Needed a break after the YCH (aside from the elephant Peach and Daisy thing). Was on vacation this past weekend as well, but I'm back, and I'm ready to roll again!

BY THE WAY, I'm testing the waters with a limited commission option that might become regular depending on how I'm feeling, that being soft shade, similar to the aforementioned Peach/Daisy pic. Like it says on the tin!. It took me a little bit to come up with something due to a little artist block, but today it hit me, and I was like, I gotta do this now!

I'm going to be opening commissions again tomorrow afternoon, but after a bit of an ordeal (which I will not go into detail about), I need to address something.

If and when you get a commission, not just from me, but from anyone, please, please, please make sure that you have enough money to cover the price, and also make sure said money is on standby and easily accessible whenever the artist in question is ready to take payment. The thing is, if you try to get a commission while not having the money present but expecting it to come in days later, you're risking two things:

1) If the artist takes payment before starting work on the commission (which is somewhat what I do, as I take payment before continuing past the sketch phase), then if you don't have the money with you, you're making the artist wait, not only delaying them from starting to work, but also delaying production of your own commission.

2) A problem could potentially happen with your transfer, preventing you from obtaining the money that you expected to have soon, which also causes a delay, especially if #1 is also true.

The point I'm making here is, make sure your money is ready before you get a commission. It's just overall a good idea, and just to make sure, I'm going to be making an addition to my procedure when negotiating a commission with my clients from now on. The paragraph below is the important stuff so if you're in tl:dr mode, at least read this:

The Important Stuff - After you tell me your idea and what format you what your pic in, I will immediately calculate the price then and there so that you know or be reminded of what you'll be paying, and I'll ask if you if you can presently afford that. When that's determined, then your slot is solidified. From there, everything else is the same. In between then and when I show you the sketch, you should also have enough time to make sure you can afford it. However, if I calculate the price, and then you tell me you can't afford it just yet but are expecting money several days later (or in some cases, more than a week), then your slot is not solidified.

I usually prefer to be lenient and generally trust people to know what they're paying for, so I apologize if the above sounds harsh, but after one too many frustrating mishaps regarding this, I feel it's time to put my foot down about this.

As an afterthought, if it weren't already obvious, this also applies to YCHs. You know what you bid, so you're expected to have that amount on you, and as my bidding rules already state, don't bid an absurd amount of money you don't actually have.

Needed a breather after that YCH but I'm all good now. Let's do this!

Now I do need to explain something here, because I'm sure some of you are confused about slot B when looking at the auction itself. Long story short, a bidder typo'd their bid amount and I had to delete the bid (hence why there are hidden comments in the auction), and though they were notified of the error and said they would redo the bid when they got a chance, they ran out of time. I notified the original slot B winner of what had happened, and to my surprise they actually willingly relinquished their slot to the current winner despite me giving them the option to keep it, which is very generous, and I'm glad because they haven't been in one of these before.

I must stress though to everybody. In future YCHs, please, please be careful with your bid. Make sure you entered the amount you actually wanted to bid without any typos to avoid any confusion. I was being nice here (and so was the original winner), but I may not hand out mulligans like this every single time.

On second thought, I'm going to give the YCH one more day before ending bidding. I apologize that this came out of nowhere, but I want to give this a little more time since I had put it in the middle of the week.

So bidding will end tomorrow at midnight instead.

Well as the title says, that's the first time I ever actually roomed at a con. Quite a thrilling experience and also quite a reprieve after a taxing last couple of months for me personally. So how'd it go? Well...

Day -1: Arrivals - Our room would be a room for four. (Ozzi), visiting the States for the first time, hosted our room. Also staying in the room was , who arrived with (not part of the room group though. The actual fourth member had yet to arrive by that point). We arrived at the hotel two days before the actual starting date of the con, While we were at it, we went our for pizza... and witnessed a bar fight, which was... fascinating, to say the least. I also once again dazzled Kaze with my ability to down a whole large pizza by myself (sauropods eat a lot more than lynxes you know). Afterwards, we went for a grocery stop which consisted of mostly Dr. Pepper cases (mainly for them and . I'm more of a Sprite and Mountain Dew kind of guy). Later that night, our fourth room member, , arrived at last, and after some chatting, we all got some shuteye... and engaged in a snoring competition, apparently.

Day 0: LATE Arrivals - There would be eleven of us altogether, and the rest of them would be arriving on this day. We also met up with CedrasCorvid (FA name pending) and his friend BiTo (FA name pending). In the meantime, we ate out at Ihop. It was around here that (Kuro) arrived to join the group, and I was thrilled to see him since he couldn't make it last year. However, the rest of the arrivals would be coming in late. While that was sorting itself out, Kaze, GL, Kuro, and I decided to go ahead and tackle the pre-registration line, which was about as agonizing as my stairs mishap from last year. My poor legs... Anyway, GL and I passed the time by playing Smash Bros in line, and we got through, only for poor Kuro to realize he hadn't actually pre-registered. And I thought my legs were going to be tortured. Anyway, after that, the next two members of the group arrived: and , my first time meeting them both in person. We all hung out and ordered pizza... or tried to, because they cancelled the order and didn't refund us. Had to settle for burgers... which got our orders slightly wrong (I hate mayonnaise...). After that we hung until it was time for sleep. Another snoring competition initiated.

Day 1: The Gang's All Here - The actual first day of the con, and we finally met up with the last remaining member of the group, that being , attending his first ever con. It was a treat to meet my fellow scaly boi in person at last. We got on with opening ceremonies plus, of course, the fat fur meet-and-greet. Ozzi suited up for this panel, and I got to be his spotter, my first time spotting for a fursuiter at a con. Lot of firsts for me during this honestly. After leaving the fat fur meet, we came across a pair of thick dogs, who go by ThiccMommaL and Lux_hound on Twitter (not sure what their FA names are), and they were nice enough to give me a sammich, a thick, soft, cozy sammich. Ozzi got one too. A bit later, while heading to the game room, we ran into in suit. I was curious what she was doing at the game room (I later found out that she sat on Kaze). Later that day, we got pizza (and this time had better luck aside from one pizza lacking sausage when we ordered sausage). Anyway, after that, another night, another hang out (and I fell asleep with my eyes slightly open at one point, apparently), and another snoring competition.

Day 2: Food, and lots of it - Today was the day of the macro/micro meet up for me, so that's where I went. I found an old buddy I met at the previous TFF there, , who's making some business for himself, and honestly, good for him! He did take a spill while trying to hold up a light for the POV camera. Thankfully he wasn't hurt, which is the most important thing. Ozzi joined later with Kuro spotting. I was surprised to see Ozzi at the macro/micro meet at first, until Kuro reminded me that the foxy has a shrink ray. I keep forgetting about that. After that meet-up, I ran into . I was surprised they didn't show up at the fat fur meet the previous day, until I found out later that their trip was short due to fund issues. That sucks, but it was nice to be able to hug that big ol' suit once again. A big highlight of this day, though, was going to the artist's den and meeting in person, and he and I gushed about birds and how underrated they are. This guy gets it! Later we went out for thai, the same place where I tormented myself with shrimp and rice to the spiciest degree without an adequate cooling source last year. This time, though, I remembered to ask for a cup of ice to pour my wine in, so haHA! I learned! Speaking of which, GL says they didn't imagine me being a drinker (note: I drink mainly on special occassions, and this is one, right?) Anyhoo, we went back to the con, hung out, played Kaze's Crushing Force, ordered more food, watched videos (of which poor Kuro got jumpscared by one), and we finished the night with, you guessed it, another snore-off.

Day 3: MOAR Food! - The last day of a con is always the most mellow, but we made the most of it. Neon had to leave early sadly, but it was still great to meet him, and I'm was so happy to see how much fun he had at his first con. We later decided to eat out again (right after I ordered a foot-long hotdog and chicken tenders...), but I treated it as an appetizer and just went for shrimp scampi at the restaurant. Also more wine. Afterwards, we watched the closing ceremony, packed up, said our goodbyes for now and got ready to get going. The night wasn't over just yet though. There was one more thing: obtaining a new PC that Kaze and Toby built for me last month. I'm still floored that they did this for me, but totally grateful.

Day 3 and a Half?: Electronics - It turned out that I needed a wireless adapter for that PC. Since Toby and Necrolli were still in town with Kaze, I went to meet them again and got not only a wireless adapter, but also a new controller and even my first ever game capture card. I'm closer to actually being able to stream games for once, and maybe in the future I'll let you guys know if I'm broadcasting, 'ey?

So that was my TFF weekend, and actually rooming at the con helped make it truly feel like I was a part of it (not to mention avoiding parking issues).

Anyway, it's back to work for me now, so get ready, because I'm doing a YCH tomorrow! Macro March isn't over you know~

Due to some... complications, two of the winners have dropped out, those being for slots C and F. So this means that the runner-up for those two slots will be awarded the win instead.

HOWEVER, here's the thing. While slot F does have a runner-up, slot C does not, as no one else had bid on it. With the previous winner of that slot dropping out, that slot is now unclaimed. So for that reason, I'm extending the bidding time on slot C. The slot will freshly restart at the starting bid as well.

So here's the thing, I previously opened commissions back in the middle of December trying to get a batch of four in before Christmas. I didn't though, so I decided to let the Christmas pic be the last pic of last year and just move the two commissioners I did get to the first batch of the new year so that I can hit the ground running.
