Posted 7 years agoHey guys! Long time no see, in the recent times FuzzWorks has had some downtime as life has been a little bit of a bumpy ride for myself. I am Happy to say that I will be relaunching the online store and have jumped ship to Shopify for online retail and hopefully better organization. This is just the start of something new and hopefully successful. Each and every order will provide me with the proper funding I need to create new and better fursuit parts for all to use on their projects. Hello, I’m sorry for the major lack of communications and delays regarding fursuits. At this time I’ve been dealing with some pretty major circumstances that has control over my life currently which has haunted 90% of all work. We are currently around 4 months delay on all orders and it has been a very unsettling venture that I was not prepared for. We had moved into a new place, larger more space to work etc. it was a good change that would have sped work up without being cramped in a tiny apartment but upon moving in on the 3rd day our landlord had come forth and told us the house was for sale and we were left in the dark on the situation, we had to keep the work room clean and clear until the house had sold our landlord had told us it would sell fast well it didn’t.. It ended up taking 3 months and throughout that period there were people walking in and out of our home, it wasn’t my favorite thing and ultimately if we didn’t comply we wouldn’t have a home, on top of that on January 27th I was pulled over for a loud exhaust and without any explanation I was later being out in handcuffs, apparently my license has been suspended since may 2016. I was uninformed of this and it came up as news to me, turns out a ticket from 5 years ago popped up as not paid due to a town clerks filing mistake and now I have been suffering because of one little mistake. For the last month I have been in and out of court, my license and vehicle taken. I had also switched to a new job with great pay and a good flexible work hour to help save this business and get work done, I have been without transportation in 30 days it has killed all morale and extra energy and I’ve been scraping by with the bills. I had to pull my life together and I’m sorry for this absence. I never expected any of this to happen and I know a lot of you are angry but I need to beg of you to have a little patience with me. I just got my truck and license back and final court date is in two weeks, all of this is coming to a close. The house is also in final pending sale so we don’t have to worry about people coming in and out anymore.
I am sending this email to every commissioner, I’d like to apologize to every one of you for dropping off, I needed time to get my life together before I could even think about working on suits. I put every ounce of effort I can in these creations and I want you guys to have the best product I can produce. If I paid money to someone (Which I have) I would want it as soon as possible to so you guys are right to be upset with me I completely understand.
I soon will be writing up a timeframe to work and estimate some completion dates for you all, as well as personally email every one of you periodically throughout the week to discuss your orders and see where we stand. I’d like to do whatever I can for you to make this right and try to save what’s left of this company. My life has impacted something I’ve been trying to build and I have to take a lot of the blame for it. I’m still learning how to manage this, I still have a lot to figure out and over time I hope I do. I love bringing your fursonas to life it’s a passion of mine and I intend on doing just so if you allow me to.
Depending on deadlines expect some shift changed to the schedule, I will try to work with you all reasonably with estimated completion dates once I bust out a full year schedule. I need to try to organize and prioritize the oldest orders to be fair and get them out of the way. General Updates
Posted 8 years agoIt's been awhile since I tossed in an update so this is whats on the agenda for the next few months.
Suits:
This month we will be working on MFF deadlines as well as moving. We are looking into a house right now to rent and on the 15Th this month is our possible moving date. Things will possibly get delayed but worst case scenario persists we will keep our workshop functional for a few weeks in the old apartment. Hopefully, this does not delay us on work but expects possible delays in communication, progress, and general work all around. Darby and I also have fulltime jobs now, to afford the new place and stay on top of bills this is a better plan for the long run. New house, more space, better production times etc.
Etsy:
Etsy has been a nest egg for us for additional income and aid of progression for newer all around better parts for our suits and because of this every part we create for DIY use on our suits we will be slowly adding those items to the shop for you guys to purchase. This months goal is to have five or so noses added to the shop. General Canine, two Felines and two Hyena (stripped & spotted). Awaiting silicone to start. Check back in here and there as the shop does get turned off for us to catch up on orders and get things shipped out in a timely manner.
Commissions:
CLOSED - Queue is to be knocked out slowly and when we believe it's at an acceptable number we will stick to purely making premade fursuits. We will occasionally open a slot for custom auctions if you wish to have one made, but that will be far from now. Because of our jobs, we will be breaking down and fully reconstructing our schedule while maintaining time for us to simply relax. When a schedule is made we will assess the state of everyone's orders and get our batch style system revised.
Deadlines:
I cannot express this enough. We will NO LONGER be accepting hard deadlines. Furry Weekend Atlanta will be our last convention dates for deadlines and from that point on we will only be finishing those who paid in order from first to last.
Communication:
We can only guarantee business communication through email only (Fuzzworksfursuits@gmail.com). Facebook, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, and Instagram are NOT acceptable forms of communication. There are too many places to maintain and keep track of everyone's orders, this will allow us a centralized area of communication for faster response and ease of tracking information.

Commissions, Life, Plans, and Goals!
Posted 10 years agoAlright here is the official lowdown on whats happening, and is going to be happening in the next few months to a year.
Come January we will be moving to Buffalo NY our home state from OH and things will be delayed a few weeks while we unpack and set up shop efficiently again.
Now to commissions, we have some back orders to complete only a few left and to mail them out, this will be the plan for this month primarily. As far as orders go we are open right now and open this month until January first, new years day. We will be taking orders for any parts, tails, feet, paws, heads, bodies, everything you get the idea were open! But.. once January first hits we are closing for a year, during the closing the only way you will be able to purchase any suits from us are premade partials and fullsuits of our species and liberty to Furbuy or dealers den. We may still consider tail orders otherwise. So if you are looking to order one of our custom creations of your characters the time is now.
Reasoning why you say? The next year is a focus for us, I personally will be doing a lot of custom work to the shop to make sure every suit is different and unique but also functional. Items like this would be electrical, resin based heads, resin teeth, noses, claws, foam cast heads, feet, etc. beyond that I'd like to create variants of these items for each species so one dog nose we will have about 5 dog noses so you the customer along with us have variety to choose from.
The items we will be making will be on our new website for release of next year with a full online shop where you can click and buy which ever items you would like. Along with that we will also have cleaning items for sale such as scented sprays, and brushes for online sale made by us. Towards the end of the year as we progress given everyone's suits from the 2015 order season is completed, the online shop is done, and the projects Id like to make are completed as well we will be doing dealers tables for premade items at most major and minor conventions throughout the US.
Despite all that there will be general updates to suits, I will be taking a few weeks off to test some new materials and get patterns made up for some ideas of mine. I will be looking to make more lightweight but also more pack away friendly suits. My heads are a little more solid than most for durability, one of the goals is to keep them sturdy but also lighter, with the right time I will be able to do just that. During this time I will also be testing out a bunch of new fabrics and materials for changes in style and looks and most definitely will be playing with styles slightly more.
I think that about sums it up!

Posted 10 years agoOkay so those who have known or have not, Darby and myself have recently lost our apartment we were going to move into. As a result we were homeless for a little while, commission work had been halted for the move initially and things were planned to go back to normal a month or so later, since that happened we had no choice and obviously had to set back further.. Which I know reflects on you and we do apologize and please understand the situation has been out of our power. We now have a place to live and is significantly cheaper on our end and we will be able to save money and get major things on a roll again. Now that being said in regards to commission info this is a notice directly to buyers as well. In about two weeks we we have some money being built back up again, first priorities are to pay past debts to our last months apartment situation and then forward to shipping the completed things we owe to our customers, including mainly small fursuit parts. We are currently on a two week delay to unpack our things and setup new shop so the wait isn't forced just a setback to reset our work and organization workspace, so again please understand. Secondly any owed products and suit commission progress is no longer directed toward me, Darby is in charge of commission info, management, updates, and any question. Throughout the years I've learned mostly my anger will get the best of me under stress, Darby's simply just better at it in regards of costumer service. Anything we owe as of right now including things to be shipped are packed and we do not have a progress on things currently, we don't know where everyone's at until we unpack, things are just too scattered at the moment. New policies will be in effect regarding TOS, and general contracts and commission contracts will be STRONGLY enforced. These contracts are to help us and help you the customers in any situation that may occur. Anything and everything we do regarding policy updates will be posted in separate journals on my FA here. We are also going to enforce the use of the Trello app for updates and any major work in progress pictures, this will mainly be enforced to help us lessen the amount of communication to a degree so we can work more and talk less, too much time waiting on replays or sidetracking conversations that may or may not occur. The Trello link will be on my Furaffinity main page in plain view, so please download the app it is IOS & Android. Bigger things to come soon as well to help all of this info to be in one place and an online quote generator which will be included with a small fee upon the quote to show you are in fact a serious buyer, there has been too many people that flake out on us and we as a business cannot be tossed around like this and have time be wasted. The website will have a new name, Flickr link with finished projects, the generator and contact information and helpful links, this should be up within a few months as I have been slowly gathering the data we need and getting the proper professional help with setting this up to make it easier for everyone.

Posted 10 years agoTo those who may have noticed and may not have, as of June 18th 2015 I sustained an injury to my arm leaving me pretty much useless to everything. My arm was dislocated with a work related injury at home; they had to sedate me and put my arm back into place, due to this and the same previous injury four years ago the damage has worsened and will require a surgery on both of my shoulders and back. The main ligaments in my rotator cuff have become completely torn and unattached; as a result the joint bone connecting has also been dented adding to the pain. Because of this unforeseen event I’m forced to wear an arm sling for 3-6 months depending on what the doctor says when I return to the checkup this week. When I get the surgery, which eventually is soon it is a guarantee that I WILL be forced to wear a cast for a month and an additional 5-8 months of physical therapy afterword.
As far as work goes most of you know that 
wounded-deer has been training under me as an apprentice to improve work production and develop of our business. Darby has made significant progress in the past month and will be working for me mainly full time, especially now that I personally will be out of commission for a while. She has essentially and primarily mastered the way I craft my hands, arm sleeves and tails as a good start, so she is now in charge of those, my main focus will be heads and bodysuits. Her next task to learn are hind paws, as far as new styles of paws and tails go I will be the creator then will be handed down to Darby to replicate and produce so you the public and commissioners will always have a different and unique product with the utmost quality that we are able to produce.
While Darby is working on other parts for suit orders against my doctors’ orders I will be trying my very hardest to work on heads and anything else I can. If my arm is in extreme pain I will NOT continue working on said projects until I can bare the pain as they do not medicate for this specific injury. Most of the time I owe you guys product, I owe you the best, and I kill myself mentally and physically every day to produce for you, even after my real job I go home to work on fursuits. That being said under this unfortunate circumstance I will be putting my health before my work, there WILL be delays and it’s very frustrating and unfortunate and I apologize entirely for this. It’s very important that you understand this and accept this as I myself don’t even have a choice, like I said I will still try to work when and where I can.
As a final notice to buyers, SOME of you this incident will not affect start/deadlines for your products, you can message me for details on if it applies to you or not. If you for any reason have questions on credibility of this event I will gladly show you pictures and or documents of this event happening. I apologize again for the inconvenience.

Posted 10 years agoDo to the semi-recent move to Ohio which has sent me in a recent spiral of lateness from work, bills, and mass amounts of fursuit work and orders to fill I have decided to have
wounded-deer take over my tail and paw commissions. I’ve spent a good time over a year training her and giving her my patterns to use and techniques. I myself am too caught up in work on Heads, feet, full suits, and general orders to accomplish these smaller tasks. So she will be taking my orders for small parts, you can still comment and note me for initial ordering and once all information and payment scheduling is handled you will be redirected to her for updates and shipping information. Prices are the same for these parts that I charge since they are still my style and my quality, everything is checked and overseen from me, complicated characters will be given the base price and then quoted for additional costs according to appropriate color add-ons and custom pieces, any questions on what we can do just ask and we will get back to you.If you have any questions regarding this update just comment below.

Life Updates, Moving, Etc.
Posted 11 years agoSo! I've lacked to upload stuff here. Facebook is wayyyyy easier. But I'll start to update my account more. Many fun exciting projects to be released and maybe some partnership deals! Big surprises. But my biggest one being ayyyy I'm moving! I will be moving to Kent Ohio, in about two months so delays will occur in said time as I settle in. I have to find a job primarily, that's my one ultimate goal. Mainly to buy my own insurance. As this progresses I will go to cons regularly like I do now but I'm going to get into the habit of hosting a dealers table to start selling premade items. I have to start ramping up my sales, especially to help afford cons and future projects. Ohio will be a fresh start, time to move out and expand and leave Central New York State. I will miss my friends dearly but alas I will visit as often as possible.

Quotes and Prices:
Quotes are done by directly messaging me or emailing me at yo.k170@hotmail.com. Please remember to attach an image of your characters reference sheet. I will not accept NSFW references, please keep that in mind. Add a simple brief description of the character, by that I mean emotional faces, style of desired costume, tooney, mean etc. Please remember to consider currency conversions when paying as well.
Concept Art:
Concept art is required when getting a quote. Please no NFSW. It should have 2-3 different views of the character you are wanting to get a costume of, or at least show most of the markings to where we can understand the design. We are not responsible for any markings that may have been missed that were not present clearly on the concept art.
Concept Alterations
Customers may get a re-quote if the concept/design of their character has changed. Contact us about any last minute changes to a design/concept, as smaller changes may not affect the time of completion or price. Anything that requires new needed materials will affect the price or time of completion.
Payment:
Paypal is the preferred payment method, but money orders and a chashier's check will work as well. Cash is accepted at conventions and in person. Email me for cash orders ad we can discuss it. We are not responsible for money that is lost in the mail. A 35% nonrefundable downpayment is required for fullsuits, partial suits and heads. All parts commissions like paws, hindpaws, tails, etc. must be paid in full. Payment plans are accepted with fullsuits of up to three payments, partials up to two payments and heads up to two payments.
Refund Policy:
0% complete - 70% refund
25% complete - 45% refund
50% complete - 20% refund
75% complete - no refund
100% complete - no refund
Upon commissioning, if you are not financially ready or are not happy with how the suit is coming out, you are entitled to be refunded ONLY if the suit is under 50% completed. Above explains how much you may be refunded depending on how much of the suit has been completed. This does not include the 30% nonrefundable downpayment inwhich we use to buy materials. Please be sure that you are financially ready to commission us. We have the right to terminate your commission at any time for any reason. You will be refunded with the estimated value of the work that was not completed based upon the percent system above, and any work that has been started and or completed will be altered and sold as a premade commission via Furbuy.com. If any harrasment or aggression occurs via any source of communication from the customer they will get a single warning to stop, if it continues and proof is relevant and will be used against them to immediately terminate the commission with a zero chance of refund and the project will be sold via auction in its current condition.
Shipping:
Shipping is not included with quotes. An address will be needed to determine shipping costs. We ship worldwide, shipping may be costly in places outside of the U.S. A tracking number is included with shipping. Shipping must be paid before the suit is sent out and will not be sent until shipping is paid.
Deadline:
At this time we do not offer deadlines or estimated completion dates. We will not rush to finish a costume and risk any quality and looks to the costume.We determine the order of suits depending on when customers finish paying. Because of this, suits may still move around on our queue. If you want a specific convention deadline we can discuss it over email and depending on the desired completion date we will charge a fee.
Work-In-Progress Pictures:
The customer can be provided with WIP shots of their suit while it is being made. These can be sent via email or via text if the customer would like to swap numbers. We will upload at our expense where we see fit. 5000 page veiws and 600 watchers!!!

Posted 12 years agoHello all, first off I'd like to thank everybody that has liked my suits so much and to those who compliment me it means a lot! I've been at this for a year now, since then I have gotten really really good, I had commissions through June-November and stopped them to sharpen my skills and it has paid off quite well. I am not a half-ass maker, I do like to take my time and do it right with the tools and time I have at hand. I'd like to keep this as a side business for the future and I'd like to consider my self going professional with it. I do have a website being made, I have not uploaded any of my body suits or a lot of new new stuff just teasers for now as I'm in development of moving to a new "brand name". I will continue to post a little sneak peaks now and again here but as for fullsuits I want to avoid just for the website purposes and transition, a new FA account will be created along with site links aswell. For you you can note me on any suit ordering questions. That being said I expect to be open around April, please keep on mind I'm a college student trying to achieve a computer science degree and of the time is not on my hand I will absolutely go with college over suit work that is understandable.

Posted 12 years ago As we grow and excel in our life's we face many hardships and challenges, this month was exceptionally hard for myself and others. I started this month with my closest friends, but quarrel was in the air. I left my mate it didmt seem right to me, I made my mistakes, many mistakes... But I did what I had to to make me happy. My dearest friend, I'd hope nothing but the best for her, I'd do anything for her, the chance opened and I took a shot in the dark and turns out she felt the same about me. It was a challenge to be with her, I dumbly have had a lot of people wanting to be with me only to be lied and toyed with I knew none of them were right for me, none compared to her. I ignored those that go behind my back and I stuck to my gut the one warm, feeling inside myself and its been the best choice of my life so far these few weeks are great with her. Even though I'm lied to by who were some of my closest "friends" I will let those go, I hurt them so its only fair right? I hurt a lot of people and I am sorry.. But I want what's best for me and if they cared they would too isnt that the right thing to do? Eh i don't know, I'm happy now, change comes and goes. Keep your friends close but always do whats best for you, you control yourself do what feels right the world around you is always changing, just because the world changes doesn't mean you have to aswell, choose your own path and follow it as long as your happy with your choice. Never let anyone put you down for it, that is probably the hardest challenge but if you can do it then congradulations and I wish you the best of luck.
