New Foxtrot video
Posted 13 years agoI made this for the Foxtrot happening tonight. It has all of the pictures I took of all previous Foxtrots. Enjoy!
These might surprise/ shock you
Posted 13 years agoHopefully shit falls apart after I die of old age. I do not think that humanity as a whole will actually do something about this.
I am curious as to how I might result on these tests.

Exercise
Posted 13 years agoI am starting up a new routine which I hope I will be able to stick to. I ride my bike down the road to the gym and then I swim laps for an hour. I get wore out every time. Today I got very hungry half an hour into my swim. I am exhausted right now. I think I will do some weight lifting tomorrow and do rotations like that. If I stick to this plan I should trim down pretty quick and hopefully build more muscle mass.

CIF
Posted 13 years agoI just turned in a lot of my TA-50 (army shit). Most people were pretty shocked to see how much I actually had. Lucky for me,
cianthefur was there to help me out. If it wasn't for him then it would have taken me two appointments to do this. I have a few things to wash and try to turn back in. After that I should be done with CIF and won't have any gear to deal with. :Ð

Posted 13 years agoWell, today it is official. I am starting the process to get medically separated, finally. Current estimates have the average at one year, but it could be anywhere from six to nine months. The fastest was four months, but that was an oddity.
I already have my first night out of the army planned. (Spoiler Alert) I will spend the night alone with
cianthefur and I will ignore all others. Later days I should be willing to have others over or hang out. But first night is total privacy. >:Þ
I will post updates as major developments or random rants occur.

List some things that FA has brought into your life (the good things that it has done for you):
1. Close friends
2. A new world view
3. A more open mindset
Now, list some things that FA has brought into your life that you wish it hadn't (things you don't necessarily like):
1. Creepers
2. Art with massive body parts (a dick that size would drain out all of the blood in the body and perhaps even break the hip)
3. Furry drama (I try to ignore it)
Just remember you have to take the good with the bad.
Down below, post a comment with the 3 things you like and dislike, or make your own journal and link it to me :). You can list as many things as you want, I just wanted to keep it simple.
Ready? Go.

Camping
Posted 13 years agoThis weekend,
and I went camping. I took my Jeep up to his place and we set out. We didn't get as deep into the mountains as I wanted to, but the site we stopped at had a great view of Devils Head. For you map savvy people, the co-ordinates are:
39°14.304' N
105°03.440' W
E 8883ft
When we got in place I started setting up the tent. I have a REI Half Dome 2 tent. It has been a while since I've used it and I forgot how to set it up. After a few failed attempts I decided to read the instructions on the bag and then it was set up with no problem.
During all of this,
made the fire. We ate MREs (besides snacks, the only food we had the entire weekend) and afterwards, had some S'mores. :Ð The sky was awesome and I tried to take a few long exposure shots, but I couldn't get the focus right. It was starting to get pretty cold by this point so we decided to bed down. I was surprised how warm it was inside the tent. I used the BDU style sleeping bag which kept me nice and toasty. Cian had a civilian bag which didn't work out so well for him.
Saturday started out kind of chilly and warmed up before getting cold and snowy. The worst part was the wind. When Cian took a nap because he said he was cold, I waited outside. I eventually fell asleep in a chair. xÞ After I woke up I was cold so I went in the tent too. When night fell the sky cleared up and I was finally able to take some awesome sky shots. We also tried some camera tricks, they came out much better than expected. I will post them once they are processed.
Sunday started out basically the same way. After eating we started breaking camp and packing up. We took some pics in partial suits for a while. Once we left we stopped every now and then to check out other places. We took some time to explore an abandoned quartz quarry. We explored some trails and then left the mountains and returned to Castle Rock.
Overall, it was überfun. It would have been great if we had a double bag so that we could have cuddled. Oh well, maybe next time. http://www.rei.com/product/808845/r.....e-sleeping-bag
Edit: there was a lot of trash and broken glass at every camp site we stopped at. People really suck.

Fun in Durango
Posted 13 years agoBefore I go into the topic of this journal, the entire work week consisted of being on a detail where we were tearing down concertina wire. The first location was built some time around 2000 to 2004. It was to simulate a location in Egypt. Once we figured out how to effectively deal with the stuff the only thing that held us back was arrival of dumpsters. The other location was built in the 1970s with barbed wire in concertina. This was some oddball shit. The outside was triple strand c-wire with a three strand barbed wire fence as a secondary barrier. There was no berm and the only fighting positions were facing a draw that led up to it. The rest was open ground for a mile or so in each direction. What were they thinking and why did it take thirty years for them to decide to tear it down? We found signs with Russian lettering on it and an old pull tab pepsi can. Wow.
Anyways, I skipped out on last formation because I am shamtastical like that. I met
cianthefur in the parking lot and after I changed out of ACU we went to Durango. We got there pretty late and met up with his friends. We chatted for a bit then went to bed.
The next day we got up around 1100 and waited about two hours for Cian's friend to get ready. We got some damn good BBQ and then walked around in the town. We saw a lot of cool stores and bars. There was a photography store that had some damn good pictures for sale. The cheapest one I saw was over $1,000. I also managed to find a store that had a lot of minerals, gems, and fossils. I chatted to the guy for a bit but sadly, my compatriots are not as interested in geology as I am and we had to go. We ate pizza and wandered into a bar. We later figured out that we didn't have to pay the parking meter since it was a weekend.
Sunday was spent going to Honeyville and trying out various whipped honey and wine. We got a few things and went back into Durango and chilled out by a creek behind the motel. Cian and I started back and got some good food on the way back. We got back on post and he put his stuff in his car and went back home. I can't wait to hug him again.
All in all, it was a kickass weekend. I can't wait until we are able to do this sort of thing again. Hopefully next time there will be a hot tub. :3

Posted 13 years agoBratwurst!
Posted 13 years agoTonight,
cianthefur and I cooked up some Bratwurst and added potatoes, onions, garlic, cucumber, and red pepper. It was überyummy. :3
Next time I have that dish I will have some bread to go with it. My stomach got a little upset afterwards.
I can't wait until I am out of the army and I am living with my mate. This weekend was awesome but it went by much too quickly.

Next weekend, Durango! *does the foxy dance* :Ð

Titanic in 3D and other Shit
Posted 13 years agoThis weekend went by pretty well.
cianthefur and I spent Thursday at
lucificifus and
Circan's place. The epic factor of them in their place is of the epic scale. Seriously, thanks for having us. ^_^
The rest of the weekend was spent at
wintergreenskunks place.
Kiasha was in Kansas this weekend. :\
Saturday night was the FoxTrot! I had a blast being in suit. I am now at the point where I want to suit everywhere. I did take some pics towards the end of the night. I still have to process and post them. I'll put that off until later. There was a crowd of people that poured in. Apparently they were from a party bus and did not expect to see us there. I bumped into a few and one girl said that I made her night. I gave her a muzzle kiss. :Þ I also lost my underwear that night, lol.
Sunday was spent cuddling
until the wee hours of the afternoon. We later went to Castle Rock and hiked the rock. We cuddled at the top while talking about a few things. We went to DQ afterwards and had dinner. We didn't have anything else to do and in order to stay together longer (I want as much time with him as possible) we saw Titanic in 3D. For the most part this was 2D Titanic with some 3D aspects. I enjoyed it since the 3D wasn't overdone. My favorite part of the movie was when
rubbed my chest and arms. :3
Anyways, I am back in my room which is at 78°F no matter what I do. FTA.

I SAW BILL NYE!
Posted 13 years agoYes, Bill Nye the Science Guy. He gave a presentation at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I was there with
cianthefur. We really enjoyed it, the guy is extremely funny. He told us about sundials, Mars rovers, global warming, ice cores, human population, the sustainability of the environment, ect.
Afterwards he answered questions. The first question he gave an answer that covered the question I wanted to ask. It was about human populations. My favorite reply was to whether or not he thinks organized religion is a barrier to science and progression. He backed it up with historical evidence to the fact. The church killed people, imprisoned others, excommunicated more, all because they said the Earth orbits the sun, the sun is the center of the solar system, and there are moons orbiting Jupiter. I started clapping and the whole crowd joined in. :Ð
When it was over I tried to get close to him. I wanted to shake his hand and thank him for all of his hard work. Sadly, the crowd got between us and he left quickly. :( Hopefully I will get another chance.
You can change the world! SCIENCE!

What Do You Say to Grieving Non Believers?
Posted 13 years agoIf you know someone who’s grieving a death, and they don’t believe in a God or in any sort of afterlife… what do you say?
http://freethoughtblogs.com/greta/2.....non-believers/
This article makes many great points and suggestions. I had to share this. I will also link it on my profile page. I hope people will read it if I ever have to experience the death of a loved one.
The thing that irritates me the most is when people say, "They are in a better place." I didn't know that being lifeless in a casket that will soon to be in the ground is a better place than being alive and with their loved ones.

Weekend in Review
Posted 13 years agoThis weekend
cianthefur decided to focus on ourselves. We got a hotel room which was pretty cheap considering that it was up to par with name brand hotels.
We ate some dinner, got some beer, and enjoyed the night.
The next day we got breakfast at Waffle House which was next door then we hanged out at
wintergreenskunk's place. We chilled out and got pretty goofy with the shit we were doing.
tried to install a virus called Windows 7 on my Macbook. He decided to wait until I did a backup. We had some BBQ and went back to the hotel.
On Sunday we woke up to a super chilled room which was kind of nice because it made spooning necessary. xÐ We got breakfast at some salad place. We went to the Aquarium and I got to touch a stingray. :Ð I think it was a little overpriced for what was there. I think for $16 per person they should have had a crotchfruit free day. We spent the rest of the day at Cian's friend's house where we ate popsicles and chilled out on the patio.
Oh, with today being April 1, Cian and I thought it would be funny to pull an April fools joke. I posted a journal saying we got into a fight and that I broke his nose. After I posted another journal with the Troll lol lol guy which should be pretty clear to everyone that the previous journal was a prank, some people were still butt hurt, at least I think they were. In my mind 1 Apr is not about being funny, it is about playing tricks. If anyone is still upset:
