Room Party Preorders! & Hiatus
Posted 11 years agoHowdy!
GUESS WHAT?
Room Party the Game Pre-Orders are LIVE!
Click Here to go to the store!
While the game will be for general sale online starting Feb 22, if you pre-order, you'll be one of the first people to get your deck (after the KickStarter backers, of course.)
But wait! There's more!
The first 50 people to preorder both the Core Deck and the FurCon expansion will receive one copy of the limited edition bonus pack!
This will be the ONLY time the limited-edition packs will be available for sale online!
The first 50 have been sold! You can still preorder, though!
More info:
-Core Deck has 160 cards (See some here!)
-FurCon Expansion has 55 cards (see those, too!)
-Exclusive Limited-Edition KickStarter Cards:
The Hipster Pack, Guest Artist Pack, and Custom Cards
(in gold foil, yo. -- see 'em!)
...Or go straight to the store to preorder!
(PS, one of the project managers, Ottsel, will be answering questions if I don't get to them first!)
On another note...
-Later this month, I'll be at Furry Fiesta in Dallas and I am very excited! If you'll be there, come on by and say hi!
I'll be in the Dealer's Den, or running around at various GoH things!
-This spring, I'll be working on the cover and interior illustrations for Kyell's fourth book in the Out of Position series! The book will be out this summer, so be ready to get your Dev and Lee fix on.
-A little bit of a hiatus...
Maybe you've noticed we've been a little quiet recently!
From the start of this year and through spring, a couple other life-things are taking frontstage...
Kenket is perusing a pretty sweet job opportunity this spring, and Teagan's working on a couple solo comic projects plus some art management/layout design on the side.
So! Until next time! :]
Cheers,
-Blotch

(Here's a photo of the core deck!)
What the hell am I even talking about? Well, it's a card game about convention Room Parties. You build the best, and sabotage the rest!
More info and all that:
www.roompartygame.com
We developed the game seven years ago, and just last year with the help of a good friend, brought the project to KickStarter where it was funded (and then some!)
The Core Deck features 160 cards, each with custom artwork done by Mitti (Mandi Tremblay).
The FurCon Expansion Deck has 55 fur-related cards, with artwork by myself!
(Check out a couple cards from the FurCon deck: Popufur and Ruining the Magic)
There will be a VERY limited number of decks for sale at FurtherConfusion this weekend!
(KickStarter backers, your decks are hitting the postbox next month!)
You can find the Room Party game on my table, right next to Sofawolf Press! Come check it out and play a demo!
If you can't get to FC or you miss out on the limited number we'll have for sale there, fear not! The official online sales of the game will start in February (pre-orders in late January). We will do our best to make sure you don't miss out.

Into the New Year
Posted 12 years ago2013 was an interesting year, which is a polite way to say it wasn't terribly great. There were high points, low points, and arguably the latter tipped the balance scales. However, ever optimistic, I have faith 2014 will be better. At the very least, I hope it will be interesting.
In the (near) future:
2014 does have an auspicious beginning--New Years with good friends, followed almost immediately by flying to Melbourne, Australia for ConFurgence. I am incredibly honored, and excited (and still a little humbly baffled) they've invited me out as a guest! :]
(Twenty minutes after arrival, you will likely find me with a James Squire in each hand and on high-spider-alert.)
After my short stint down under--you'll find me at FurtherConfusion, San Jose, in the Dealer's Room, with stuff in the art show, yadda yadda, et cetera, et cetera.
In the present:
Room Party Game:
The project turned into something wholly more awesome than expected. There will be more news in the next couple of weeks on that.
You can, of course, stay tuned to the website or Twitter for info and updates!
In the (recent) past:
Some other stuff, namely Nordguard, is on hiatus for the moment. Life, responsibilities, bad luck, injury, poisonous snakes, vampires, miniature ponies with tiny hats...some of that sprang up and bit me and I need a little mental repair. It's a pretty overwhelming project on it's own, and when paired with an overwhelming year, it becomes the Everest of ambition. Needless to say, there's some base-camp acclimating to do, oxygen tanks to order, Sherpas to bribe, and maybe some miniature ponies with tiny hats to find.
Cheers,
-Blotch

You Could Ruin the Magic
Posted 12 years agoHeya!
The Room Party Kickstarter has a few more days left! If you missed my previous journal about how it's a great time to get on board for loads of free stuff--check that out!
Meanwhile! In the Furry Expansion deck lies the infamous "Ruining the Magic" card!
Instead of just making it a single pledge level and let it go to the first person who wanted it--we figured it'd be a bit more fair to make it an auction!
So, if you forever wanted to be immortalized as "that guy," now's your chance!
It's a short 3-day Auction, so don't hesitate!
The auction winner will have his/her character drawn smarmily removing their fursuit head (click here to see the mock-up.) The card art will be included in the Room Party Furry Expansion.
The winner will also receive the original artwork (which I'll be doing,) plus a copy of the card game and the expansion. (Already pledged? Awesome, you get another copy to give someone over the holidays!)
Thanks for looking!

Pefect Time To Get On-Board!
Posted 12 years agoIt's a great time to get on board the Room Party Game's Kickstarter, if you haven't already!
If you like super fun, tongue-in-cheek, easy to play party games that don't take a million years-- this is right up your alley!
We've met our stretch goal to make the Furry Expansion, so that's a 100% definitely happening! (I'll be doing the artwork for that 50-60 card set!)
So! A pledge of $25 will get you a core deck of 160 cards, the exclusive bonus cards, a small set of blank cards, PLUS a Furry Expansion! You're never going to get such a great deal on the game again!
There's only 6 days left!
ALSO--There is ONE SLOT LEFT for a Fursuit Card! If you want, you can have your fursuit/character forever immortalized in the game! (Your character/suit must be an original creation of yours--you have to own all the rights to the character. We'll be doing a small 3x4"ish illustration of your suit/character for use in the card game, and part of what you'll receive as a backer is the original painting.)
No idea what this is about? Check out my original journal, or the KickStarter for more information!

Four Cons, Four Weeks
Posted 12 years agoYeesh, it's been a crazy month. Four conventions, three of which are the largest ones we'll be doing this year, all in a four week span. It's been exhausting, to say the least!
* AnthroCon was especially great this year. We had a lot to celebrate that particular weekend, and being there over the 4th of July and the fireworks was just the icing on the cake.
* ComicCon International was giant, incredible, and overwhelming, as always. Juanjo Guarnido (illustrator of Blacksad) had some rad compliments for Nordguard: Across Thin Ice, so that alone made my whole convention. :]
This weekend, I'll actually be in two places at once. One half is in Baltimore for a gigantic tiny-horse convention (table 201 if you want to swing by to say hi and check out pony-related-paraphernalia!)
The other half will be closer to the home front, at Denver's Rocky Mountain Fur Con! Stop on by the dealer's den if you're keen to check out prints ranging from $5 and up, Scratches CDs, limited edition signed/numbered prints, a couple originals, Nordguard patches, and so on!
Sofawolf Press will also be at RMFC, with copies of Nordguard, the Nordguard Card Game, Dog's Days of Summer, and a whole lot more of their catalog!
(And hey, if you haven't checked it out--go on and look at our Room Party KickStarter! We're getting close to the FurCon Expansion stretch goal!)

Funded, Furry Con Expansion!
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
This weekend, we've been at ComicCon International in San Diego, both demoing the Room Party game and doing our usual job of helping out at the Sofawolf Press booth, #1236. We've taken it into the game room where CCI staff enjoyed it enough to offer a dedicated table. Room Party has met with positive and very enthusiastic reactions, and we're all really excited to see it get off the ground.
So, suffice to say--you're all amazing! The core funding for the Room Party Game was made yesterday, just a few days from starting the KickStarter! What does that mean? Well, it means we can start pushing to meet a couple awesome Stretch Goals!
We've updated the KickStarter page to reflect a few of the announced Stretch Goals, so check 'em out here!
The stretch goal I am most excited about is the Furry Con expansion! If we reach the stretch goal, everyone who's donated at least enough to get a deck will ALSO get the 60 card expansion pack as a bonus! That's a really sweet deal!
Also, if the game makes the stretch goal, I will be doing the artwork for the Furry expansion! I'm actually really looking forward to it, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!
If you haven't had the chance already, check out the game, here!
Thanks for just looking or spreading the word, and a whole lot of thanks (and awesome schawg) for funding!

Room Party, the Kickstarter
Posted 12 years agoTime to hit you with something out of the blue!
A project of mine has just started on KickStarter, and I think you may be interested!
What am I talking about?? A card game. A card game we’ve had in secret for seven years.
It’s called Room Party, and it’s pretty awesome.
[Here’s the KickStarter link if you don’t even want to bother reading any more. I don’t blame you. You can trust me when I say it’s awesome.]
After years of working a wide variety of conventions big and small, from ComicCon to AnthroCon, and as well as attending dozens of different SciFi, anime, brony, furry, and comic cons—we’ve met a lot of crazy characters. During that time, we’ve ended up in a lot of hotel room parties, hanging out with tons of different types from all walks of geek culture.
The idea of Room Party is to take what makes those weird shindigs either awesome or horrifying, and turn it into a hilarious interactive experience for your next soirée.
The goal is simple: Build the most awesome room party at the convention.
[Click here to watch the KickStarter video, see cards, and learn more!]
One thing that really makes Room Party unique is the hilarious narrative which naturally develops every time you play. For instance, you may have a party where the Booth Bunny shows up and brings her Hot Girlfriend, but then an Awkward Boner causes Drama, and they flee the room to the next party over--or someone may drop the Pet Tiger into your party, which it kind of upsetting when it starts to maul people--but at least it's better than the "balcony incident" and that accidental death. There are over 160 cards, such as booze, online aliases, creepers, collectors, cosplayers, noise complaints, fresh towels, ghosters, wizards, fursuits, elevator lines, and so much more!
Endless combinations make each game unfold into a unique and awesome (and often disturbing) convention party!
[Here’s the Kickstarter again] which has images, more info, a video, and lots of funding levels with lots of cool stuff!
A little history…
This game has been years in the making. The first draft started as a drunken joke more than seven years ago, something to poke fun at ourselves and the geek cultures we identified with. We'd play it at conventions with friends at parties, with onlookers crowding in and asking to play the next round. The rumor of it grew, so we kept adding and improving to it. Now it's ready for its first public appearance! It retains its original foundation of real-life experience, a little convention myth, and a whole lot of snarky, good natured fun.
While we designed the game, Mitti has stepped in to do the artwork, since she does wicked caricatures. Another friend, Jack, asked to jump in as a producer and turn this into something more. With his help, we refined the game. He wrangled the Kickstarter and got us where we are now!
Please take a look, drop a little toward funding if you like—but no matter what, thanks! :]
[Click for KICKSTARTER page!]
(PS--one of our “unannounced” stretch goals is the Furry Expansion, which we will do the artwork for. Should it come to be, I guarantee it will be amazing. Accidental vore, SPHs, plushies, fursuit piles, tails, parades and…well, I hope we get there!)

A Secret, Seven Year Project
Posted 12 years agoThe cat's out of the bag, folks!! Read all about it here!
======
I'm really excited that within the week, I will be able to announce a project we've had in the works, off and on, for seven years. It started life as a drunk joke to poke fun at ourselves and, good-naturedly, at the geek cultures we identified with.
It's been "pseudo secret," something we've shared with friends at conventions over the years as it grew and developed. It became a little infamous, even.
Now, with the help of a couple amazing people, it's taken on a new life, and is ready for the world.
So, stay tuned. Trust me, it's pretty awesome. >:D

Ready, Set... AnthroCon!
Posted 12 years agoTomorrow, I join the fast and furrious migration to AnthroCon 2013!
During the day, you can find me in the Dealer’s Room, at table E05, across from the Sofawolf Isle in the middle of the room! Here’s a map!
I will have the usual fair, prints of all shapes and sizes, including large 16x12 signed and numbered prints of Winter’s Shadow and Dragonborn! Also, I’ll have originals for sale at the table, including some ready-to-wear badges, little animal paintings, sketches, and then some Scratches CDs. This year, I will also have a few things I’ve never had before, but I’ll keep ‘em a surprise for the moment, so you’ll have to come by the table sometime to see ‘em!
Hint: if you like Dog’s Days of Summer and having something to put your beverage in, you might want to come by early since I don’t have many!
Secondly! Check out Sofawolf Press and pick up a copy of Heat Vol. 10, too! I have a 12 page adult comic in this anthology, titled “Mail Bonding,” *winkwinknudgenudge*
Sofawolf will also have Dog’s Days of Summer, Nordguard: Across Thin Ice, the Nordguard Card Game, and of course, Kyell Gold’s Out of Position books! (Actually, for the very first time, Kyell Gold will be at AnthroCon, so you can get your books signed seven ways ‘til Sunday in person!)
Lots of paintings for sale in the artshow, too, of course: Cleansing, Winter’s Shadow, Divisions, a few of the Divisions interior originals, Yo Ho Ho, Scrumptious, Initiated, Saw-Whet, Limbo—and the very last, 5/5 of the large limited edition prints of Puppy Love. In the adult show: Penis Party, Hideaway, one of the adult Divisions interiors, and a few others you'll have to go and see!
I’ve been looking forward to the convention a lot, since it’s the beginning to a very fun (albeit busy) summer! This one’s going to be a good one! Fireworks, baby!
Cheers,
-Blotch

The Second Nordguard Book
Posted 12 years agoA few people have asked over the last couple of weeks, so I figured it was time to make a general announcement!
The second Nordguard book, Under Dark Skies, won’t be making its debut this summer.
Last year turned out to be a rough year in a few ways, with a lot of upsets that made it difficult to settle in and devote the time I really needed. Each page takes roughly 35-40 hours from start to finish, and there’s just no rushing it in the end. In many ways, this project is a labor of love, but love doesn’t always pay the bills, heal the sick, put fresh coffee on the table, or add extra days to the calendar.
It’s not been forgotten, however. I’ve actually got a substantial part finished, or on paper. But this summer is a busy one, between three large conventions I’ll be dealing at, personal obligations, other smaller art projects, and then the appropriate soul-searching and struggle it takes to get back on track. It’s daunting on any day, I’ve got to admit. I hope to “get back on the sled” later this year, and little by little, reach the end of this very long road.
Cheers,
-Blotch

Cheers,
-Blotch

(Finally) a Print Sale! (Plus..)
Posted 12 years ago>>Print sale is over for this year!
Thanks so much!<<I've been procrastinating, but it's finally time to do a little (almost late) spring cleaning!
Aside from just a print sale like previous years, I have some other stuff up for grabs.
The Sale will last from June 6th - June 10th!
All the Info can be found here!
Included in the sale, is some of the original artwork for the Nordguard Card Game!
(I usually bring the binder with me to conventions to sell the pieces at my table, but I wanted to free up some luggage space this year.)
These are the one-of-a-kind orignal watercolor paintings, the artwork of which was used in the official Nordguard Card Game. Each piece is roughly 4.25"3 inches, signed, stamped and titled on the back.
I also have a pretty sweet deal on Scratches CDs (which are in a limited supply right now, so take advantage now!)
This weekend only, Vol. 6 is $15
And Vol. 1-5 on one disk is $55
(That's over 600 images!)
Lastly, Nordguard Patches, and a selection of 8x10 matted prints can be found!
The sale will be going on in two places--the Nordguard originals, matted prints, and Nordguard patches are list on my StorEnvy site.
If you want to get other prints, or Scratches CDs, follow the instructions below!
(And yes, I can combine orders if you wanted something from StoreEnvy, and also a regular print/CD.)

FWA Next Weekend!
Posted 12 years agoIn a couple of days, I catch an early flight for Atlanta and FWA!
I can't wait, actually--FWA has quickly become one of my favorite conventions to attend. It's loads of fun, and there's a bunch of awesome east-coast folks I hardly see otherwise!
During the day, I'll be in the Dealer's Room, next to Sofawolf Press/Kyell Gold (here's a map)!
I will have the usual mix of stuff--prints of all sizes from $5 and up, a handful original watercolor badges which are ready to wear (see 'em here!), some original sketches for sale, Nordguard patches/stickers, Scratches CDs, and so on!
Hope to see you there, even if you just stop by for a moment!
Furry Weekend Atlanta is my last convention for a couple months, wrapping up a busy few weeks between Texas Furry Fiesta, and Emerald City ComicCon.
(There's a list of my 2013 conventions at the bottom of this page, for anyone interested.)
After that, it's back to work on comic-stuff, art-stuff, and travel-stuff.
Cheers,
-Blotch

Emerald City ComicCon this Weekend!
Posted 12 years agoThe busy start to spring continues! I am in Seattle this weekend for Emerald City ComicCon, which is downtown in the convention center!
Most of the time, I will be at the Sofawolf Press booth, which is #512! I've actually got a smattering of merchandise with me to sell, including Nordguard patches and the a small amount of the big, numbered/signed Dragonborn prints!
I am more than happy to sign any of my books, or ones I've done illustrations for, so stop on by if you like!
Sofawolf Press will have copious copies of Nordguard: Across Thin Ice, as well as Dog's Days of Summer, and a large portion of their catalog, including Kyell Gold's novels, and comics such as Prydwen by Lynn Hogan, and Peachy Keen by Mandi Tremblay--all of whom will be around at ECCC and happy to sign stuff, too!
Feel free to follow me on Twitter (@screwbald) to keep track of when I'm at the table!
Anyhow! If I don't see you on the west coast this weekend, perhaps I'll see you on the east coast later this month! I'll be at Furry Weekend Atlanta!
Cheers!

Texas Furry Fiesta!
Posted 12 years agoCome rain, snow or John de Lancie, I'll be in Texas at Furry Fiesta this weekend! You'll be able to find me in the Dealer's Room, next to Fur Planet's table! (That or wandering around, potentially drunk and/or aimless! McKay will likely make an appearance, too--also potentially drunk and/or aimless! ;] )
I will have a bunch of stuff with me, as per usual-- original sketches for sale, prints from $5 and up, Nordguard patches and stickers, Scratches CDs, and so on!
You're welcome to just come by and say hello! I hope to see you there!*
*Course, maybe've already seen you there. It's tough to tell with time travel.
In other news...
And so begins a fairly busy couple of weeks for me--right after Texas Furry Fiesta, I am flying out to Emerald City ComicCon in Seattle, where I will be at the Sofawolf Press booth. A couple weeks after that, I will be at Furry Weekend Atlanta, in the Dealer's Room.

The convention was a lot of fun, as usual! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the table to say "hi" or pick something up! As always, it's nice to see old friends and put faces to names.
(For those that came by and saw the MLP stuff--those were care of SophieCabra, who has some more for sale, should you need more printed Ponies to populate your pastures.)
SCRATCHES VOL. 6
Also, now that I've settled back in, I can offer more Scratches Vol. 6 CDs! So, if you missed the first round, don't fret!
Here's the full journal of information, but in short:

Scratches Vol. 6!
Posted 13 years agoCome one, come all! Come in pairs, in threesomes and foursomes! Come with friends or come alone, but most certainly, come!
Gather around good people of the Internet, for it's another new year--which means--the end to another dry spell! Are you pining for pictures of penetration, thirsty for a touch of titillation, or simply suffering from a lack of imagination? Looking for some illustrations to add new sensations to your self ministrations?
Accept no substitutions or dubious duplications!
There is but one--beside the other five--manly muse for masturbation!
This is the arguably greatest, and certainly latest, lexicon of lusts: Scratches Vol. 6!
What you need is anthro animals all-around aroused and asking for affection! One brand-new collection of come-hither canines, teasing tigers, amorous alligators, leashed lions, hot and heavy horses, passionate pachyderms, and loving lemurs! Wicked wolves to wet your whistle and filthy foxes feed the fantasy!
This latest collection of Scratches is guaranteed not to rust, throw sparks or put out fires, but may cure chastity, cause consideration of bi-curiosity, or create the conditions for crazy carnality!
But what exactly is it, you want to know!
It’s a CD collection of sketches and so forth, overflowing with over 120 high-resolution porn-o-graphic images, over 90 never before online!
So here’s the short and sweet! For a mere $25 (which includes shipping to the US) you get this brand new Scratches Vol. 6 CD filled with over 120 adult male/male sketches, colored pencil works and painted pieces—all at a higher-than-web-resolution, at 1200 pixels long or wide.
*Over 120 images, 90 never before seen!
*All male/male, or in some cases, m/m/m/m/m/m/m
*Only $25, which covers shipping to the US!
(+$2 USD for overseas shipping)Check out a sample image from Scratches Vol. 6, right here!
How do you get this fine CD into your collection, you want to know!
Just email me at screwbald[at]gmail.com and I'll tell you all you need to know about getting this miracle product in your paws!
I will be offering a short sale online for the CDs until Monday, the 14th, so order now if you're interested! After that, you will find Vol. 6 on my dealer's table at FurtherConfusion the following weekend, as well as at other conventions I attend throughout the year.
The CD will be shipped in a slim DVD case for your own (and it's) protection, packaged in a bubble mailer by USPS First Class. I plan on having the majority in the post on Monday.
BUT WAIT! That’s not all!
If you missed the last couple of years, I’ve also got Scratches Volume 5 available for $20, or Volume 4 for $15 (plus shipping.)
And for those who are just joining the fun, I am offer a single CD bundled with the previous years Vol. 1 - 5 for the low price of $65! VOTE for the next Scratches V6 Cover!
Posted 13 years agoFor those who’ve been waiting and anticipating, the time has almost come for the latest and most lascivious volume of Scratches, yet—Vol. 6!
As many have noticed, some may have forgotten, and a few have been too distracted to notice—every volume of Scratches since the second adds a new amorous animal to the cover!
See for yourself:

Don’t voice your opinion here, however! It won’t be counted toward the final count.

Voting will stay open until January 5th.
Scratches Vol. 6 will be up for purchase in mid-January for sale online, as well as at Further Confusion (and then subsequent conventions throughout the year.)

Happy Holidays, and a Great New Year!
Posted 13 years agoI hope everyone is having an excellent holiday season so far! Personally, it's been a snowy, feastful, rather intoxicated few days, and I have no complaints! :]
This year has been a turbulent one, but most are. In a few days, I will be celebrating the New Year with friends and family, and I can't wait. I look forward to what 2013 has to offer!
At the very least, may you be safe and warm, and have plenty of good fortune on the horizon!
Best Wishes & Cheers,

Back, & Prints/Stuff for Sale!
Posted 13 years agoI have returned, spiritually refreshed by my distant sojourn, and relaxed from a few lazy days of vacation and recuperation from said vacation! The last few weeks, I’ve sprawled on beaches, hiked mountains, played with molten lava, driven down rivers, and enjoyed a lot of world-class fish-viewing (and eating). I will add, however, the return to 20 degree temperatures and snow on the ground was jarring and unpleasant. ;]
In my absence, it seems like all the trees now have lights, holiday music has begun its infiltration of radio stations, and the gift-hunting frenzy is on the rise.
So! A couple things, if you’re at a loss!
The Werewolf Calendar for 2013 makes a great gift for anyone, packed with art, and it also won’t be available for much longer! Check out all of the awesome artwork here, or click here to order today!
Sofawolf Press is having a huge holiday sale through December 21st!
Included, of course, is Nordguard: Across Thin Ice (in both hard and soft covers,) Out of Position and Isolation Play by Kyell Gold (if you’ve been waiting to read, now’s a good time to start, since the third book, Divisions, will be coming out early 2013!)
There’s also Lynn Hogan’s dark fantasy, full color graphic novel, Prydwen, all six volumes of Ursula Vernon’s recently Hugo Winning series Digger, and novels by Michael H. Payne, and M.C.A. Hogarth!
Lastly, my own stuff!
I have some matted prints left over from various conventions, so I figure it’s a good time to try and make room for new stuff next year!
Check ‘em out here! They are first come, first serve, and very limited quantities (pretty much one of each.) I’ll cut off sales Tuesday the 18th, just to be sure I can get anything that sells in the post before the holidays. All the rest of the information you’ll need, you can find right here!
I also have Nordguard Patches on hand again! They are $6 per, shipping is $2/$3 USA/Overseas. More info over here!
Now... back to art with me!
Cheers, and stay warm!

Gone, Gone, Gone
Posted 13 years agoAs of today, I have wrapped up doing the cover and ten interior illustrations for Kyell Gold's new novel, Divisions! The book is the third in the Out of Position series, and continues the story of Dev and Lee.
And now, with no pressing deadlines to keep me down…
Come tomorrow, I am getting on a plane, and with no less than four layovers, will I find myself on a black sand beach, drink in hand, with worries some 3,000 miles behind.
Needless to say, I will be nigh impossible to reach, very slow to respond, and 100% offline for a few weeks! If you absolutely have to get a hold of me, toss your message in a bottle, or tie it to a carrier pigeon pointed "west" and it may get to me! If not, it'll have to wait! :]
Best to you all!
Cheers,
-Blotch

Midwest Furfest Bound
Posted 13 years agoIn an hour or so, I pack my bags and head out to the airport, bound for Midwest Furfest in Chicago!
This year, you can find me in the Dealer's Room camping a corner of Sofawolf Press. I will have prints, originals (including some watercolor ready-to-wear badges!), Scratches CDs, Nordguard patches and stickers for sale, among other stuff! Stop by and check it out!
Sofawolf Press will be carrying copies of Across Thin Ice, free teasers for the second Nordguard book, Under Dark Skies, and the reprint of the Nordguard card game, along with the majority of their catalog! I will be happy to sign anything I've worked on, of course!
(Also, speaking of the Nordguard Card Game! You can come see me and pick up a special free Event card for the game!)
That's all, I suppose! Hope to see in you in Illinois for the festivities, but if not, have a fun weekend wherever!
Cheers,

The Last Weeks; The Upcoming Weeks
Posted 13 years agoThe last couple of weeks have been busy ones, split between working on an assortment of projects, personal time and social calls. The most notable of things I’ve been working on has been the interior illustrations and cover artwork for Kyell Gold’s upcoming novel, the third book in the Out of Position series. Kyell has not yet make the official announcement just yet, releasing the title of the new book, but that will be soon when I’ve finished up the cover!
Keep an eye out next week (either here, or @screwbald on Twitter,) since I’ll probably LiveStream painting one of the interior illustrations, and Kyell will jump on the chat to answer questions about the book, writing, or life in general!
In the upcoming weeks, I will actually be at Midwest Furfest! I wasn’t planning on it until fairly recently, but you’ll still find me in the dealer’s den, most likely camping a corner of the Sofawolf Press tables!
The reason for the schedule change is a rather unfortunate one. While I will be at MWFF in November, I cannot travel to MidFur this December as planned due to circumstances entirely out of my control. Don’t worry though! The convention has the ever-awesome and wonderful Dark Natasha stepping up to take my place! And in 2013 you will find me there, hell or high water!
Oh, and just a note for you Australians: If you are going to MidFur, and you’d like to get any books from the Sofawolf Press catalog—which includes Nordguard: Across Thin Ice, Dog’s Days of Summer, HEAT Vol. 1-9, or many of Kyell Gold’s titles, check this out! You can pre-order books/comics for pick up at the convention, and save a substantial amount on shipping!
(By the way, Kyell Gold will also be at MiDFur, so you can get your books signed! Just sayin’…!)
Between other art-things, Scratches Vol. 6 has been coming along, slow but steady. My aim is to have it out for MFF, but some things you can’t rush.
Also, I apologize if anyone has emailed or noted in the last couple weeks and I haven’t responded. I fell behind on email and contact with the outside world, and it’s been a slow recovery to normal!
Speaking of which, time to finish the rest of these OOP3 illustrations…!
Keep an eye out next week (either here, or @screwbald on Twitter,) since I’ll probably LiveStream painting one of the interior illustrations, and Kyell will jump on the chat to answer questions about the book, writing, or life in general!

Also, I apologize if anyone has emailed or noted in the last couple weeks and I haven’t responded. I fell behind on email and contact with the outside world, and it’s been a slow recovery to normal!
Speaking of which, time to finish the rest of these OOP3 illustrations…!
