up to his normal antics (trying to grope on underage girls, throwing things at people, grabbing / wearing people's fursuits without asking..) and it was fucking terrible. I ended up not bowling, and sitting with another member's mother the whole night because of it.
Fuck, he nearly ripped Murphy's jaw off and thought it was funny to grab him by the muzzle and turn the head around so I couldn't see shit--WHILE I WAS WALKING.
He did the same sort of shit to Fuze, grabbing his face and poking at his eyes, even shoved his hand up into his fursuit mouth, into his actual mouth.
The most comical bit, though, was definitely when he was introducing himself as 'the one who got kicked out of Furbraska'. He started talking about the 'bitch who hosted Papillion Days' and how she 'got him kicked out' and I had to bite my tongue, because I feel it's better he didn't recognize me.
Oh and he pushed me down a LOT while in fursuit..I wasn't the only one but the car wreck I was in fucked up my knee so I'm possibly a bit more offended than I should be. My knee's swollen up a bit so I'm having to wear my brace, which sucks. Oh, also, being pushed down while in fursuit is fucking terrifying and I don't recommend it.
I just hope nobody got scared away by his shitty behavior last night.

broke up with Cody this morning..I'll be okay, but it's going a little rough right now. All I can do is keep my chin up. At work, I have Kelly to keep me sane..and here, well, I have you guys.
Tomorrow will be better, I'm sure. And this weekend, I have all sorts of wonderful things planned..hopefully it'll keep my mind off of things.

does anyone know of one that exists? I only know of one (click) but was looking for something a little chubbier / cuter. Something to use to design future pairs of faun legs (I really wanna start making more of 'em).
if anyone has any idea where I could get one / who I could commission for a blank template, that'd be awesome.
I'm looking for something I could in theory 'sell' (I want to put up designs for people to buy to be turned into the actual legs, so I'm not sure where that would fall to most people).

[Nebkon 2015 Review / Junk]

So. Nebraskon was a lot of fun. I'm very proud of the costume, and of the praise I received. I'm not going to lie, my ego is a bit inflated at the moment..but after how the past month has been, I'll allow it for a bit.
I mean, shit. I got so many compliments. Of course, I had to let them down in knowing that it wasn't 100% my work (DTD and padding help came from Epic) but they all still seemed surprised that I pulled it off myself.
Knowing what I now know, I hope to make my own padding and attempt a pair of legs 100% on my own.
But anyways, yeah. I got more pictures in my first hour at the con on Friday than I did all of last year's convention combined. I met a lot of wonderful people (like Fuze) and got to catch up with other friends. It was lovely. I even went to a panel (and participated a little bit!) and a couple of different photo shoots. I'm pretty damn proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone, tbh.
Even with my creeper stalker 'friend' and a few other isolated incidents, it was still fun. I took the niece and nephew early on Saturday, they had a blast too. Bought another alpaca for my collection, as well as a cute multi-tailed fox, a small gift for the babies, and even an alpaca for my coworker who couldn't go to the con.
Also my coworker got me a copy of the Aristocats and I could cry because I'm so happy. I didn't get much in the way of 'gifts' this year, but everything I did get was wonderfully thought out (a vinyl from my favorite band, a limited edition Harry Potter POP and now my favorite childhood movie) so I'm very pleased.
I'm already working on cosplays for next year..I swear, it's an addiction. I hope to have Bird by then, as well as Chrysalis and a Pidgey kigurumi, assuming I have time.
For now, I wanna make another pair of faun legs..though I'll need to figure out a way to make them a bit more universal sized. I mean, I know they aren't one-size-fits-all but there should be some leeway in them, I assume.
Thinking of using my mom as a model for a few pairs. She's pretty average, I'd think. So look out for possible faun designs..
and for pictures from the con, I'm sure I'll get around to posting those eventually..right now, it's time to unpack, clean and brush everything. My room looks like it's gone through World War III. I'll probably get around to pictures this weekend. If I don't, someone pester me about them. I work better under pressure. >.>

idk I've just been feeling kinda bummed lately. Honestly, not even that excited for Nebraskon anymore.

Just been feeling really bummed lately. Not entirely sure why. I mean, my Nebkon outfit is coming along swimmingly..but I can't seem to shake the feeling that I'll never be truly /good/ at anything. Like I'll never improve.
Which is ludicrous, I mean just this time last year I couldn't even piece a tail together properly. And I tackled these legs (and attempted to not bother Epic or Rayne too much.. x.x) pretty quickly. Hand sewn, no less.
Just a few more things to do and Lumii will be ready for her big debut. Gotta put the hooves together, put a few darts in the front of the legs to alleviate the droopiness, and sew up the bottom most part of the leg seams..
and yet, I still feel like I can't do anything right.
I'm no artist..I'm just floundering along. :/

Lumii's fur got here some time last week. I ordered her hooves as well, they should be here soon. All that's left to do is fill out her crown a little more, style her wig and make the legs. Still looking for a good time to get those made, but work has kept me pretty busy lately.
Overall, I'm feeling pretty good about this whole thing.
Also, soonish, I'll be commissioning a local fursuit making group to make Bird, so that's pretty exciting as well.
Don't have much more to say, just wanted to update so y'all know I'm not dead, lol.
also, folders are fucking RAD. Now if only we could like...delete them from our main folder when they were already put into a custom one...

So, I think the most exciting thing on my agenda is that Bird is getting made by a local fursuit maker! I'm really excited about this, obviously, and I've started hoarding up money for when he opens! Bird is going to look so great. ;u;
My fur for Lumii should be here sometime today. Then it's just a matter of finding time where none of my friends are busy so we can all get together and work on stuff. Left on my list, I still need to order my hooves and my undershirt, style my wig, finish my crown and my legs.
oh and I'm slowly trying to tidy up my work space and make things that'll use the last of certain supplies (like my foam x.x) because I'm HOPING to move out at some point. Where I'm going, and who I'm going with, I'm not entirely sure. I was thinking of maybe rooming with a friend of mine from work, but I don't want to count on that in case things don't work out, ya know? S'pose we'll see where her and I are both at in a few months.
I'm sorry I've been rather quiet lately, I promise I'll have a few new uploads by this weekend (I'm stuck at home because my parents are going camping and I have to watch dogs .-.) so expect to see a few wig / makeup tests, as well as the new choker I made!
oh and I'm up to 66 watchers that's rad ;u; at 100 I think I'll have a giveaway or somethin'

I know we're still quite a ways away from Nebraskon, but I'm already feeling so excited. ;u; I have a wig for Lumii picked out, a pair of horns picked out, an underblouse picked out and a new pair of hooves to order!
Seek is going to help me make a pair of digitigrade legs that will function as my faun legs AND Murphy's legs, which is rad. And now that I have a job where I actually obtain a decent amount of spending money per month, I'll be able to buy all the things I need AND hoard up some money for spending at the con!
I'll be bringing both Lumii and Murphy with me this year.
I'm still desperately looking for someone to let me sleep on their floor because the gas to drive back and forth at least six times nearly cost me $100 on it's own last year. :/
and if worse comes to worse, Lumii is my main focus here.

now I'm looking into getting an updated reference sheet, and a headbase to remake his head.
One of these days, I'm also going to get around to trying out my idea for stompy feets. Probably won't happen until after I make real progress on Lumii, though.
if anyone wants to have a paw in helping me redesign Murphy, please speak up! I have his paws, feet, and tail designed. I also have a few ideas for his head, but no solid design.

Murphy's paws will be here tomorrow. When they arrive I'll be able to judge the length of arm sleeves, and then he'll have sleeves too!
When I order the fur for Lumiineve, I'll be ordering extra so I can make him a tail and a pair of super big stompy feets. :3
also, I'll be ordering a headbase from Otter.N.Daughter to remake his head (because everyone keeps mistaking him for a wolf and I think it's because of his muzzle)...
his new markings have all been fleshed out and are ready to be drawn, just need to find the proper lineart to use. ^^

so I've been really hung up on this lately and it's starting to frustrate me a bit. I'd really, really like to have a 'label' or something..idk.
Like it's frustrating because, in a perfect world, I would genuinely love to identify myself as gender fluid with a preference for a female self..
and once I start feeling better, I plan to start exercise to get myself closer to a body type where that'd be a possibility..
but man idk what or who I like, it's getting ridiculous. Like..romantically, I feel like I could love anyone. Physically, on the other hand, I'm not so sure. I'm really not attracted to woman bodies usually...but if I were in a relationship with someone who identified as female, and if I really truly cared about them, that it wouldn't matter because I'd be attracted to them anyways. Does that make sense?
tbh I'm not really huge on sex as a whole anymore (not nearly as much as I used to be, at least) but it's like...fuck.
