Posted 3 years agoMaybe it's just age, y'know like I've reached a point in my life, a maturity and understanding through all of my past experiences and mistakes and denials and tears... and I've hurt so many friends that no longer wish to talk to me ever again, but I completely understand? Experience has taught me, as I'm sure it has a lot of you, or it will eventually, that once you fuck up and a person leaves, they're done with you, that's it. That relationship is just over, and 98% of the time, it's never going to change. I'll bring up the age thing again, because it's taken me until 31 to understand this, and to accept it responsibly despite my best instincts telling me that I want to beg forgiveness, or message them again and just say hi, try to get a dialogue going and maybe start anew. Just.. no.
I'm sure so many folks here can relate, right. When a relationship goes sour, and you know it's your fault, and you reflect on it for years until finally you think maybe it's time to try talking about it and rebuild that bridge. So the hard thing to accept is that there is just no rebuilding it, and going to them about your feelings of regret, regardless of how good your intentions are and how sorry you are, will only spark up pain and resentment from them, no matter how long its been. You CANNOT rebuild those bridges, you just can't. The best you could hope for is that someday, one of those former friends or lovers will contact you with a hi and open up themselves, that's the only time it's okay to try to make it right, but even then they probably never will do that. Why? Because they moved on, and you can't come crawling back once they do. Once that connection is severed that's it.
Usually this happens because the relationship they decided to leave was abusive in some form or another. Over the years I've lost so many friends, and never did I intend to hurt any of them or be abusive or cruel. Yet I've realized over time how bad my habits were, how hurtful my actions and choices were, how abusive and manipulative and selfish I was with people for the sake of my own happiness and contentment with a day to day life of fun times and friendship and long distance love. I never considered how they felt, I didn't notice what I was truly doing. And those habits and mistakes are things I learned of and worked only after hurting and losing friends that were so good to me.
Nothing is ever that one sided, obviously. Sure, they had their problems, their own forms of abuse and made their own mistakes, but I'm owning up to mine, and I think after losing so many friends over the years, at a certain point I had to look at myself and say that it's not all of them. It's me. I'll never earn a single one of them back, and I think about them all the time. Why? Because I was in the wrong in each of those cases. And the fact that I can't do anything about fixing it, hurts. Yet that's the point. It NEEDS to hurt, pain is how we learn to avoid what caused it, whether that's stepping on a nail when we're four years old or crying all night from reminiscing about old friendships and regretting fucking it all up. Apologizing to them would only make ME feel better, it'd be selfish as fuck, when really the right thing to do is to just let them go and let them be happy and move on.
So that's why I'm here, because I won't bother any of the people who've left because of how I was and the mistakes I've made. I've grown, matured and I have new friends that I love and whom love me back, and I've used my past as a guide to never repeat those mistakes. I'm making this journal because I won't be selfish and seek any of them out and try to make myself feel better. I'll live with the pain of losing them and learn from each and every mistake I've made. But at the same time, I still want to apologize somehow, so that if any of them seek me out, if and when they're ready, they'll have their sincere apology from me. I'll live with it always, but for the sake of my own happiness and mental well being, it's time to move on and focus on building the friendships and relationships I have now.
It's taken me a long time to come to this realization and to understand it all. This isn't a response to drama, or anything like that. I've just decided out of the blue to handle my thoughts in a way I think will help me grow and move on, while making an attempt to make it up to the folks I've lost and hurt, even if I know they'll never see it.
So, to anyone I've lost, I'll always think about you and I'm sorry for everything. To those just visiting and reading, I hope if you relate that this helps in some way. Don't make the mistake of begging for forgiveness or seeking past friends out. Let them go, let them live their lives, focus on yourself and the people who are still with you, or the new friends you've made. You still have time ahead of you, so forgive yourself and let it go, learn from those mistakes and be better.

Posted 4 years ago9 years, today. :) On and off, over the years, we've broken up a few times, we've had lots of ups and downs but we're still hanging on strong. I met 
back in 2012, and the moment I did I knew he was special, heck we both knew we were in for a the long haul just days after we met. :D It's crazy to think back on those days. My 20s are behind me starting June 28th this year, and I spent all of it with him. I've done lots of art, made somewhat of a job out of it, met lots of folks, made lots of friends, lost friends.. but Sallyhot has been there through all of it.
He's the sweetest of guys. Not social, really. Anybody who has met him will find out quick that he really only shows up for me. Otherwise, he's out hanging with his buddies, jamming on his guitar, or gaming and watching stuff with his gal. :) After 9 years you tend to learn a person inside and out. No one gets me like he does. As for me, I'm Sally. I come with all sorts of problems, but he's always there to make me feel better and help me sort them out. He's frustrating too. Stubborn, doesn't give me my way. But he's always willing to compromise and listen, and never gets angry. Neither do I, for that matter. We just don't yell or fight, haha.
Everyone has flaws. he does, I do. but he loves mine, and I love his. It's who we are, and it's rare to find someone that gets you like that. Over the years we discovered that we just can't be without each other. Someday we'll get married, but until then, we might as well be, cause neither of us are going anywhere without the other! Sallyhot and Blazeymix were made for each other, and someday, amazing fans of Team Acorn will get to look forward to some new art between the two of us once more.
If you're reading this, I love you, hun! Happy Anniversary! Next year is the big one! ;)

Posted 5 years agoSo, thanks to a kind comment on FA, it's been brought to my attention that... finding out info about any of these projects lately is REALLY tough! I guess it would be! but I never really thought about it until that comment. SO, I'm making a journal here for anybody who wishes to know just what the heck is going on with Chronicles of Acorn, Taking Sally(s) Pie, Team Acorn, our patreon and more!
A lot has certainly changed in the past few months. :) Well, last year in general really!
As some of you know, Team Acorn was temporarily(Well, permanently at first) disbanded! There were lots of reasons for this, both personal between
sallyhot and myself and then work related. Sallyhot just lost his flow for awhile, he needed a break from it all, so production on TSP halted completely and the patreon sorted withered by until
AUSARMY took the reigns from him. Anyway, in December of last year, Team Acorn returned officially, with Sallyhot fully back into art, and me as well! as I had taken a long break and even made a journal about possibly leaving the art biz for good for awhile. SO! It's been great getting back into it, and Team Acorn is now far from dead. :) Sallyhot and I are back at it! And we got a lot of plans going forward with both new and old projects.
So, how about Taking Sally(s) Pie? The comic everyone seems to love and hate! Love, for how sexy and good it is, but hate for how damn long it takes for a new page! Well, technically, TSP finished with page 10! The first issue of it anyway. :) When Sallyhot decided to take a break, page 10 was his last page, and I decided to look for a new artist to continue on where he left off. SO! I decided the original TSP was done, ending the now "Issue #1" at page 10! AusArmy took on Issue #2, and completed a total of 8 wonderful pages, continuing the sexy story which I edited and rewrote based on Sallyhot's original idea. I'll be posting pages 2-8 sometime soon! Though I'm not sure when I'll find the time to colour them. Time will tell! Even so, I'm sure you guys want to know if there will be more pages. Well! Issue #2 is officially finished at 8 pages. So where it goes from here, is up in the air at the moment! I will say though, that Sallyhot has expressed an openness to working on Issue #3 and finishing what he started! So stay tuned, because someday Taking Sally(s) Pie will make a comback! For right now, it's on hiatus, as Sallyhot and I are working on a new project that we are both more than interested in, and part of the reason TSP took so long, was because the more Sallyhot worked on it, the more he realized, he didn't care for the smut he was drawing anymore! So this new project is something he's super into, and I'll be talking about it in a bit!
Now, Chronicles of Acorn! This project might seem like.. the game that you've heard of many times by now, but have never played or seen gameplay of! However, if you're a patron of ours, you've definitely been given many chances to try it out! And many more will follow(Especially tonight), because I'm still working on it, creating new areas, battles, stories, and we're getting new sprites for the battles! Today I'm actually working on it some more! and I'll be sending the patrons of www.patreon.com/pokebuns a new playable build when I'm done working tonight. :)

Maybe we should just suck it up and post it! but.. it's getting closer and closer to that place we want! So just hold on a little longer! As far as what specifically is being worked on for CoA right now, aside from implementing fresh fully new battle sprite sheets for Princess Sally and now Bunnie Rabbot, I'm working on implementing Fiona into the story of Episode 3! I lost a lot of progress on a map I was working on when my hard drives died a month ago... so I'm also working on redoing the map and writing some new story events to introduce Fiona and add her to the party. I'll keep you guys updated soon on progress for CoA!

PokeBuns was our new big project, but once again, AusArmy needed to step away due to irl things, thus when offering Sallyhot the position, he was glad to take it over as he's really into the story and content! That is what the new project is! :) PokeBuns! A sexy pokemon themed furry comic written by me and drawn by Sallyhot, coloured by me! The comic has 3 pages on patreon atm that AusArmy has worked on, they're gorgeous! However, Sallyhot wants to start things from scratch and he's helped me rewrite the story a bit to be a little more kinkier in some spots. All the characters involved are anthro OCs of mine, really sexy buns that we're sure you guys will like! The pokemon will be Gardevoir of course! among other sexy and popular choices like Braixen ;) I'm actually planning on doing some polls so folks can help decide what pokemon they'd like to see in the comic. It'll be fun! Anyway, this whole week, Sallyhot has been working on the first new page!

A lot has certainly changed in the past few months. :) Well, last year in general really!
As some of you know, Team Acorn was temporarily(Well, permanently at first) disbanded! There were lots of reasons for this, both personal between
sallyhot and myself and then work related. Sallyhot just lost his flow for awhile, he needed a break from it all, so production on TSP halted completely and the patreon sorted withered by until
AUSARMY took the reigns from him. Anyway, in December of last year, Team Acorn returned officially, with Sallyhot fully back into art, and me as well! as I had taken a long break and even made a journal about possibly leaving the art biz for good for awhile. SO! It's been great getting back into it, and Team Acorn is now far from dead. :) Sallyhot and I are back at it! And we got a lot of plans going forward with both new and old projects.
So, how about Taking Sally(s) Pie? The comic everyone seems to love and hate! Love, for how sexy and good it is, but hate for how damn long it takes for a new page! Well, technically, TSP finished with page 10! The first issue of it anyway. :) When Sallyhot decided to take a break, page 10 was his last page, and I decided to look for a new artist to continue on where he left off. SO! I decided the original TSP was done, ending the now "Issue #1" at page 10! AusArmy took on Issue #2, and completed a total of 8 wonderful pages, continuing the sexy story which I edited and rewrote based on Sallyhot's original idea. I'll be posting pages 2-8 sometime soon! Though I'm not sure when I'll find the time to colour them. Time will tell! Even so, I'm sure you guys want to know if there will be more pages. Well! Issue #2 is officially finished at 8 pages. So where it goes from here, is up in the air at the moment! I will say though, that Sallyhot has expressed an openness to working on Issue #3 and finishing what he started! So stay tuned, because someday Taking Sally(s) Pie will make a comback! For right now, it's on hiatus, as Sallyhot and I are working on a new project that we are both more than interested in, and part of the reason TSP took so long, was because the more Sallyhot worked on it, the more he realized, he didn't care for the smut he was drawing anymore! So this new project is something he's super into, and I'll be talking about it in a bit!
Now, Chronicles of Acorn! This project might seem like.. the game that you've heard of many times by now, but have never played or seen gameplay of! However, if you're a patron of ours, you've definitely been given many chances to try it out! And many more will follow(Especially tonight), because I'm still working on it, creating new areas, battles, stories, and we're getting new sprites for the battles! We're shifting testing of the game to our forums from Patreon, which can still be used to support development of the game and funding assets! However the game isn't for profit, so y'know, go to our forums and sign up to play it! :) No patreon purchase necessary!

Truth is, we didn't intend to release public testing of the game till we felt the quality was high and the assets were more developed. We wanted the game to look great! However, we're a very small team(Just he and I), and hiring spriters to do sprites for us has worked out fine, except none of them are consistently working and we haven't had any updates on new sprites the entire years thus far. So all in all, if you're hyped for this game, it's still in a very very early build, and thus most of the assets are base and borrowed. It doesn't seem like we'll be getting a lot more until we get better funding for the game to hire more active spriters :/ Or unless we get volunteers or offers from spriters that would like to work for us on this project. Even so! If we kept waiting to release this game publically at this rate.. ya'll wouldn't be able to play it till 2020 or something :/

He's quite good at sprites! however as he's busy with CoA he might not be taking on big sprite commissions but it doesn't hurt to note him about sprite work!

Posted 8 years agoI dont really have much to say. I'm not usually the type to cry over celebs dying but Adam West is different. I'm not sure if it's because Batman is my favorite superhero, or how many years I laughed at his silly jokes on Family Guy, or if it's because I named my cat after him in 2011 when I adopted him.
I just know I'm very sad, and I'll miss Adam West a lot. It's hitting me hard. This isn't about me though, I dont need anybody's comfort, I'll be ok. This is about honoring an amazing actor that made so many people laugh and smile.
