I'm always checking FA for updates by my favorite artists and looking for concepts and elements to help me further hone in on what my characters are for and about. BUT... I spend a lot more time elsewhere because of convenience. Other places where I can be found:
-Discord- I'm a huge user of Discord. From there, I interact with at least 7 servers, where my own server, I'd created to expand a Brawl Stars club that I used to run. I'm part of leadership in a few places and Discord allows me quick and efficient means of communication and collaboration.

-Twitter- I don't like the direction that Twitter is going, but I can't get away from the fact that many of the people, non-profits, and church functions that I follow, still use Twitter in one fashion or another. We are all looking for an alternative though.

-GoogleTube- Honestly, who doesn't binge watch their favorite content creators? Well... I don't really get that chance until weekends, while they've all accumulated hours of content for me to watch. I'm usually looking for cooking ideas while on my 'Whole 30' diet; looking for lifehacks; looking for church and fellow Christian's content; Hermitcraft(7x35 minutes); Brawl Stars; Clash of Clans; Miku Miku Dance..... just to name a few lol. I don't like the direction that GoogleTube is going, but i can't get away from the fact that many of the people I watch, still use GoogleTube in one fashion or another.. We are all looking for an alterrnative though.

-Gaming- Aside from watching content, I use the ideas too. I play Minecraft Java and Bedrock with friends and family. Doing research, development, and supporting my team takes hours and I love every minute of it, but it means I'm not drawing or imagining things that can only exist by drawing them.

-Pets and Social stuff- I have a coondoggo. He's the sweetest and puts up with my ten hour shifts and daytime rest schedule as gest as he can, but I feel very badly about that. I do spend whatever time I can with doggo, but it's never enough. We go to parks, catch Poke'mon, meet up with fellow players, and fall asleep on the livingroom floor. I do spend whatever time that I can with doggo.

Those are the things that I'm involved with away from FA. I wish that I had time to submit art works. But, as you might tell, I do spend all the time that I have on weekends, getting caught up on things that people do.

One really great artist, Zingiber, found her works and a bunch of other artists' works being reposted by a bot patreon account. This could affect any artist that uses Patreon for sharing art with their supporters.

Today is a flood of emotions. Today, I learned that Oklacon, the largest outdoor furry convention in the world, my local fur con, is closing it's doors. The jest of the announcement was that 3 out-of-state furs showed up, registered, then wen to a public area and did lewd and illegal things in public. Those acts shut down Oklacon at Roman Nose Nat'l Park and the district attorney was involved.
A year passed, Oklacon found a new home further into eastern Oklahoma and the same individuals call up the reserved venue and concern them so much that now there is no home in Oklahoma for Oklacon, if an order from the federal parks and rec. dept. stays.

I'm furious with the individuals. I'm even feeling vengeful. I'm sad that a wonderful con has to suffer such foolishness. I'm sad and sorry for those good registrees from out of the country who now have to cancel travel plans. I feel pity for the artists and dealers who knew Oklacon for a great place to sell stuff and visit with people. I feel remorse for those staff who put their time and heart into keeping Oklacon running. I feel fearful for the future. And I feel vengeful against that troll who destroyed what 15 years of hard work and good times had brought together... and possibly put all furry gatherings in Oklahoma in danger. Those trolls are truly stupid. I don't call them furries; they aren't furries; they are a bunch of criminals who wanted to bring furries down no matter the cost.
But then I'm hopeful that people will act fast to gather again. I'm hopeful that federal governing bodies will be reasonable and understanding. I'm hopeful that this builds up a stubborn resilience in Oklahoma Furs.
I'm hopeful that those responsible never get a break or chance to commit such horrid acts against another organization ever again. I'm hopeful that those responsible for destroying the public relations that furries in OK had, that they will serve time in jail in their respective state. I'm hopeful that justice will be served.

I was going to be able to work and visit the con on the same days. It was going to be a challenge and really great.



To those who take care of conventions: guard what you love; do not be lax! These trolls played on the generous, kind hearts of Oklahomans. Make it a +21 venue. Have signatures on a release forms that release the con of responsibility for individuals. Make sure that law enforcement are a close partner. Do not become victim to people willing to do jail time in order to take furries down!

Well this month... 'least this week has been very productive. In one week, I've doubled the amount of submissions to the web than I have in the whole year until this time last year.

You probably won't see many uploads here anymore. I'm still trying to ween myself off of Furaffinity.
Why do I want to ween myself off of the greatest furry mecca since Furnation or Yerf? Because I'm an addict. Quite literally, the first thing that I do is hit the URL for 'sf..' and hit enter and start looking through the submissions of people I follow, then the enumerable journals, then I comment, then I browse... then it's midnight. over and over and over again. It's running into my social, scholastic, professional, and personal life.

I didn't want to make a link between accounts because of Google snatching up my info and making it seamless for others to see my entire life... but I have to start weening myself off FA and that means seeing people elsewhere. Believe me, one of the reasons that I keep coming back to FA is that on Furaffinity, I don't have drop-down boxes inside drop-down boxes to go through just to classify and submit my anthro works the way that I do on DA. I seriously despise the layout... if I could just get my own site and an API that I create to push the content onto their servers... but I digress. The thing that they have going for them is that they don't consider pasties as acceptable 'general' audience content. I've already put in two trouble tickets before about this problem. Since FA members and their admin fail to report/take care of violations, I have less of a problem leaving this pornographic site. Yeah, I said it! Pornographic site. People just don't want to recognize that part because of all the fursuits and friends that they follow who aren't that way. Remember where you are though and the prevalence of apathy among the fandom. Heck, I'm not saying that anywhere else has people who believe the same as I do. Our society has been plagued with porn in Victoria Secret ads since the mid-90's. I'm not self-righteous. I won't tell all, but I have a moral opposition to what much of the non-Christian world thinks is 'acceptable.' I don't have to make paragraphs to explain, if you're a believer in Christ and His word, you know the standard that I hold as well.
Many things, I know better than to do and still I do them. I'm not immune I know this, but I DON'T have to accept the natural. Much like accepting the natural fleshly urges for what they are. So I will deny myself and take up the cross of Christ daily. I won't fade, it's just that like I say... I have been Sent to fuse myself, not refuse who I am.

Popping in to say "Hi, and stuff."

I pray that all are well here! I realize that making a follow-up post about personal life goals and stuff puts me at odds with my own policy that FA Journals are for FA things.... but meh.

The internet fast went bust soon after I started because my phone suddenly stopped working, my car required repair... just everything that demands communication fell on me. I know that it was likely the work of the Devil to get me to use maps(apparently people have let Google convince them they don't need a physical phone book anymore outside of home). It could not be avoided or at least I did not know of a way to contact my mechanic and get quotes without using online info.
So I've been sneaking around commenting and faving. I've rediscovered that I identify the Furry fandom as being a significant influence in my life. I like the Furry fandom because the core of it fosters a culture that is in touch with the kid in themselves. I find that being true to to the kid in me is integral to a happy life. I know that I could be a kid at heart elsewhere too, but It'll take some time since I've spent so much devoted time to my furry friends(online and offline) rather than Highschool or collegiate friends. I don't want to sever anything, but I do need to spread my time across to non-furries too.... there are far more non-furry people after all.
still posts to FA, so I wonder how my presence on the net should be. I do have issues that I'm dealing with, far more than my role model, which begs the conflict of fighting versus running; I'm taking it slow right now though and reaching out to old friends. I'm still planning to improve my offline social life, but it's very difficult since I've spent a decade with friends over the world wide web. Despite the risk of being pulled back into the same things I'm trying to get out of, I still intend to finish a fursuit. I have had more time to draw too. I think that not being able to see the pose or subject that I'm thinking of already done somewhere on the net, forces me to be that much more creative. ... I have like fifteen gifts lined out to do that I'm slowly getting to. I'm tempted to upload the progress.

One of the Christianfurs I watch, Nameria of FA, is leaving the furry fandom. http://sfw.furaffinity.net/journal/5432813/
Her reasons are spiritual and she is one of the furs that I hold as my beacon back to who I was before being a fan of furry.
I never wanted to leave. I don't want to leave the furry fandom. Despite that, Nameria is leaving and I wonder if I should be leaving too. I don't want to leave Furaffinity for good either, but God has provided some issues through FA as an oportunity for me to reassess my life in the fandom. I thought I would be able to do that myself and for two weeks, I stayed off the net like a good boy... I can never seem to stay away for long though.. and that is why God had to intervene.
This is the second time that furrydrama has been so bad that I did a reassessment. The first case was a real life issue within my local furry group. Same scenario: I was supposed to do things that I never ended up doing alone and God intervened.

I have said that I am not leaving FA.... I don't know if this means that I'll have to break my word. Though compared to a relationship with God, I find promises all very dismissable if to grow closer to Him... though I'm sure He knows a better way. There are four possible outcomes for me: 1. I come back and slowly move to Weasyl. 2. I empty out my furry life and come back once every blue moon 3. I don't come back 4. I abandon my strength as usual and fail to do anything.

I will always be a kid at heart, and to that end, rather furry. The road ahead of me is a confusing one, I've been in the fandom for a decade, rarely doubting that I belonged here. I don't want to leave, but I have to try if only to defy the will that keeps me from doing it.

I am not Jonah yet, but I will be soon if I don't act now to save my relationship with Christ.
Nameria said that her time in the fandom caused her to doubt her faith and I find that it is the same with me this week. This week, I felt the dreadful emptiness of a man with no faith and I couldn't stand myself. Sometimes I just wish for death so I can be through with this torment of going back and forth with my flesh making war against my spirit so that I do not do what I want.

This is so difficult for me to even write that I'm nearly shaking. Leaving, even if for just two weeks... just suddenly going cold-turkey is dreadfully unpleasant like few people would know.

To my friends: if you value my success, please shoo me off if you see me online...at least for two weeks.
To my closer friends: I need practical guidence to help me phase out of the furry fandom.

What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
When I was a kid, my future god-parents named me BJ Bear after BJ McCay and his best friend 'Bear'(a chimp). This was a TV show back in the 70's about a crime-fighting truck driver and his pal. The name stuck with me because of my temperament. --I take a lot of abuse and then lash out; I love blueberries; I am the strongest of my brothers; and I run like a lumbering boulder. On a more personal note though, my role model was Marty Stouffer of the show "Wild America." Marty was a grizzly guy who loved the Kodiak Bear and Bald Eagles like myself.

Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
My fursona is very much like myself, but a toon. He is who I wish I could be in a way.

Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Yes.

Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?

Yes. He is my 'Personal Fur', a character reflection of myself if I were a toon.

Does your fursona look like you at all?
Yes. I like efficiency, so I keep a short haircut that gives me a spike doo.

Yes.

Do you have more then one main fursona?
No... though there is Cherib, who is a more physical representation of the things I like. So I guess my persona is my personality and Cherib is a symbol of everything else about me.

Not at the moment... but I have considered making a different back story than my own... in that way though, I am diverging from my persona.

Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
Not mated, but I would like to make a few stories about it.

He is/ I am looking for a mate.

Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
Yes. He is a toon first and a human-bear second. He is a human form with no nose, bear ears and a tail. You don't see that too often now, do you?

Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
Not really, I suppose. I never used him in paper wars(game of wits like Spy Vs Spy on paper), because I hold my fursona in higher regard than myself.... a more pure version of me or the me I wish I were.. So I didn't use my fursona much for battle and effectively, haven't nearly as many drawings of my fursona as I do other characters.

Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
Yes, but I would have to have a life story written out for my fursona.... like one which is realistic but not realistically possible for myself. That separation is what would be the difference between me and my optimal character.

If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
No... as for Cherib though, I have considered him for a fursuit.

Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
I don't role-play with my fursona because I know what my character should do and how they should be portrayed, and I don't let other portray that for me... I hold my fursona in high regard. I role-play as side characters that are closely related to myself though.

I am him and he is me.

I have a sketch book full of broken dreams and promises to myself.
I keep telling myself, every time that I revisit the pictures and memories, that I will work on the projects that same year. I've been on this pattern of hope and disappointment for years now.
Before 2010, before my internet addiction, I drew a lot. Before 2010, I drew much better than I do today. I drew better because I spent more time away from computers and the plentiful images of things that I wish I could draw. The ironic thing is that I could have drawn the things that I idolized almost as well then and even better than the original later, if I had just stuck with practicing imagination... but I didn't and today I have 3 gigabytes of random art.... Things with artistic elements that I have not and may never get back to using in my art. It hurts my heart.

I don't have much here on Furaffinity. I don't have much worth seeing. I don't feel that I have my best work represented here on Furaffinity. I know that I have said in my profile that I only sketch a lot, but that's not true. I don't sketch much at all these days and my imagination suffers because of poor choices.

So here's my resolution.
I give up on keeping my older stuff a secret until I can illustrate a graphic novel for them, it ain't gonna happen. T.T I resolve to release, rework, and post my old stuff. I resolve to not let these beautiful characters, ideas, and personalities die in the oblivion that is my storage room.
I resolve to give up the internet from how much I am online, to being online for an hour or two only twice per week so I can upload things.
To my beloved Yoshi: Buddy, I'm sorry I've been away! Maybe we can make new adventures when some of this stuff is over with? Love ya', bud!

I'd like to offer some advice to all:
Go back to your old characters. Revisit them. Characters have life. Characters are made because they were meant to have a life. No real character just gets made without heart and life. Let your characters live! I'll be putting up the first one tonight.

Each limb has a silhouette of hair, where the hair is individual strokes by soft lead or charcoal. Anthro works have paws on all four limbs, usually digitigrade, and will pose akin to wolves in nature. In humans, the artist rounds the noses and facial features much like a lot of Native American and Scandinavian artists that I've seen.
The artist travels the circles of Beastcub, Alaron, Thornewolf, Goldenwolf, Kyhot, and others. They are just looking to get the originals and commission work back. Please help spread the word!

Sometimes I go overboard when I see uncredited art work posted off site withwhere my friends are conserned... Today was such a time and this one Facebook user responded well. What follows is our conversations:

Me- Other artists have stolen art and used it to bolster sales that they never intended to honor and there are those I've seen that use it to bolster their popularity, making people think that the person had drawn the stolen stuff. People take requests and it is not beyond taking credit for stuff they didn't do. You did take the image down though, I checked. Thank you for taking it down, it is the right thing to do since Raven doesn't post on Facebook. One retired artist, Anry, isn't so lucky; his gallery gets raided annually. I will repost the conversations off site so others will see you did a good deed. And that is to say that I'll make amends. Good luck in the future.

I don't hate this Poke'mon. No. I think that it could be like the opposite expression of Mew's DNA like a doppelganger. I like this Poke'mon.... or rather I would like this Poke'mon to fill in Poke'mon's concept mishap where Mewtwo's form is vastly different than Mew's. The scientists did weaponize Mew's DNA. *What has science done!?* BUT, where did the DNA come from? It is suggested that the DNA was Mew's alone.... that would mean that there's a whole other expression to Mew's DNA. That would mean that to become whole as like a full expression of the DNA, mew would have to find and mate with this other expression.
That being said and given the fact that Mew supposedly comprises the base DNA for all Poke'mon, the baby could be anyone Poke'mon and either gender, even a separate single expression of Mew or Mew3.
The macabre and horror side of Poke'mon, or more realistic view of Poke'mon is rarely visited. Everyone loves a cute little mew, but I like the realist view equally. IMO Pocket Monsters is about naive kids forming bonds with monsters that wield unimaginable, sometimes terrifying power; a Poke'mon world that is too big for their britches.

Well... The only update I could find on the Legend of Korra. One update gives a European release date if the season 1 as July 1st...... Then there was some back and forth about season 2 being released soon after that. I dunno.

_Real Life stuff__
Two weeks ago, my 15 year old feline buddy was attacked by a 110lbs bull dog. Consequently, my little buddy died Sunday morning @5:45AM CST from a broken back and complications. I was by his side when he passed away. I attempted rescue breathing and compressions, but it didn't bring him back. I don't really know what kind of life he would be brought back to. His back was broken, he couldn't position for passing urine or stool, thus he didn't eat, thus he got weaker, thus he couldn't position and the cycle continued. I didn't know about the broken back until last Friday when the forth doctor finally decided that was the original issue. Skit-skat knows the fury that I go through now, but he would want me to buck up since he was able to forgive us for losing his brother, brutal dogs, a tail in a door, and force fed medicines. He loved me and I loved him. We spent a lot of time figuring out a language together. I could almost communicate with him. He would be disappointed in me if I let anger bring me and others into ruin.
School has sped up again and so I'm doomed to work ten hours per day for a week and a half to get caught up on final projects.
My family say I need to go to the Wild Nights fur con after all that I've been through. They haven't offered me a snake when asked for fish, so I'm taking the advice. It also means that I won't be able to help a friend named Cjaegar and his dad. I put out a request for help on a social board, but no answer was received. He's q rough guy: five cracked ribs and he still wants to go to Wild Nights. So I'm going even though I'm dirt poor, don't have a costume, a terrible dancer, and somewhat anti-social. So I'm going so I can learn leather work, poi, volunteer one shift in the kitchen, draw like crazy, see Kurt from our charity animal rescue, and play Magic:the gathering.

I work tomorrow, have a test until 5pm, and leave to get there at the campgrounds around 10pm.. set up, sleep, wake for the leather works and figure out what to do then.

I'm a very old fur, so I speak from experience when I say that the dancers in the furry fandom have exploded since 2009. There are more and more furs getting into dancing; and more and more technical and awesome dances being hatched! I love the new movement! I love dance! Anthrocon 2009 inspired my joy of dancing and today I can dance a little, unplanned, to hiphop, dubstep, disco, and trance!
