It's so good to be back!

Turns out I only like fruity drinks, beer and other shit is gross.

I'm pretty sure the sea salt grew my beard by 50%. Salty dog is salty.

Hey everyone, short notice, but I'm gonna be on a cruise for 10 days! From the 3rd of February to the 13th. Going on a big ass boat and sailing down to Central America!

Probably the worst way to do this, but I'm looking for ideas on what to draw (I should probably work on Kane's new ref, but that's boring) so if anyone has any recommendations for drawing to I can experiment with different poses, positions, clothes, objects, etc. drop a comment. I might even upload some of the sketches of the turn out well enough!

I know many people hate to message through the note system on FA, citing it as slow and clunky, but dear lord I never knew how bad it was. I talk to people pretty frequently through notes, but it wasn't until today that I learned that notes will take SEVERAL MINUTES to be sent and when you send them it tells you when they WILL BE sent rather than when you actually sent it. It's ridiculous.

If anybody is interested in messaging me through Skype instead, I'll be happy to give you my username!

Hello all,

So, I'm making some changes to Kane's overall design. I want something more in-line with the real-life me. Something that relates to me better. So, changes are as follows:

Dilf-bod: Also known as bara, Kane is going to keep his muscular frame, but add on some pudge. Mainly around stomach, thighs, etc. He's gonna be more of a thiccboi from now on. Muscular and strong, but still soft and cuddly. Think of a bear.

Ovcharka: While still a wolf, his species will be changing a bit. A Caucasian Ovcharka (Tibetan Mastiff) will be his primary breed. A big ol' bear dog. More grays, whites, and browns will be added to the palate.

Beard: I'm figuring out how to work this in, bare with me. Bearded bear dog is gonna be a thing.

Yeah. That's about it. I just need to fucking draw it. Who knows when that'll be.

Feedback is.appreciated, but probably won't influence the overall design... unless it's really good.

Okay, so, my local gun range has been experiencing some construction recently, which is great! It's needed a fresh coat of paint for a while now. It's a public, unmonitored range and doesn't really have any staff to take care of it, so it's used hard, often, and then put away wet. It's been closed for a month now, but it was supposed to be open on September 15th.

Now it's scheduled for the 20th of October. Another month.

Fuck.

I understand construction work is difficult and demanding, but God damn, NOTHING is ever completed on time in this city! We've had a bridge that's been under construction for over 3 years, and I've been told it's more like 5 or 6. Five or six years for a 100 foot bridge. It's ridiculous.

TL/DR:

So, I've put a lot of thought into this.

I was originally just always gonna have Kane be a black wolf. Just a plain looking guy. After a while though, I found that Kane was rather bland and pretty boring. He didn't really match my personality or who I am all too much anymore.

Some aspects like his fur color, breed, eyes, and mannerisms will be the same, but I might update his design a bit.

I myself am a rather large man, and when I see wolves I don't quite see me as being one. They're not quite as heavily built. Obviously he'll remain a wolf because I identify with the animals for other reasons, but hopefully he'll go from "bork" to "boof" if I'm making any sort of sense.

Another thing I've also noticed is, is that having a supremely fluffy wolf with no hair is hard to draw. You have the poof wolf mane but kind of a flat, short haired top and that's not asthetically pleasing. So, a rework of his hair and mane is needed also.

Maybe I'll give him a beard? I'm growing one out, I'll probably give him one too. I just gotta figure out how you give a furry a beard...

A viking bearded Caucasian-Wolf would certainly be fun.

I put in two attempts so far, neither working for me as of yet. I'll continue trying, but I'm secretly hoping my best friend and love might help me with it and refine his aethetics.

What do you guys think? Any input, comments, concerns? Maybe link me some art that could be useful? I wanna get a sense of what you guys think.

Anybody know a good site to find AK stocks for milled receivers?

I, myself, am not a gunsmith, not do I have any nearby to me, and I'm not adept enough to modify the receiver to make it flat instead of angled. I found a few leads, but if there are any of you who are more knowledgeable than I am; and/or know where I can find a good quality stock for my milled c39 I'd be very grateful.

MIDNIGHT EARLY ENLISTERS FOR BATTLEFIELD 1, WHERE YOU AT?!

Hey everyone, it's Kane.

Probably thought you wouldn't be seeing much of me anymore, huh? I've been next to completely absent from FA since middle to late July and thought I'd just update you all about what's been going on.

I earned my first job as a lowly cart-pusher for a chain store and work Friday and the weekends. It's been rough. Dealing with people all day is mentally draining, but I've adjusted after two months of it. The pay isn't great considering the region I live in, and the two main managers of my department are pompous, adacious, self-centered, and quite frankly the customers care about our well-being more than they do. It's awful, but I need the money. Not all the managers are assholes though, some of them are amazing, but the two most senior managers i work under are just... just fucking awful. We've had so many positions for carry-out (cart pushers) and cashiers open up because people are fed up with the bullshit; yet their main focus is their happiness not ours.

They wonder why they're leaving.

I also started college, it's stressful and it's breaking me out of my comfortable routine of procrastination since I can't dick around until the weekend to get it done. I go to school every week day and I effectively have no days off. Just work and study. It is exhausting. It's a break from work though and I don't have any classes before ten so usually I get a good rest. I never thought I would say this, but thank God for school.

I feel odd about sharing this next one because it's more personal than I usually go in these journals but... I have a relationship with someone now. Well... a half relationship. I guess it's what people would call "friends with benefits". It's... Amazing. She makes me so happy, I honestly don't think I could deal with this bullshit without her. It's a little odd to not directly belong to someone in a relationship like this, I thought that in real life that casual sex was some kind of taboo only used by people who make bad decisions, but... here I am.

It's weird to do all the things couples do: talk about moving out, kiss, have little dates inbetween the wakes of life, sex... and just not be together. It has been a huge confidence booster however. The machismo and charisma of virtual Kane is a facade, I'm actually a huge nerd, haha (Not that was a surprise to anyone, but I thought I'd put emphasis on it).

I guess that's it for the update, not much else to tell, really... just thought I'd let you know where I meandered off to. If I've missed you recently, don't be afraid to speak up. I'll try to be more active when I can.
