Alright, to anybody who was remotely interested in the newest journal i'm posting, yes you heard right, i'm switching species to an opossum now. Now some of your might be asking, "But Karter, didn't you say countless times that you're vehemently against changing species? Yes, yes, I know I said that but at this point i've grown tired of being a fox. Yes they're cute and all around awesome. But to me it's kinda boring and dull being the cliche and "dime-a-dozen" species next to wolves that you see constantly all over the fandom. Don't get me wrong, I liked being a fox, but it just never really felt like "me", you know? So after 6-7 years of being only something I only half-liked, i'm switching species to something what I have originally wanted to be but just never really thought it would be a good idea, so I took the easy way out. Another reason i'm switching species is for personal reasons. I'm hoping that with a new species it'll give me a fresh start as well as helping me let go and forget some very bad memories I had with certain people in this fandom. But hey on a lighter note, I do have future commission ideas in mind that i'm planning on getting as well as a debut for something very BIG in the next couple of months. And don't worry, my fox-self will still be around on stand-by. So don't think that he's gone for good and won't ever be seen ever again. =P

So yeah, thoughts, concerns, ideas, or plain grievances about me switching to an opossum, please let me know and i'll respond to each one. =)

So today's episode of airsoft was MUCH better. The sun shining bright today with perfect weather for airsofting. This time my three friends came like what we had planned originally. So I went with  volando1,  Niru, and  Veskar. Things were much better this time around since doing sports\games with friends is always more enjoyable. Yes we had annoying spawncamping issues from the other team.....AGAIN! But at least this time around I did something I never normally do. I got five confirmed kills with my foam katana, all of which while wearing my Japanese headband. Kinda funny since I only got one kill from my G36K yet was able to get a LOT more with a sword. ^_^ All in all, this was a much better improvent. Thanks for coming out you guys.

Ok, so yet again i've been feeling like a fox is just not my fursona anymore. I feel the desire to change my fursona to that of an opossum since that was what I always wanted to be ever since I became a furry 5-6 years ago now. The problem is is that I feel as if i've invested too much time and money (both literally) into my current fox-self that i'm debating on if such a change will be worth it.

So in short, should I switch my species to an opossum? And what are all of yours' opinions on this and switching fursona species?

Please tell me your opinions since I have been trying to figure this out for over 2 weeks now but do want an outside source's opinion as well.

Well today's airsoft day was a complete and utter waste of time. Field was too muddy that I had mud clumping to my boots making them as heavy as bricks. The other team just steamrolled us yet again since balancing teams up properly or giving proper team colors is still not being incorporated properly. Plus since 3 of my friends couldn't come even though we had been planning on going as a group, it made it a bit lonely and dull without a "squad" of friends to hang with. =/

Well i'm back from Texas Furry Fiesta 2015. I had an awesome time there. Met up with friends, met new ones, saw some of the popular furs, and even helped attempt to start a dumb meme while at TFF. It never got off the ground since only about 2 dozen people did it out of the 300+ people there >_<

On the artist side of things, we had  redcoatcat ,  DarkNatasha , and  Rukis , who were in the "Dealer's Den" offering up commissions, badges, and small prints you could frame.

It was a great time hanging out with so many cool furs. Can't wait for next year's TFF! ^_^

So I don't know if it's me or something but it feels like this whole year has been quite lacking in multiple areas. For starters, I used to work at three jobs for eight hours a day, seven days a week, no days off. So I resigned from one of those jobs (on good terms) so I could focus entirely on two of the main jobs I wanted to keep, only to find out a month later after resigning from job #3 that I was being "let go" from job #2 immediately. Not fun! Then I have been unable to go get another job so I can make a combined forty working hours a week despite looking for about three months now. So work wise, there's a disappointing lack of jobs.
Then onto the leisure side, everybody seems to be so freaking busy and not able to relax anymore or talk >_< Honestly what happened? Yeah I know we all grow up and each year we gain extra responsibilities and more work to do, but it seems like everybody I turn to, younger or older, seems to be too damn busy to even talk at the very least.
Onto the electronic media side, it's crap and is only getting worse. I don't pay full attention to the "newest" consoles or the newest hype train for games now, but every single major AAA title that has come out seems to have been massively disappointing. Destiny, COD, Assassin's Creed, Elder Scrolls:Online, and many more. They're all garbage, broken, or weren't tested in the very least before being rushed out the door before being remotely finished like BF4.
And finally on a more personal peeve, I found out last night that the furry calendar that I have been getting consecutively (linked below) is no longer being made anymore. This utterly sucks since now i'm limited to "three" choices of furry calendars that i'm unsure if I should even consider getting. A Zodiac Dragon one, which is...."ok" just not a fan of the style. A Werewolf calendar which is pretty good but they can't keep a solid grip on which direction to take since half the "months" are feral and four-legged, while the other half are anthro-styled. I may be nit-picking here but this makes no sense, keep one style for crying out loud >< And the last calendar style I can get is a nudes\underwear one. Yeah not going to get that since I don't want to see soft-core porn when I wake up, or having to explain it to somebody if they visit and\or notice it hanging up.

So to summarize, this year sucked, any of you feel the same way in your own personal way?

So today was officially my 20th birthday. Yes i'm no longer a "teen" anymore and am now officially an adult ^_^ This is weird now that i'm 20, cuz it feels so odd to be honest >_<

So let's see, almost 2 months ago I lost my best friend who had been friends with me for 10 years. You might be wondering what happened? Well the reason he is no longer my friend is because his absurd obsession with the game League of Legends. Yep that's right, he was one of "those" people who considered "needing" to win online games and insulting friends non-stop if they were struggling was more important an ACTUAL friendship. Every fucking game he would always insult me non-stop and tell me how i'm not "playing the game properly". Well excuse me asshole, I am here to play the game for FUN like with every other game. I am not here to take this game and put it on a pedestal as the ultimate priority in my life. -_-
Then last night I lost my 2nd best friend of 4 years because he refuses to even acknowledge that he's addicted to sleeping pills and that he "expects" me to start up EVERY conversation with him. Is it so fucking hard to start talking on your own? >_> And no matter what anybody tells him, whether it be doctors, friends, or even his girlfriend, he defiantly refuses to believe the truth that he's addicted on the pills that he then get's pissed off at the person telling him this. I swear to God, who the fuck do people think they are if they think it's alright to be such disrespecting shits to their own friends?!?! >_>

Yeah real creative on the title. Anyways, out of boredom and needing something to help mix up my boring routine everyday, i'm gonna let any, and everybody ask me whatever comes to mind for today.

Well today I literally spent all day at a somewhat local fur meet in Arlington and man it was REALLY awesome! ^_^ I honestly haven't had this much fun since going to Texas Furry Fiesta in February. Got to meet new friends, chat with my boss for a bit (since he's a furry as well), and even met  Gojithefox. =D Can't wait to go to another one of these meets, cuz this was really fun and exciting. ^_^

Well i'm back from Texas Furry Fiesta 2014 and I had a blast ^_^ Met some new furs, learned more about the fandom, and even got to borrow my friend's old fursuit and suit up as him =P Plus now i'm feeling much better about myself and am no longer feeling species confused with the help I got while at that con.

Alright so.....i'm feeling species confused right now and have been so for about a few months now. Should I stay as a fox or should I switch and become an opossum? I have wanted to be an opossum ever since I joined the fandom but it just never seemed to fit me both physically and mentally as a fox did. Cuz with my mindset, your fursona MUST match you both mentally and physically since I believe in where everything MUST be realistic and true. I've put so much time\effort\money into my fox-self that switching may be a bad decision, but at the same time, should I really switch? But anyways, I need all of ya'lls help.

Should I switch to being an opossum? Or should I stay as a fox? And give me your FULL and honest opinions as to why I should should or shouldn't switch. Do NOT give me the pathetic and lame answers of "well switch if you want to", I need DETAIL as to WHY you think I should or shouldn't switch!

So i'm sure all of you have learned from childhood that when somebody is talking you don't interrupt them and be courteous right? So how come people think that interrupting you and not even remotely trying to listen to what you're saying is acceptable? Cuz I swear that whenever I try to say something or am in the middle of talking to somebody, the other person just has to cut me off or just refuse to even acknowledge anything that i'm talking about. "Oh Karter doesn't know what he's talking about, he's just stupid." or "I don't need to listen to Karter, so why should I even though he listens to me and doesn't interrupt?" are the most common kinds of situations\responses I get. How come I have to stay silent and listen to what you're saying but then you won't have the decency to show the same respect back? -_-

But there is a thin line between whether something is good and when something is crap. If you're just spending money on something that's pointless, then don't send\give it to anybody >_< Now don't take this the wrong way and read this as a "wow this guy is an ungrateful bastard", that's not the case. I'm just telling you or anybody reading this, how much a waste of time and money it is when you get something that is not even worth something. It's about the equivalent of me going to the 99 cent store and buying you a birthday gift from there. You'd be pissed and very unhappy with whatever I got you. So PLEASE, don't waste your money on giving things to people unless it's of good quality and not some piece of crap that belongs in your toilet.

So is it me, or is it that nearly half the furries you see around here can't act normal\serious at all in their lives? Cuz this isn't fun or entertaining to watch people act randomly or say stupid shit. And no I don't mean stupid things like asking who "XYZ" or something along the lines of that. What I mean is when you yourself are talking about something serious or are wanting to be serious and then you have somebody who says something that is irrelavant or pointless to the conversation. For example I just told somebody why I was missing for a good bit of time in a group chat, and then some other person randomly says "I'm a naked **** " (leaving the exact species out to not mark the one person). That had no point to be in there at all. We were talking about serious things and then that person had to derail the conversation and piss people off. Seriously everybody, use your damn brains that you seem to never use. Use your brains before you say stupid shit and stop acting like fucking five year olds. Act your age and be serious when people are being serious or talking about serious things. Cuz you certainly wouldn't enjoy having somebody make a mockery about something you're trying to talk about >_>

Am I the only one who notices this kind of stupid behavior with so many freaking furries, or is it just me?

To those of you who even give a shit about me, let me explain what's happening right now in my life.

I have lost about 10lbs recently and now only weigh 105 because I haven't had more then 2 meals a day from the past 2 weeks now. Even right now i'm hungry and needing food. I have less then 5 RL friends (4 years running now) and only 1 of them is willing to hear my problems and help me out right now. The reason we don't have food is because my sister shattered her knee last month during a SELECT soccer game and that took up a LOT of the money, and we're paying for it right now with less food and other things. I have been working non-stop during the weekends now for around 8-9 hours and during which I get zero breaks since i'm a soccer referee. Sure I get 5 min to rest my feet at half-time, but then it's instantly back up and running the entire 1-2 hour soccer match. I can't eat during those breaks since I have no food. A box of goldfish and a water bottle served as 2 meals for me yesterday -_- And when I get home I return to the "oh so satisfying" sounds of my sister screaming as she tries to move on her shattered knee because the doctors say she needs to move and stretch her knee so it doesn't grow in place. So it sounds like i'm in a torture room nearly 24\7 when i'm home, and I can't escape the horrible sounds or ease the pains in my stomach constantly. So i'm sorry to those of you that even care, that i'm pissed off and am supremely mad a lot of the time. But having nothing to eat, hearing screaming from my 16 year old sister because of her intense pain (which I am quite sympathetic about), and having no friends to even help you out of listen to your problems, kinda makes you lose your mind and be pissed off at nearly everything all the time.
