i have to say, sadly, that i'm just not feeling Halloween-y this year. i want to, i got some beads and decorations and even a pumpkin, but we've been SO BUSY that i haven't had the time to do anything with them...sigh...i was scheduled to go to a party on Saturday, but it freaking snowed! That, and our new place is too small to even have our own party, so it's just been kinda *blech* all around. oh well, maybe next year, i've already got all the stuff for it....

I just wanted to tell you all that Rupert, the big loveball from the Klan of Kittehs, has found a new home! Actually, the wonderful people who took in Baby couldn't resist Rupert, and they decided to take him in also. We are down to six! Rupert, I am happy to say, is doing very well at his new home. Trick or Treat!

Hey, i can't go to FurFright this year; sadly not enough money and too many family obligations, but i just realized there is a dealers den onsite. would anyone be interested in furry themed jewelry? paw print charms, animal carving charms on necklaces, things of that nature? I can post a few pictures of past work, i would really appreciate some feedback about if anyone is interested in such things. Next year! i WILL be there!

I am happy to announce that Baby, of the Klan of Kittehs, has found a new home! She was adopted by a couple that my boyfriend knows from his job. After much fumbling around, trying to get Rupert in their cat carrier, Baby just walked right in to it and sat down. She is now happily exploring her new home and getting to know her new pet parents.

Of course, this means we still have 7 kittehs that need homes. I'm sorry I've fallen out of coming to this site. I have just been swamped with chores and family issues. It’s amazing how busy you can be without even having a job!

That leads me to this post. I have come into taking care of a friend’s father’s cats. Both my friend and his dad are sick right now, and their Klan of Kittehs has been in the care of me and my boyfriend. We need to find them loving homes, because the care and feeding of 8 (!) cats is just to much for them, and us, right now.

The Klan of Kittehs are 8 cats, 6 red and 2 tortoiseshell, that need new homes. I have a Facebook page up where you can see their pics and get descriptions of their individual personalities. All these cats are fully grown, all from one litter, I believe. They are very loving and social and all are beautiful.

Please, we have had no luck with shelters, and so we are trying to find them a home ourselves. If you live in lovely New Jersey, and are interested in getting a fuzzy ball of kitteh love, look at the page. Even if all you can do is chip in a little to help us feed and maintain them, that would be a big help too. I will be setting up a link for donations. But what they really need is a home!

wow. i did not mean to be away so long....we did the move. i got a job, but it blows big chunks. nice to see the employers who are hiring taking advantage of this economy to treat their employees as much like crap as possible. that, and i definitely think they lobotomize people when they they give them business degrees. but, whatever.

i took a class in jewelry photography this month, hopefully it will help me get my work out there. it was really nice to learn that the sparkly stuff is so hard to photograph that even pros have trouble with it, and not that i'm an idiot. it was a little disappointing to learn that it means i really do have to buy a light soft box. but, also, it meant we had to find where my camera wound up in the move, so adorable pics of my fuzzies should be forthcoming.

i'm trying to take advantage of my discounted access to drawing supplies, but time just seems to be short!

well, i hope this time i can keep up with this site. i really enjoy it. i hope to see as many people as possible at furfright!

Well, i finally found us an apartment that shouldn't suck as much as where we are now. Also, it has a basement, so i will now have some where cool and secluded to do my bead work. I will be posting some new work, but in the meantime here's some plushie cuteness!
Also, if anyone is interested, and i hope you all are, I'm going to try and get a dealer's table at FurFright this year. I will be bringing lots of neato animal-themed jewelry and accessories! I will also try and bring a selection of more conventionally-themed sparkly stuff for your adornment and gift giving needs!

Well, Happy New Year everyone! I hope it will suck less then this year did! It can't be all that bad, Playmobil is making GHOST PIRATES! So cool...

Today is our Halloween party. we are having it late because last week was a friend's party. i made supper awesome beer bread! I'll post the recipe if anyone wants it. I get to wear my ears and tail and eat good chili and drink lots of beer!

Hey folks, I'm new here, so I thought I should put up some of my work. Some of the pieces, like the grim reaper with bats and the other Halloween themed necklace, were commission work that i did. Not that i minded, i love Halloween! They rest are more animal bead themed pieces. I am very open to commission work, so, if you see a piece you like, just contact me and we can work something out! The great thing with jewelry making is that i can combine my love of animals and my love of gemstones.
