Got first dose of covid vaccine and called back to work for Disney so finally things are going my way.

Been out of work because of this virus since May 1st 2020 and unemployment has run out so return to work at the end of the month couldn't come sooner. Right now Moderna is pulsing thru me and I *knocks wood* haven't had the sore arm my sis had but it has only been a hour since the stabbening so hopefully I can avoid the dead arm.

So been not doing much here as not been able to actually do much with the way things are now.

This year has hit me from missing out on cons to everything breaking to being on furlough since March and with the way things are who know when we'll re-open (guestiumate is Summer 2021).

Had at the start TV break, my computer die, replacement pc had its video card die, speakers blew, and a string of things deciding now was the time to give up so lots of expenditures with no income.
Health wise beyond the "quarantine fifteen" have developed tinnitus out of the blue at a lovely 10Khz range constant high pitched "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" non stop so that's been fun.

Now trying to get back into at least running out 3D prints again after getting my hands on a new resin printer for $90 thank you for one good thing and 1sale and Amazon coupon combo *WIN* Resin is a new learning game for me as I've been used to FDM printing and you literally have to think upside-down compared to filament printing as you are now printing with the object hanging off the build plate vs going from ground up. Already had one learning experience with not making a hole for resin to drain out of a print and having a figure filled with liquid resin (had to drill it open to drain) turn out the setting for "Add a Hole" is needed for things XD

Anyway still about just not having any things beyond lurking about home and waiting.

Because he's become traditional Skywalker is probably gonna be packed and one or two others depending on how well I pull off luggage Tetris when the time comes. With as crazy as things have been I need the escape once more.

Going to be heading off to Texas tomorrow for TFF and getting a break from reality for the weekend.

After the start of this year I have needed it. Will be with  AnimeCat and the gang and trying to have fun and make up for the missed FC.
I need the break from dealing with things after dad's passing and hopefully a weekend of insanity will help.

So have been neglecting things here and other places due to the passing of my father on the 12th of this month.

It was sudden and fast and because of how quickly everything occurred still not seeming real to me. I happened to be in the other room from him when it all started and heard him wheezing and went to see if he was okay. He had been fighting a nagging cough for a month and figured it was just more of it. He was having a hard time breathing and I asked if he was okay and he could only give me a raspy "No". I started to put on shoes to drive him to the ER when he slumped back in his chair and I just jumped over him and the chair to get to the phone to call 911.

Managed to roll my ankle in doing that but didn't notice how bad until much later due to adrenaline rush and once getting them on speaker ran back to start CPR on dad as he was non responsive at that point. Paramedics and ambulance were all here in a minute with the station just two blocks from the house. They were able to get a pulse but within two hours it was all for nothing as his heart had just given up. Years ago he had a minor heart attack that as the cardiologist put it "If we didn't have you hooked up and actually watched you have a issue just now I'd never even think you'd have had a problem."

Later today is his viewing and tomorrow the funeral so will be a new start of a rough period for my remaining family so if I vanish for a while it's just because of dealing with things.

Soon off to Anaheim for the biggest Star Wars con in ages. They started lining up last night for the big JJ Abrams reveal of the new movie this morning, over 5,000 people had camped out overnight for it O.O

Going to be meeting up with  skyote then heading into the masses for the weekend. So FWA bound in a few days with a few friends for their first time there and in Atlanta so super hyped to show them around.

Love that we are in my fav hotel from Dragon Con this time and I hope that they can keep this venue. Look forward to seeing old friends and finding a few new ones there.

Woo shiny new machine slowly getting the way I like is now up and running so I can finally start catching up on EVERYTHING O.O

So many emails and more to get caught up to.

So my hand built trusty PC has finally gone and died on me.

Old trust Core 2 Quad you served me well too bad you decided to take everything I had in you with it. >_< New machine ordered and on the way so until then stuck on laptop so will be limited online until new one gets here and hopefully can transfer things off the hard drives to it (Win 7 Ultimate machine was the old and laptop is Mac so easy transfer out of the question for now). Thing that sucks is new one will be Win 8.1 until I rip out the factory drive and upgrade size and put 7 back on it.

Fastest cheapest way to upgrade swapping bigger power supply, graphic card and sound board to new machine as the new one lacks in video and power. Until then gonna be semi limited online :( all my Steam games are mostly PC not Mac so sadness there.
